Muddywater's poker videos
VIDEOS: HEADS-UP AND SIX-MAX NLHE, PLO, COUNT THE ZEROS LOCATION: CHICAGO, IL
Andrew "Muddywater" Wiggins, one of the founders of CardRunners, took up poker his senior year of high school, playing .25-.50 NLHE with friends. He had trouble finding games when he started at the University of Illinois and began playing .25-.50 PLHE on Party Poker. After Taylor Caby introduced him to Ultimate Bet, he began playing $5 SNGs. He started winning consistently and by the end of the school year was beating $20 SNGs and winning his way into higher-stakes MTTs.
During the first week of the summer of 2004, Muddywater placed fifth in a $200 tournament and won a $100 tournament. He never looked back: When school resumed, Andrew was consistently beating $100 SNGs and high-stakes online tournaments. By the end of the year, he had begun to focus on cash games. He beat 2-4 NLHE immediately; several months later he moved up to 5-10.
Muddywater has cashed in both a World Poker Tour event and a World Series of Poker event, and though he’s beaten higher stakes, he now focuses on multi-tabling SNGS and mid-stakes NLHE. When he isn't playing poker, he enjoys playing the guitar, golfing and traveling. He lives near Wrigley Field in Chicago and is an avid fan of Chicago sports teams.
