When [vital]Myth started playing poker in 2003, he wanted to become so good that he would be recognized and feared at the tables. Six years later, he has accomplished that and much more, with a WSOP final table, a victory in a $2,000 prelim to a WPT event, countless other tournament wins, and a consistent winning record in mid-stakes cash games.

[vital]Myth is a complete poker player: he has not only studied the minutiae of the game in order to plug all his leaks, but also worked to structure everything from his playing sessions to his sleep schedule for optimal performance. This robust understanding of how to succeed at poker has made him both a top-tier player and coach. Over 20 of his long-term students are now successful players.

These skills have made him a consistent winner at $60, $75, and $119 SNGs.

lefty2506 has been playing and beating PLO games from 10-20 to 100-200 for years. He doesn’t look for default lines or quick answers: he sees every situation as a “poker problem,” to which he finds the most complete answer he can.

Lefty attributes much of his success to the way he has integrated his poker life and his life off the felt. He sees his diet, sleep schedule, and exercise as extensions of his mental game at poker, and he is presently finishing his BBA at the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. Lefty treats poker like a career and in doing so has made himself one of the best PLO careers of anyone online.

When he got back to law school, he came down with severe appendicitis, and while bedridden won another $12,500. That $16,000 was the makings of a bankroll -- he was disillusioned with law school, gave poker a shot, and soon after won the Sunday Million.

mLagoo's strongest skills are postflop, especially turn and river play. These give him a big edge in the early stages of tournaments, when stacks are deeper. Isaac, formerly known on Full Tilt as “the guru 11,” won the Card Player Player of the Year award for a 2007 that included wins in the FTP $750,000 Guaranteed and many other major online tournaments. Isaac then went on to win the first event of FTOPS XIII in 2008.

Isaac's successes have gone far beyond the online tournament arena. Before he took 4th in the 2008 EPT Main Event in Monte Carlo, he had already finished 11th in the San Remo event.  In late 2009, he took 1st in the Caesars Palace Classic.  With these and other live cashes, Isaac has amassed over $3,000,000 in live tournament winnings despite his youth. Equally impressive are his cash-game credentials: he is skilled both at NLHE and PLO cash games, playing and beating high stakes in both games.

Andrew "Muddywater" Wiggins, one of the founders of CardRunners, took up poker his senior year of high school, playing .25-.50 NLHE with friends. He had trouble finding games when he started at the University of Illinois and began playing .25-.50 PLHE on Party Poker. After Taylor Caby introduced him to Ultimate Bet, he began playing $5 SNGs. He started winning consistently and by the end of the school year was beating $20 SNGs and winning his way into higher-stakes MTTs.

During the first week of the summer of 2004, Muddywater placed fifth in a $200 tournament and won a $100 tournament. He never looked back: When school resumed, Andrew was consistently beating $100 SNGs and high-stakes online tournaments. By the end of the year, he had begun to focus on cash games. He beat 2-4 NLHE immediately; several months later he moved up to 5-10.

Muddywater has cashed in both a World Poker Tour event and a World Series of Poker event, and though he’s beaten higher stakes, he now focuses on multi-tabling SNGS and mid-stakes NLHE. When he isn't playing poker, he enjoys playing the guitar, golfing and traveling.  He lives near Wrigley Field in Chicago and is an avid fan of Chicago sports teams.

nutedawg believes that many players have a certain level of abstract knowledge of the game, but that very few of them actually apply that knowledge consistently over the felt. Therefore, his teaching emphasizes the constant application of all the relevant poker concepts, without shortcuts or auto-piloting. Not only does this teach strong, solid play, it allows one to see nonstandard plays. These plays -- extreme underbets and overbets, for example -- are some of his specialties, and he teaches them, and much more, in his CardRunners videos.

Predator says ”I was lucky when starting out to be able to watch a friend play 20,000+ hands of PLO8 while I played small stakes NLHE SNG’s. This greatly shortened or possibly even eliminated the learning curve where most new players lose money and give up. PLO8 is a great way to build a bankroll. Applying familiar concepts to a new game can be a tough poker challenge, but it is one thatpfunk has met brilliantly. Last year he made the transition to PLO from NLHE, where he was and still is able to win at the higher limits.

Heads-up is thatpfunk's specialty, and he accepts the enormous bankroll swings as a part of his job. In his heads-up videos for CardRunners, he explains how he approaches every hand in a session, and how a good understanding of basic poker concepts can allow a player to find "out-of-the-box" plays.
