So today i started up 600$ and actually got lucky in a hand where i 4 bet jammed with24hh against a player on cake who me and my friend had been watching. He'd been over 3-betting and overbetting preflop just to show bluffs everytime and insta folding to raises. I raised 12$ with 24hh and he made it 80$ and i jammed for $400, unfortunately he had jj but i spiked a 24k flop and held like a luckbox. But as I played later that day I lost a 800$ pot with aqdd on a kd5d2x board against j9dd all in on the flop and whenever i seem to get people in with smaller fluhs draws they have been hitting their miracles almost everytime. Well that started the downswing for the day and continued to lose a 400$ pot all in on the flop with j9cc on a 8c2c4x board against a8. then missing k9ss on a js7s3x board vs aj. for another 400$ pot. I decided to quit after that because when i run bad it seems like it just a waste of time to even play anymore.. I have been struggling my whole career on how to play through downswings and the only way i have been able to cut them down this year has been to simply quit when i begin sense a downswing. I seem to run like nobody else where when i am winning i can never be stopped, but when i am losing i will almost never be up in the session unless ip lay over 3k hands. at least. It gets me so frustrated because i am so competitive and hate to quit so fast. Then at about 1 am i was bored and decided to try and run up 50$ in plo to as much as i can by jumping the limits. I crushed one guy for $230 and immediately when to .5/1 where i lost a 200$ with bottom set against top set. then another 200$ pot with as5s78 in a 4 bet pot on a 34c6c flop and of course i lost to 577cqc to a flush on the river. of course i tried to play through the bad luck and went back to .25/50 and did not win a single hand. my ending hand was on a kd3d7x. board with kxjdqd5x. against ak52 no draws. I hope someday i will be able to figure out how to eventually book a win when i start losing.. but after millions of hands i have always ran the same way and no matter how many times i try to play through the bad runs i will very rarely come out a winner and so rarely a big winner. I guess the smartest thing to do would be to continue to quit fast if i find myself running bad early on before losing anything significant. and to play as long as i could until i feel a bad run coming. I don't know how people can continue playing through a bad run and drop down limits and make their way up again... It doesn't even matter what i play.. if im running bad i will run bad in eveyrhting. I am still recovering from my downswing and have about 7k more to win to reach my peak of 70k. I am still on track to reach my goal of 100k for the year starting from a short roll of 6k But mainly i i wish i can find a way to book a winwhen starting out losing. I either run unbelievably BAD as in i will not win any all in hand or i will run unvelievably good where almost all of my hands will hold .
