Ok, so after watching some cardrunners videos, specifically Jackal's on SNGs, I figured out that MTTs are a cash game util the average stack has an M of 10, then it becomes a game of shove/fold/call. Next I realized it turns into a weak cash game until the bubble, the shove/fold/call. Lastly, the game returns to TAG cash game play until the 10th player busts.
You pros are probably thinking....no shit.
What I'm most proud of is I finished 3rd out of 170 on absolute. I found myself down to a chip and a chair and looked for juicy odds and acted decicively to pull out of the whole. Very few showdowns. Each showdown was certainly a coin flip from preflop.
What took me to the final table was blind stealing from the average stacks and aggressively betting after dead money against weak players. I felt like I discovered the meaning of life while watching the blinds fold to a big big bet from the button and I had Kx, or better.
So, luck certainly had something to do with it. However, I think aggression and psychology allowed me to weather the bad spots to the end.
