I'm finally practicing proper bankroll management and beginning to see an up curve on my SitNGo tournaments stats. For the longest time I would play good for a few days and then bounce back to my bad habits. Ultimately it has cost me lots over the past two years or so. Resources like CardRunners are essential and I am thankful to have access to all the videos and forums.
Today I played a $30+3 SitNGo on Full Tilt Poker. Went well till blinds were 50/100, player on the button raised which he has done numerous times stealing blinds. I was in BB this instance with KQs Diamonds. I reraised figuring he would fold in his attempt to steal. Instead he called. The flop gave me an open end draw and a running flush draw. I checked, as did he. A Queen of Diamonds was turned. I bet the pot to take it there, he moved all in and I figured him on a lower pair. I called figuring I had top pair with an open ender. He showed K9o to have a straight already. Obviously he won the hand. I was down to around $600.

I managed to get my stack back up to around $5400 and was heads up. Through careful raises and blind steals, I got my stack to $11,000. Then the cards took a shift and the villain regained some chips back up to $5000, and I had around $8000. Im still patient knowing I'll get him all in when I have the superior hand. Finally I have ATo, call his raise. Flop holds A rag rag. I quickly move all in and am called. Villain shows A2o, perfect. Not so much when a 2 comes on the river. Now I'm down to $3,000 and waiting patiently to get my chips all in when I know its good. Finally I am up to around $3500 and move all in on the button with K9o, villain calls with K4o. Of course only a 4 comes on the flop and another on the turn basicly setting his win in stone. So I took 2nd Place but at least I can say I play solidly. But I didn't play perfect because nobody ever plays perfect.
