Question about Programming and Coding Software

I have no experience with any sort of programming or coding, but I am sure some of you guys do.

1. How difficult would it be to write a program like PokerStove?

2. How difficult would it be a write a simple simulator where you play NLHE HU vs. a computer opponent who is programmed to make basic plays with specific frequencies and ranges?

Grably is not correct. Pokerstove is amazingly fast and has yet to be replicated although many have tried. The actually coding itself would not be difficult for any legitimate programmer. The problem is the actual logic.

There was a thread in the programming forum on 2+2 talking about writing a PS type program. While alot of people could get it to work, no one could come close to the speed and small size of pokerstove. (Which btw does not have a database. All the logic is trapped in the executeble).

Someone mentioned that at one time, the creator of PS released his source code to the public but has since took it down and will not give or sell it to anyone. That is too bad because I would love to have it. I have been making my living programming for the past 13 years and would live to write some poker apps for myself.

Your second request would probably be easier to write, but I think It would take an incredible amount of time and work to make even a basic HU sim.
