Playing $25 PLO on Merge and the trend is pretty clear right now:

I know that 5K hands isn't a lot, but I just find myself in a lot of situations where I have no idea what to do (and often pay off better hands or get it in badly). This doesn't happen often in NLHE and just highlights my massive gaps in this game. I'm very motivated to learn it though, especially after reading Botafogo's "Top 10 Reasons to Switch to PLO from NLHE" on Nutblocker. Basically:
* Omaha is more complicated so players with better understanding will have a bigger edge. * Lots of gamble, which is exciting for recreational players. * More variance = bigger delusion of skill. * Any many more.
I watched DJRoss's "Exploitable Professional" #1 today. Will probably watch part 2 tomorrow. I also started reading Bugs's "PLO from Scratch" booklet. It's pretty good, but seems like there is a lot to digest. I'll also re-watch some of Gakn29's videos. I can already see that learning Omaha is going to be very different from learning NLHE.
The biggest thing I'm struggling with right now is how to not be a station and what type of hands to three-bet and call three-bets with. At least I know what a few things that I'm doing wrong :)
