Quick update

Well what can I say.. playing A game poker= profit. Since last week I am up $800. I probably would be up another 500 or so but I have a problem with table selection HU. I seem to want to play everybody that sits with me even if I know that they are even skill wise or slightly better than me. I just love the challenge of trying to outplay an opponent. It is much more profitable to grind fish and wait for them to stack off but I just cant help myself for wanting to compete with better players. At least it is not a complete loss since I will improve my game by facing these opponents. Oh yeah as far as only playing 4 tables I think that was a little extreme to say since I was playing 9 tables before so dropping down to 6 has been adequate.

Also I haven't been playing poker as much this week because I have been busy watching the ALCS. This has been a great series! Every game has been exciting with games 2 and 3 going into extra innings. I am from NY so I have always been an avid Yankees fan and I am so psyched by the way that we have been playing in this series.

Handling a downswing

Well once again I find myself in the midst of a downswing
in poker. About a week ago I hit an all time high in my
poker "career" by reaching $5,500 in my account. Since
then I have had 3 losing sessions all between $500 and
$600. The problem is once I start winning I think it is
easy and I start playing more tables and going on auto
pilot. I acquired 5.5k by maximizing value and minimizing
risk on every hand. I NEED TO PLAY "A" GAME POKER ON EVERY
HAND. OK so the conclusion is back to the grind. I am
going to drop down to no more than 2 tables of HU or 4
tables of 6max.
