I just took 4th in the 70k guarantee $55 buy-in on stars
I got $5075 for my efforts and i was short stacked w/ 7 to play.
Im happy with my play on all aspects.
I chopped a 500k pot when i held AA VS AQ 4 handed the board ran out 3-4-5-6-7 not in that order but...
I'm sour though in the fact that i cant seem to get that 5 figure score i so desperately want.
The last 4 days have been hell online w/ lots of bubbles and suckouts.
I was down to 6k chips w/ the blinds at 600-1200
hit a sick run and held up and was at 200k before i knew it.
Very frustrating but big shout out to Cardrunners and everyone involved for helping me to become the player i am today.

I final tabled a bellagio $330 event only to get AK aipf Vs 88 the very first hand at the table
I also took 3rd in 2 sit and gos that payed 2 spots
I played 1 deepstack event too.
In the deepstack i built up to 30k by level 3 only to reraise AJdd pre flop have KJ flat me and try to make a move on me on a 10 high flop for 60k chips. Yes i snapped him off and yes i got fucked. I was so happy that i could make that call and be comp[letely right. It took me so long to make the call i had a clock called on me. prolly 6 minutes total. When I c-bet the flop he checked his cards and i really felt like he had KQ and was checking for a backdoor draw. It was actually kj but whatever.

The fact of the matter is that I know in the back of my head that I am good enough to never hold a real job again.
Its been 3 years already. However my drinking/smoking/partying is holding me back. I need to put in hours if i ever want to reach the wealth that i want. I thought about looking for a backer but my thought on that is that if I know im a winning player then why in the hell would i wanna give someone half. I need to put my money where my mouth is and take my roll and not be afraid to go bust because it simply WONT happen.

Its 7am here in palm springs. Took a lil time away from live poker in the past month. About 72 hours ago I logged onto my pokerstars acct to make a small deposit to play some rebuys when i realized i had $2.36 still on there.
I decided to enter a 180 person $2.20 sit and go. I won it for $108..............
My account currently sits at just under 3k LOFL Im tired too :)
Definitely my sickest run ever.

Im leaving for vegas apr. 5th gonna play some of the deepstack events at venetian and 1-2 of the bellagio events.

Umm yeah... I played those first couple sessions and everything seemed to be going on track, But then...
Superbowl happened and i have been in an alcoholic state of bliss since then. I finally mustered up the energy to go play a deepstack 2-5 game they spread sometimes at one of the local casinos. I bought in for $600 not sure why 6 but anyways i double up when my pair of tens hold on an 8 high flop vs. A-8 then I gain a few more when i min raise an A-9-6-7-8 Board on the river w/ air, but then...

Im sitting on just under 1400 when this hand comes.

8 handed 2nd pos. raises to $40 i call directly behind w/44, big stack in cutoff comes along as well.
the raiser has about $500 to start hand, big stack covers me.
Flop 9-4-2 (2 to a flush)
Original raiser checks (he has queens) I fire $100 Big stack calls, Original raiser goes all in for like 450, i reraise all in to 1300+/- big stack SNAP CALLS! flips over 2-2

Went back to the Spa for another quick session. I played for 2.5 hours.
So in total after Day 1 I have played 5.5 hours for a total profit of $460.
At this rate I am currently behind by about $15 per hour.
I did lose two larger pots this session.
$600 pot AIPF KK VS 1010 10 ON FLOP
$300 pot All in on J-8-7 flop w/ 2 spades I hold A9SS vs QJoff.
I really feel that this challenge is very achievable.
Time will tell.

I believe that I avg well over $100 per hour for every hour that I play in $1-3 NL at my local Indian casino.
Today It's time to put up or shut up...

I am sure that this sounds pretty absurd to most people w/ the number of hands dealt per hour in live play, however this game is pretty horrid overall. Time will tell. If I do succeed in this challenge I will reward myself by moving out of my sh!tty 2 bedroom apartment in the "crack towers" and go ahead and move myself and my roomates into a home in palm springs w/ a pool. We live in a pretty grimy area and it would be very nice to get the fuck out of here lol. I also bought a 46in LCD TV and a 100 gallon fishtank w/ the whole setup. I want to move out of here before I set it up. I will update later today with my first results of the challenge. GL me

I'm in Los Angeles this week to play at Commerce for the LAPC. I went to event #1 getting there about an hour and a half early to register. When we arrived there was a line about as long as I''ve ever seen for a poker tournament.
We waited about an hour, hardly moving before deciding to just play cash games instead. I made about $200 in an hour or so. After that we decided to go back to my friends house and just play on stars. I deposited $217 earlier this week to play the nightly 100k and the 70k. I cashed in both of them including losing a 140,000 chip flip in the 100k with 23 people left. Bummer. That was Tuesday night. Wednesday I played the 250k and finished like 65th or so. Overall though my account is now sitting at $1215.63 so even though it is frustrating I am at least able to play a few more big tournies w/ the profit. I am not sure if I am playing too tight or doing something else wrong? I would really like a 5 figure score and have been so close many of times. I just cant seem to win a flip in the late stages of a tourney...I held AQSS vs 77 in two of those tournies for monster pots. I feel like my game is and never has been better, the luck factor just hasn't kicked in yet.
