Just put in like 3k hands and started off playing exceptionally well.. i was just having one of those days were u pick off every bluff, all ur bluffs work and u vbet well.. so i was $300 (6BI) up after about 1800 hands and i could feel my concentration dropping and was about to sit out.. However there were some really bad players and i thought i could just stick it out a bit longer..

In the end i stayed, got coolered 2-3 times and played pretty ordinarily to drop another 3BI so for the day i was $1 + rb up.. really disappointed in myself right now, gonna have a break for the rest of the day and maybe tomorrow and come back fresh. peace

2010 so far has been alot of fun.. Firstly, my gf and i stayed at her sisters house for a week while she is away, which was good, and really motivated me to move out of home (again) as well.. Then on Saturday night i had my friends 21st, which was alot of fun until we were heading to a club and the birthday boy started being a wanker and touching my other friends gf, who was trying to drive... In his defense, he was probably the most drunk i have ever seen anyone who was still conscious.. Still, kinda ruined the night so we dropped him into town and went home..

Then last night, after a 40degree celcius (104F) we went pool jumping in the local pool.. It was alot of fun, heaps of people had the same idea and at one stage there was about 30 of us there. somehow, someone had even got the waterslide going. Unfortunately, the cops came and everyone had to bail but it was good while it lasted.

Having fun things to do is all well and good, but it hasn't been leaving me much room for poker (or blogs).. i have probably played about 10 hours so far this year, and with rakeback, down about 4bi's.. A few coolers and some spewy plays by me.. Not too worried i just need to put in more volume. On that note, i'm off to the tables..

So my first session of the new year was just a lovely 8BI downswing over 1300 hands where i ran 6BI under EV and got set over set 150BB deep on top of that.. I actually felt like i was playing really well to start off and then i checked my PT3 about halfway thru the session and it was like $200 down (at 50NL) and i was like ok watever..

Anyway, nothing you can do about running bad so i just quit my session before i started to tilt and i will take it up again later.. Hope everyone had a good christmas and new year..

P.s.. My new years resolution was to Play more poker, get fitter and drink less.. GL to everyone in achieving thier own.

I was pretty slack over the weekend.. On friday i went x-mas shopping with my family and then went to a gaming store with my friends to play some Halo3 on xbl.. This was really quite fun and the connection there was 10x better than the one i have at home, which made the game so much funner..

On saturday i went out drinking/clubbing with some buddies and got pretty drunk, althouth nowhere near as bad as 2 of my friends, who were extremely messy. they had no idea what was going on so one of them ended up sleeping on my gf's couch, while the other one (allegedly,not sure that i believe it) was getting a bj in an alley from some girl he met in the club?

Sunday i had a really lazy day at my gf's, i kinda wanted to leave and come home for a session but she has been working alot lately and i haven't been spending too much time with her so i thought i should spend the day with her.. We went to her extended family christmas lunch (quite hungover), where most people were drinking so was a bit boring but the food was amazing so that was good. In the evening we got some takeaway food and sat in bed watching big bang theory.. lol

And today i had another big sleep in, then wasted another day loungin at her house, went back to play some more halo 3 with Dale and got home about 8p.m So it has been ~4 days since i have played any serious poker, and i am kinda annoyed at myself for procrastinating so much but i figure between January- March i should be able to put in a bunch of hands before Uni starts for the year.

lol.. sigh just finished for the day because i was getting kinda tilted.. Put in 3k hands for the day, started off running pretty average and just grinding with not many big pots. Was $200ish up at one stage (50nl), then got a few coolers and got caught bluffing a few times.. Then in the last 20 hands i ran 5bi below ev lol.. gg.. whatever, start again tomorro..

i think this one was pretty lol.. i don't really love my play but i really thought he had pretty much exactly what he had.. Apparently he CAN call with it, despite what i thought.

***edit.. btw.. i was playing full ring today.. WTF IS WITH THE AMMOUNT OF SHORT STACKERS LIKE CMON! RIDICULOUS, PUT ME ON LIFE TILT.. i had a good table going, looked back 10 mins later and i was sitting with a half stack and SEVEN 20bb'ers.. /rant ***

Ok so i just took my first shot at 50NL.. basically, i got the nuts flopped on me every hand for 1000 hands and lost 7BI in about an hour.. lmao.. On one hand, i feel kinda sick because i am now gonna have to drop back to 25NL and grind out like 14BI before i can take another shot..

On the other hand, from that 1k hands, i feel kinda optimistic becase the players were (pardon the language) ABSOLUTELY FUCKING HORRIBLE. My tables were FILLED with fish playing VPIP>50%, and most of them were passive..

In one hand i had AA on button, UTG limp, CO open to $2.25, i make it $9 and he flats me with 67s.. Unfortunately flop 89T but hey..

Another hand i had AKs and a laggy reg 4bet/got it in vs me with 88.
Another hand i 3bet AKss on the button and got called by A9o.. flop 9s 5s 2d and he got it on..(and held)

I really feel like 50NL is gonna be incredibly easy to beat up on, maybe i just had good tables, but the players i just encountered were ridiculously bad..

Anyway i guess i will take a small break and then go try to grind out a few BI back at 25NL to end the day..

I am pretty happy with how my week panned out pokerwise.. I think i could have maybe put in a few more hours but all in all i think i played pretty well.. For the majority of the time i was just 12-16 tabling, playing pretty taggy, around 19/15/3, 5% 3bet. Here is my graph for this week.

Tonight i have a party that i am supposed to be going to, but it's like an hour and a half drive to get there so i'm not sure if i will go. Then tomorrow night, My brother, sister and i have dinner with my half-sister for her 30th birthday, so i'm not sure if i will get much poker in the next few days.

I really wanna hit the tables hard next week and try to play ~25k hand.. I am rolled to move up to 50NL but i would like a little extra padding if i am going to be playing so many tables..

What's up guys? Recently i have become a little bit concerned about my overall diet and fitness.. When i was younger i was outside playing sport like 24/7 and was extremely fit.. However for the last few years i haven't played any competitive sport so i havn't been motivated to stay fit.. Also i tend to be out alot which results in alot of take out/ unhealthy food.

I am definately not overweight or anything, but i would definately like to tone my muscles alot more, especially as we are coming into summer in Australia and i would like to be a bit more comfortable with my body. My new aim is to run at least 3-4 times a week and do 3 weights sessions.I have a free one month gym membership that i will hopefully start using within the next week or so. Also going to try to eat more fruit/veg and cut back on fatty foods.

As far as poker is concerned, last 2 days i have been adding in alot of tables and just playing alot tighter. I am currently at 25NL and When i play 6 or less tables i think i play too loose (28/22ish) and often get fancy play syndrome just for want of something to happen. I have experimenting with 12-16 tables and just nitting it up playing like 19/15 with some pretty good success. I have won about 14BI over 4k hands.. While i know i can't maintain this winrate and i have been running good, i think this re-inforces that solid ABC poker is the optimal strat at 25NL..

My weekend went pretty well.. I had heaps of fun at my friend Tim's 21st, which was in the day.. Caught up with alot of people i hardly ever see.. Ended up gettin pretty wasted at a pub with them while i was waiting for Kirsty's 21st to start.. This one was supposed to be a Hollywood themed dress up party, so i rocked up smashed and dressed up only to find out only about 3/50 people had dressed up.. Haha i looked a bit out of place, but i was wasted and didn't care, so it was pretty funny..

the night ended up being really fun and i was having a good time until it got cut short cause the birthday girls 'man' kissed someone else in front of her, and we had to take her home.. what a dick.

Pokerwise,Today was really wierd.. in toltal i played 2.2k hands..
For the first ~1800 hands i was literally breakeven (+- 1BI) for like the whole time.. had KK v AA and Nut flush busted by FH etc and was just frustrating.. I took a break and came back a few hours later, loaded up some tables and won about 8BI in ~400 hands.. Was flopping well and coolered a few ppl and all of a sudden i have a 20ptbb/100 winrate for the day.. lovely

probably not going to play anymore today as my eyes are a bit sore and there are some t.v shows i wanna watch..

Last 2 days have just been horrible for me.. Yesterday i sat down and on my 3rd hand of the day got it in KK vs QQ against a lagtard.. Q on river pretty much set up my day.. Ran about 6-7 BI below EV over 2k hands of NLHE..

Decided to take a break and switch over to 25PLO for a bit. I ran ok , played pretty well and made back 5-6BI before getting sucked out on in a 500bb pot where we got it in on a K269 board with me holding AK96 and him holding KQ93.. Q on river obv. I decided that was enough for the day, about 4BI down but not unhappy with how i had played..
Definately got into some cool/awkward spots yesterday, which i have posted in the microstakes forums and gotten some solid advice on.. Won't post any on here for now because most of the hands were fairly standard.

Today was a bit of a different story.. I played PLO and deffinately didn't bring by A game, or my B game for that matter.. Didn't help that i ran terribly again and ended up dropping another 6BI over another 1k'ish hands.. I think i am going to stick to NLHE for a while, although i think PLO is more profitable, the swings are fairly brutal and at the moment i think i would prefer the lower variance route.

Probably going to have a break tomorrow as i have two 21st birthdays to attend and then maybe try put in a little seshion sunday.. One of the 21st's has a hollywood theme and i have no idea what i am going to wear..
