March results

Blog by : tek1337

March was the first month, where I've only played fullring. Sometimes I play good shorthanded tables, but I really wan't to keep the variance small, so I try to avoid aggressive SH tables. Also, as you can see at my stats, I'm playing much below NL1000. But thats mostly 15-20 tabling on stars. Thats a good method to make some additional money, when I'm too lazy, bored or drunk.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the results. Especially after my last month, where I was in hospital the whole time and couldn't make a cent.

Also I won a sick 700BB pot at NL600 fullring, that I want to show to you:

I'll have to study every day in April for some exams, but I'll also play poker with an aim of $20k, to move up to NL2000 in May. I think both could be done easily.

I suck at NL1000

Blog by : tek1337

Finally I won my first 10 stacks at NL1000, but I'm really upset with my game.. I feel that I've lost at least 5k+ by bad play. Sometimes my plays are really genius, and sometimes they let me punch my face. By playing SH and FR at the same time it's sometimes really hard for me to laydown a good hand, like an overpair, at FR. But I happily work on that.

The swings were pretty heavy. 4, 5, 5 and finally 7 stacks down in 19k hands. Couldn't really do anything against the 7 stack downswing, because I lost every setup by being a massive favorite.

Proof 1:

Proof 2:

But overall 10k for one week of work isn't that bad.. I'm sure the party today will be much more fun than about 2k5 hands ago.

Shortly after my last blog entry I had a bad car accident. I broke my arm, face and stuff (but nothing too serious) and was in hospital for some weeks. Sadly/Thank god I don't remember anything about the accident.. just woke up in hospital and thought: WTF?!? (note: no one else got hurt)

Check this out:

Always fasten your seat belts!

I've played some poker the last 2 days with normal success at Pokerstars (because its the best software for mouse only, mouse hand > keyboard hand)

Funny Hand:

I've bluffed this guy several times and because of this his K high must be good (quote BT: Maybe he had a read)

Ok writing with one hand sucks..

Tower Gaming Players Club

Blog by : tek1337

Obv I'm playing on Tower Gaming (Ongame skin) and they've recently added a "Players Club". Of course I'm havin the top status right from the beginning. But I'm really pissed off right now about the changes, because everything got worse and they say that everythings better...

____________________________________________

Hi Tower Support

This new Players Club thing looks pretty nice and well designed, but I can't see anything great in it, except the VIP manager. It seems way too easy to get to the VIP Players Club. I've played over 60k hands on NL400 and above last month (yeah, at this lousy software) and the only benefit I gain is that I get treated like a NL50 regular, while paying all your employees. My lovely $500 Bonus also needs 500 points more to clear. Well I understand that your bonus requirements and stuff get worse with time. But just don't treat me like a complete idiot..

Here are some examples (>:[):

- A greater selection of tickets and better bonuses in Tower's Point Shop.
LOOOOOL just 104,000 player points for a 1k+40 ticket :DDD (I bet 1k+40 that no one will ever buy this), and those "better bonuses" are actually worse.

- Increased Player's Club Reloads: You'll get to reap the rewards of the most competitive and lucrative bonuses we have to offer!
wtf where? clearing rate?

- Monthly Hand Challenge: Every month we'll split $5,000 amongst the top 30 players at Level Three or above who play the most monthly raked hands over 0.25/.50 limits.
there are many raked hands on NL1k :). Of course NL50 to NL200 guys will dominate here

- Daily Player Points Challenge: Beat the all time record for Player Points collected in one day and get $300. (You are eligible to win this once per calendar week).
so I only need a new all time record for lousy 300 bucks?
Wait a sec...

Ok whos my VIP manager? Please assign me to a woman, because women are more manipulable than men (this is me trying to be funny)
And blonde!

Thanks for your attention and have a relaxing weekend!

Andy aka I.am.Winning

I really hope (for Tower Gaming) that my new VIP manager looks like this:

Bad News

Blog by : tek1337

Well, I'm still in my pokerfree time. I've watched about 10-20 NL1k (cardrunners) videos and also some DVDs from Mystery and Style (Pick Up Artists). I've had a good time today with a really nice girl today (thx 2 dvds).. But somehow it wouldn't really work between us.. So I'm a little disappointed. Sucks, but I see it as a lesson for life, f*ck it.. Today, Saturday, I'll try it again, so wish me luck :). If the variance isn't on my side, then my next goal is to win about 30k on NL1k for the rest of the month. Tomorrow I'll be updatin this blog, so stay tuned...

My January

Blog by : tek1337
0

Please start this video from Rilo Kiley now.. A girl that really knows how things in life go..

January was really hard for me, because I really want to finish this $40k graph at NL400, and thats not easy with a maximum of 5 tables at Ongame (terrible lag if more). The first 2 weeks I didn't really play much, because I was drunk the most time :D No, thats not true.. Actually I was drunk and lazy the most time (hi mom :/ )..

So after the first half I was just up about $4k. But then i really went insane and wanted to finish this fkin graph. I'm still not finished right now.. but thats ok because after week 3 I set myself another goal that I thought would be possible.. $20k in one month... May seem much for some of you, may seem pretty few. However its a nice challenge to do this on NL400 4-5 tabling only.

I had to win about $5k5 in the last 4 days, what seemed possible to me. Well I've made it, but every day was like lifetilt.. watch this:

Day 1: -$2k after 1k hands.. hum.. ok.. After playing about 12 hours --> still not even. But I won some upswing money from 4 to 5am and finished the day up about $1k4.. I thought the downswing was over...... ......... NOT

Day 2: 1k hands... -$1k5.. 4am --> still not even. Well Ongame seems to turn off the fish protector from 4 to 5am and at 5 I was up about $1k6. Just 2k5 to go..

$1k6 Pot.. I got tears in my eyes when I saw the ace on the river, but I wasn't able to fold.. www.pokerhand.org/

Day 3: 1k hands... -$1k5.. yeah lol.. poker IS FUN...just another awful day of random fishluck began.. but I knew I just had to wait for 4am.. upswing from 4 to 5am --> 1k up.. 1k5 2go

Day 4: Last day of the month. My timelimit was 6am, because thats when my normal day ends. I had a $500 bonus running which would take about 10-12 hours of play. So I just had to win exactly $1k or more (with bonus). But what was that? After only an hour of play I was up about $1k2. Wow poker is really fun -------------------------------------------> NOOOOOOOOOT

QQ vs AK preflop all in... No ace or king on the flop SHIP SHIP SHIP... turn + river: K + K :((((((. "Please don't tilt now" --> random bluff, random bluff, random bluff --> -$1k5 :D. Yeah thats the end my friend I thought.. But then i've played really solid and the following pot gave me hope: www.pokerhand.org/

I am so fkin proud about this hand. It may look like I've won free money from a complete idiot (well ok.. I know, I know). But I really thought about what betsize I should bet on the river, that was most likely to induce a bluff.. Crash Boom Bang

So about 1am I was up about $1k45 (:) no i don't stop here.. its a matter of principle). Now the sickest shit that I ever saw happened to me...

Every of the following hands happened when I only had to win about 100 or less bucks more..

KK vs JJ.. preflop all in.. J on flop

AQ vs 77.. on QQ2 flop, turn 7

AK vs T3.. on KTTT board

AK vs AA.. on AKxxx board

and a combo draw that missed..

Then finally I received my $500 bonus.. at +$950 ^^.. so again $1k45..

AJ vs T9 preflop all in.. 678 flop.. Ongame = funny.. But then a complete maniac bluffed me 2 times in a row 3 barrels (even Ongame couldn't help him) and at 4am I finally made it.. 20023

Okay enough text.. bring teh pictures on!

btw I've completely ruined my 7ptbb winrate because of this "massgaming" 8(

Goals for February?

- Fitness center ~every day

- NL400 40k graph, after that: never ever play NL400 again

- No poker the first 1-2 weeks, instead I will be working hard to improve my game, because ABC poker sucks

- Don't lose $20k on NL1k

so gl & hf to all

Introduction

Blog by : tek1337
0

My name is Andy, 21 years old and I'm living in a small town next to Vienna, Austria.

Obviously English isn't my first language and I haven't written it for many years (since school), I think. But I don't want to be gay and write my blog entries in German on an English site.

I've started playing poker exactly 3 years ago. Mainly because of the well known poker pro "ElkY" who played Starcraft/Broodwar like i did. The first 2 years I wasted my time with fixed limit. I've started off with $5 at Stars and 1c/2c and made it up to 3/6 which I couldn't beat. After 2 years, including 2-3 long pokerbreaks where I really took in mind to stop playing poker, I was still under $10k alltime winnings. So I thought something had to change.

At first I tried SnGs. Actually i lost my Tourney Manager stats about that time, but I think it was close to this:

SnGs: FAIL!

Finally I came to NLHE, after watching all episodes of High Stakes Poker. Quickly I took the $10k mark and never really looked back. After playing with a small solid winrate for some months, I went through a 25 stack downswing with absolutely no chance to ever get back to even, because every little beat got me back to lifetilt. So again something had to change. Somehow I saw this free NL400 cardrunners video from Taylor aka Green Plastic and was fascinated from the first second on. After purchasing a 6 month membership I watched cardrunners videos for about 2 weeks, nearly 10 hours a day. From this point I crushed everything and everyone. Starting at NL50, it took me under a half year to get to NL1k, where I'm actually trying to get a significant samplesize. But my main goal atm is to finish my $40k graph at NL400 (about 4 stacks left).

So I want to use those lines to thank the whole Cardrunners crew for bringing me to a point in poker, that i always dreamed about. And I'm also sure that NL1k is not the end.

So keep up the good work!

Note: If someone really can't read my blog because of my awful English, please feel free to tell me. Currently I'm really trying to improve it, and I think a blog in English helps me alot.
