I haven't played any cards for a month now. This is a good thing as I found myself playing to play rather than wanting to. The break was pretty good and I focused on alot of things such as work and trying to close on this house already. What a nightmare it has been!

Sunday evening I started watching videos and continued to watch them today. I think that my plan is to watch as many as I can this week, and resume playing this weekend. Although I have done extrememly well playing 50nl hu, I am going to focus on 25nl and 25plo. My 25plo game is better than my 25nl game which is really depressing but kinda cool at the same time.

O well, haven't blogged in a while and wanted to put some thoughts down before the weekend gets here. c ya.

We (the gf and i) went out last night and closed down the joint. It was a pretty good time and saw some firends that I haven't seen in quite some while. It was kinda sad on the other hand as one of my closest friends for all my life is a pretty bad alchoholic. He gets to the point were I have cut most of the remaining relationship that we have off. Really sad, but o well. Everyone has to grow up eventually and he dosen't want to face the facts.

So we slept in pretty late this morning which felt awesome, but at the same time it feels as if I slept the day away. I loaded up some tables and played a quick session this morning. Of course 6max went horrible as I gave away 2 buyins. Thank God for 50nl hu! I don't know if my game is more suited for that style or what.

I downloaded the trial version of PT3 this morning also. I like what I have seen so far, the only problem is that it deleted my PLO hands when I forced the import. I haven't recovered the hands yet also. I played around 100hands at 25PLO and dropped a buyin there also. I feel like I am playing pretty solid and am putting my money in with the best hand, I just need to have bigger draws to combat the other players.

All in all I only lost 1 buy in this morning. I then proceeded to cut the grass because 6max had me so heated. I left poker alone the rest of the afternoon and grilled some chicken, hung with the gf, and am watching preseason football. Not a bad day once I think about it.

I have found a new drive to play poker lately. I think the almost one month break that I took payed dividends. It has even translated into my live play, where I aggro dominated our weekly home game on wed. It was unreal how much of a different game that I brought to the table and how poorly people were able to adjust. Funny!

I started off playing 50nl hu today and quickly won around a buy in in just 30something hands. I will post the short stack give away hand of the day in just a minute.

I switched to 25nl 6max. This is a part of my game that is rusty and I can never seem to straighten out. It is frustrating because I think that I have an edge. There is an obvious leak in my 6max game. I will go over some hand history tonight and watch some videos today or sunday.

On to 25plo cap. The games are beyond belief, and not winning three or four buyins broke my heart. I think that I played fairly well at plo today, althogh it was the first time I have played the game in over four months. I reviewed my PT stats and hand history, and definitely found a few hands where I put the money in with marginal or bad hands. It was obvious when reviewing and I think that some of the hands were just rust wearing off. All in all a pretty good session and I expect better play out of myself in the future!

So my cable got fixed this morning and I must say that the did a great job. I was actually suprised at the attentiveness that the tech showed throughout the job. So without any further waiting, once i got home I immediatly opened up FT and began to load tables. It is so much better playing on the new desktop than playing on the laptop.

During my break I forgot how much fun playing shortstackers can be at 50nl hu. I'm not sure if they are down to their last money and are more willing to gamble to make a quick double up, or the are not used to the aggression factor of hu. Anyways, barring the bad beats and the hit and runs, they usually seem to donate and then sit out. O well, money is money

My new computer came in and it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. However, it is such a tease as I had to wait 3 days to get the internet hooked up into the office at the house. With the new monitor I could see multitable bliss in the immediate future. This is where feel like my heart has been dug out of my chest with a dull spoon.

After the tech came and re-ran the wires, the internet worked for a total of 10 minutes after he left. needless to say I called Brighthouse and flipped out! This not the first time my connection has completely quit on me. the level of help that you recieve when calling the help line is unbeliveable. At first I was told that modems are as fragile as alarm clocks......WHAT?......supervisor now!

I am not the guy who complains about things at all. I am the guy who avoids the akward confrontation at the resturant over the food not being just right, but to tell me when it rains that the line goes out, unacceptable. Anyways, the cable company has to come and run a new line from the other street 300ft away. That will be done sometime between wed and fri. Unreal that the cable companies can give you that type of time frame. First they will have a tech at the house between 12 and 8.......then they will run a new line between wed and fri. I cannot think of another company where the service is so incredibly poor.

During that 10 minutes I was able to play my first poker in a few weeks. I loaded 4 tables of 25nl to get the rust off a little. The new computer does not have poker tracker as of yet, so I am not sure the win/loss numbers. If I had to guess, I would say that I was able to put in aroun 45-60 hands losing about 5 dollars. I had just raised AJs middle position when the internet went. O well, at least it didn't go on the river .

I had a entry written but somehow it got erased and I am very tilted about it!!!! Anyway, I have been playing golf every 1 out of 2 or 3 days for the past month and a half. Over that time I have been able to shave and average of 10-16 strokes off of my score. My goal by the end of the summer is to be consistently in the 80's. I don't have much more time to accomplish this as college football is right around the corner. Anyone wanting to make any bets on the gator games let me know.

Friday was my gf's sister's 18th birthday. We took her out to dinner at tony's sushi. That place is absolutely the best sushi in the area, bar none. She is not a big fish eater, however she eats at the grill like it is her last meal in civilization. The next morning we woke up and drove to tampa for the red bull flugtag. The place was unreal. There must have been at least 100k people there on land with hudreds of boats in the water. It was pretty cool event.

I put an offer in on a house at the end of may. The offer was accepted, but I have yet to close on the house. I have signed two extensions on the contract and have yet to close. It is so frustrating because everything on my end is ready to go. From what I am told, We are waiting on one person to sign the papers at the homeowners bank. If it weren't for the fact that I am buying the house for 80k less than the appraised value, I would have said #^*( it 30 days ago. I would think that the realtors would be really aggresive and want to press the sell, but everytime we call them they are cluless. Unreal because everyday I read about them saying how terrible the market is and they aren't making any money and can't support their families.......blah blah blah. Step up and work hard, a 200k deal just feel into your lap and you know nothing when I call, WAKE UP.

Sorry for the raptor rant, but it is really frustrating being strung along. One a lighter note I ordered a new computer friday. It should be here this week and I am really looking foward to getting it. Once I get it set up I will start playing poker again. After some of the rust falls off, I will be able to multitable alot easier with the dual 22" monitors.

I didn't play that much over the last part of the month, however ended up in the green for the month mostly do to 50nl hu. We did go get sushi one night in Ocala and went over to check out the new card room at Ocala Jai-Lia. The games were incredibly soft at the 2/2 tables and I was incerdibly disapointed that I didn't leave 600-800dollars richer. The dealers are all new so the games were incredibly slow. Since then I got sick and haven't had the energy to do anything. Hopefully I'll update soon about some hands online.

The bank accepted my offer on the house. I'm trying not to get too excited until I close, but my girl at the bank told me that they have already signed my offer and sent it back. The only thing that they asked of me was to push the closing back. We had hoped to close on 6/30 but they asked to have until the middle of July. That actually works out a little better for me because my gf will not get back from RI until 6/25.

I thought that with her being gone, I would be able to put more hands in on FT. With this reigns being let loose over the last week I have played exactly 0 hands, lol. My wallet, liver, and sleep deprived mind will be happy when she returns.

After closing I will post some pics of the new pad along with some of the pool. Perfect timing to get a pool, the middle of july in florida!

I dropped the gf off at the oralndo airport today. She is going to be gone for 16 days, kinda weird as this is the frst time that she has left inprobably 3 yrs. The place is going to be a batchelor pad for the next couple weeks. I just gotta be sure it's clean before she gets back.

I have been playing alot of 50nl hu lately. I think that I needed a break from 6max for a while and to challenge myself to learn a new aspect of the game. I also see alot of money being made in hu and it needs to be a fundemental part of my game if I want to progress. Anyways here is a graph from the last 300 or so hands.

I had a good day at the tables yesterday. I started off at 50nl hu and quickly stacked a guy for a buy in. I got very lucky however as AK>KK. O well, I guess I do hit my cards sometimes too. I actually ran well above expectation yesterday. It was alot of fun hitting my draws and building the big pots were they payed off when my hand hit. I forgot that I played a guy earlier in the day and won a small amount off of him after getting behind from the get go.

Next I found my friend stevemati on FT and decided to play an 18man 24+2 token tournie with him. The first hand of the tournie I am on the button and 6 limpers to me and I have QQ. I bump it up pretty good and everyone folds except for one dude who I guess thought I was full of it and pushed on me. I call he shows QJo and I double up first hand. Thank God though, because that is when my internet went to %&^*. I played a totalof like 10-15 hands due to being disconnected every 30 secs. One hand stands out as the cards were dealt and I saw my KK. Guy goes all in for 1800ish and I hit call only to see the screen disappear agin. AAAHHHHHHHH. I didn't get to play the hand. I eventually finished 6th for my money back plus a couple bucks, so at least I didn't lose my money.

I messed around with my modems and ran a scan on my laptop. Everything seemed to be working so I logged back in a couple hours later. I wanted to play a couple sngs for a change of pace, but only registered in one to see if everything was working ok. Played a $10 6man and took it down for $39.

Once again Stevemati was registered for a $10 45 man. I played with him and ended up getting 2nd for $112. It was a soft field and I got some cards in some key spots. The hand that killed me came in the end goeslike this. I had 40kish to 20kish. I had been raising every button to the point where the guy asked me to stop,lol. I made my standard raise with AQs and he pushed on me. I figured it was out of frustration so I called. AQ

Overall a very nice day for me. Looking to repeat it tonight. It might be hard because my gf flies to Rhode Island on tues for 16 days so she wants to spend some time together. I golfed while she worked today and shot around 100, I suck so bad. Gonna try to play before she gets home. C ya.
