6 max Bankroll Update

Blog by : susports35

Pokerstars Bankroll: $16,909
Full Tilt Bankroll:4,060

So i have had somewhat of a heater since coming off my extended break and then proceeding to dump about 4 or 5 grand. I have been attempting to learn 6 max and so far i feel like that is just going ok. I still make some dumb mistakes but also I am down quite heftily in ALL in EV as illustrated by my last two hands of today's session when i lost J10o>AA and 55>KK. But I can't complain too much because i'm learning a new game and definitely feel like if i get some emotional/tilt issues under control i will be a 3+ BB/100 winner at 1/2 on Stars.

On a side not I am about 8,000 VPPs away from Supernova, so the milestone bonus that comes with that will be a nice 4 buy in addition to my roll.

I probably won't update until next weekend because I am going to be extremely busy with a wide variety of stuff

As always thanks for reading

Update

Blog by : susports35

Bankroll:$16,850

So the plan to play 6 max was aborted as I apparently am terrible at 6 max, though my sample size is small and I am probably just running terribly. So things have been going fairly well heads up with me being a solid winner recently.

Update again soon

Extended Break Over

Blog by : susports35

Pokerstars:$10,000
FullTilt: $4,000

I'm back from an extended break from poker as I have been extremely busy with school and life in general, I am going to start trying to transitioning into the 6 max realm as I become really impatient with the availability of action in the heads up games.

I cashed out to reward myself and now am gonna grind again.

Will update again in 5 days or so.

Fairly Large Downswing/ Frustrations

Blog by : susports35

Pokerstars Bankroll: $16,155
Full TIlt Bankroll: $5,078

I told myself when i started this blog that no matter the ups and downs and wins and losses I would be completely honest in this blog and report exactly what has happened, well the last 3 days I have been getting absolutely crushed on Full Tilt, mainly to one player who played fairly poorly yet played a very difficult style to play against when not flopping hands. He was reraising around 45 percent of his hands and potting the flop and turn everytime, and it seemed like I either A) never flopped a hands and just simply couldnt continue or B) Flopped a hand and he had somehow massively coolered me. Throw in some unexcuseable(sp?) bits of tilt and you have a recipe for a 3K downswing.

So i am going to take a couple days off and gather my thoughts and watch some videos to try and get back in the groove of playing good solid poker something that I feel i have not been doing the last couple days for whatever reason, regardless of the fact that I am down around 2 grand in equity I simply should have and have no excuse for not playing better.

I am also going to just keep telling myself that I am up to $21,500 from a $50 starting point 4 1/2 months ago so things aren't all that bad.

I will blog again in 4-5 days and report on how things are going with my rebound.

As always thanks for reading.

Another MTT Near Miss/Cash Game Results

Blog by : susports35

Stars Bankroll:$16,776
FullTilt Bankroll: $7,941

So i finished 12/1500 in the 21,000 KO on Full Tilt, once again bad luck/ some questionable plays did me in. I am very proud of myself though as i was down to less than 10 BBs in three separate hours and battled very hard to make it that far.

On the heads up cash front I had another great day booking a +~1400 day, I was also really proud of myself for quitting in the middle of this winning session as I could tell I was getting very tired and was not playing my A game. I feel like this is one of the things that separates the breakeven players from the players that are crushing their stakes, and it is something that i didnt used to do as well as I should so that was a positive.

I also played some 7 game mixed hands and broke about even overall, i feel like these games are among the softest games running, as nobody knows how to play 5/7 games, so i will be putting some effort into these when i don't feel like playing heads up.
