I started this blog last week to monitor my bankroll building challenge and I made a big score (for low NL)to get my bankroll from the strating $300 to $3000. Today I took down the Pokerstars $11 Turbo 20K guaranteed for another 3K. I am playing very well and focused. One of the things that has helped my survive the big fields is trying to get a feel for the game within the game. I have noticed stages within the stages, especially once players are in the money. At times play is fast, sometimes slow. I adjusted my play accordingly. I have been reading Jackal's book on SNG and picked up a very helpful tip. He talks about not bluff raising too much in SNG, especially in turbos as the high blinds almost commit you to the hand. In the endgame of the turbo tournament, i waited for a cecent hand and tried not to rush myself. I never wanted to be put in a situation where I had to call with inferior cards and played my position well. I made a lot of all in calls against low stacks with crap cards, but was given the right price to call and I caught more often than not. A great day!
