This morning i suffered my biggest loss in my carreer. I've lost 6bis in just 1300 hands.
Honestly, I don't think I played that bad just things didn't went my way this time. I do made one clear clear mistake i remember but mainly my fired barrels and thin value bets got hammered by the river. Evaluated the situation ~90% of the time somewhat correctly but the river cards wich made me beat were sooo unlikely (example: 2KQr 7 3 with AK vs 23s) that I fired / bet happily again. Also I wasn't able to compensate the losers with my winners which is partly my fault. I tried to experiment occasionally with wild overbets against targets (possibly because I was down and wanted to get my money back quickly - but i'm not sure) but they didn't worked.
I think it's a great opportunity to start finally review the marked hands not just mark it and leave.

All in all nothing tragical happened, it's just a feedback to start work harder...

January started, and after 6k hands i'm down 1bi wich -considered the medicore play I make these days- is acceptable. Have to pull myself together and focus more because I make 1-2 medium-to-big errors in a session wich is more than I can afford. If the things starting to get better i'll take a shot again at NL50.

I think it's time for me to start to look for another site besides FT, I choosed Stars cause the gr8 first deposit bonus so i will deposit some money and will start to build a bankroll there to. I plan to start at the same level as I play here on FT. FT will be the primary site though, maintaining iron man status is top priority only if that is secured will shift to playing more hands on stars.

Altough I didn't succeed with the nl50 shot I wouldn't treat this year as a failure. I took a shot and it was a good experience than came back to reorganize myself and i did just that. It's an all green year, i know it's the ridiculous micro stakes but hey, i'm a micro player .

Looking back these were the highlights of the year in poker for me:

• realizing that i need help from someone and hiring a great coach
• NOLOOKSTREAKOMETER : eliminating the habbit of checking the results of the session while playing is just priceless
• taking a shot at nl50
• 3rd coaching session: feel for the first time in a poker conversation that I'm treated as a poker player
• realizing how much free money i can get just from playing more hands
• the improvements in november and in december regarding determination
• 29th of december when I earned my monthly payment in poker.

• buying a flat, our first
• getting to know that i'm going to be a father
• getting to know we will have a son

After the best month of my carreer I had pretty big expectations from December and the things just kept getting better.

I topped again my best by a very big margin. Played 10k hands and 24hours more than in november so thats brutal improvement in terms of amount of playing. Resultwise i've played with a winrate of 3.39 BB/100 over 31k+ hand wich it's pretty much OK i guess. With the rake, iron man bonuses (level Iron for the first time), the ITM place in the freeroll was good enough for earning with poker as much as I earn with my full time job in a whole month for the first time in my carreer.

I think it's a pretty big milestone and tapped my shoulder for 3 straight days for that but that's enough, i have to think about it as this will be the normal expectation for the future months.

last weekend i've played a ton of hands sadly i realized a small loss in total. On sunday i've decieded to participate in my rake sites 27k freeroll. Dind't take it too seriously watched Heroes during the tournament. Honestly i think i've played my worst tournament of my life. If i had a hand I pushed pre, and that was the strategy. It was enough for reaching the late phase finishing 28/1334 for an unexpected 93$ profit. I'm not too proud about it...seriously.

This week i will continue to grind, maybe shooting for iron level this month? who knows...

So i'm here with a short report / result of November.

Actually lot of things happened. I started the month with mixing mainly nl25 tables with 1-2 nl50 tables when i've find good ones to play. It went pretty good for two weeks but then something happened and i started to loose plenty of money and I decieded to drop the nl50 tables until I regain confidence. Note: actually my play was disorganized since I came back from nl50 but I won so I don't wanted to change anything till it's going well. So after things started to run bad I focused just on nl25 for the remaining days of the month. Sadly I wasn't able to locate the leak causing this problem myself so it was the right time for a coaching session...and what a session it was. Honestly it was the best 1-on-1 conversation I had in my whole poker carreer, discussed about interesting topics so it was well worth the money.
After SGB5000 pointed out the leak, I was able to fix it so I started to find my game again. End that's the result of it:

Honestly I suffered from this for many moths now and I know it can be really hard to motivate yourself when things really don't go well, you expect more from yourself than you should, watch the leaderbords and keep dreamin of a future when your name is at the top of this list. As vital[myth] stated in his epic video series there is two way to earn more money: 1. play better, 2. play more. The first solution is much harder to pull so what about the 2nd. What it really means "more".

What if I say that for 3-4 hours 6tabling on FT 25 days in a month will give me in 1838$* next year?
Future prognosis: 2011 : 2280$, 2012 : 2880$, 2013 : 3600$ (in 2013 you'll reach the top level so 2014 is 3600$ too). Without rake!
How does this compare to your BR micro player?

If You don't know WTF am i talking about go and read FTs Iron Man promotion and how it works (if you have questions i can answer too hopefully). I've spend hours of conversation with my friend about this and how should it compare to PS vip level thing. Honestly: i don't know, but if you are PS player and putting about the same amount i've described above what can you pull out from the PS vip level starting from the 1st of january with starting from the lowest possible bonus level.
I really don't want to advertise any site and if I already crossed the line just tell me and i'll erase this post. All I say you really should look after bonus opportunities at your site, than make some calculation and you will be surprised how much they give away for how big effort.

The numbers are for reaching iron status in a month AND chosing bonus medals instead freeroll entry. So the medals for 12 months are: 200+220+220+250+250+250+300+300+300+300+300+300=3190 medal. You can buy 600$ bonus from 3000 medal so -->(3190/3000)*600 = 638$

**If you want to feel good/better about your poker carreer you have to improve your play aswell!

here's a quick update. After almost ruining my best two weeks of my poker carreer with the last weekend i'm finally in better shape now. Having an even weekend is more than enough after that bad period.
Todays session was interesting. Run with my good hands into walls everytime and quickly was down 5bis and almost quit but don't felt bad, my play was organized and was able to maintain same level of play and finally ended up with a comeback to -1bi.
Tomorrow is the 3rd coaching session. After setting the fundamentals i hope we will shift the focus towards developing my thought process. Hope i will be a good student for that topic.

Before I explain the title wanna talk about how this month went so far. Until today, I can say nothing but amazing about november.
First of all I really putting the hands in and the results are(were) over my expectations. Last week i've made some calculations and made a prognosis about next years available known bounuses. I think the that result is worth one post because it's really a projects a great income and it could be great motivation aswell for other micro players who also strugle to put in the hours. It was a wonderful feeling to see that determination will be paid.

Today was my worst session of my whole carreer result wise. I've played nl25 - nl50 tables and lost 3 bis at the nl50 tables and ended up with -170$. It was a costly but great lesson. I've lost 2 bis against drunk maniacs with flopped top two pair, and flopped set aginst flopped flushes. Went ai on the flop in both hands. Against a maniac i'm not sure if this was an error, have to review these hands but i think these losses influenced my 3bi loss.
Shortly summarized. 3 way pot, i had overpair (KK) in a 3 bet pot. The flop was 9 high, Maniac opened i called (tryid to force more action in later streets) and solid player called. Turn came A, maniac shoved (w A5s), and I called (WHY?) and solid player called with a flopped set of nines. I should have dump it on a turn without problem having a good solid player acting behind me but after loosing 2bis i think i felt i'm not supposed to loose this one. I was wrong. Actually I think this was my worst play in a recent memory (at least the worst in this year) and really have no explanation for my play. Shame.

I plan to play in the 2nd half of the month just as much as i played in the first half, so lots of time to bounce back and continue to earn some money. I will bounce back i know.

just wanted to update the blog about the lately progresses. It's so funny, a week ago I wanted to post about how hard I strugle to find my A game and than BOOM, I've started to play real solid and everything went well (not just lucky or upswing). Today I've made again very stupid mistakes calling 4 stack OTR with over. -->player variance
Recognizing how to maintain A or near A game is absolutely essential.

Btw, i've looked back at the past 11 month and saw that the average play time in a month is only 29 hours (with a maximum of 41h) , average hands played 9400 hands / month (maximum 17500). This is a sad statistic I think, definetly shows the lack of determination.
Cause of this I've decieded to take november much more seriously and started playing to find my limits for playing the most hands I'm able to deliver besides my full time job. Nowdays i'm sleeping ~5hours/day just to be able to play 2 sessions a day.

So far i've mixed nl25 tables with 1 or max 2 nl50 table but only than if i found a very soft table and i'm in a good form. So far so good.

Watched many CR videos lately, now I try to find some help to to improve with the Jared Tendler - A game series
