Table Ninja Question

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

So, as I have decided to devote the next few months to the rush grind, I figured picking up table ninja would be a smart choice as it apparently makes life a whole lot easier. As I began to flip through the various tabs of bet sizing and such, I decided I better get a second opinion on set betting percentages pre-flop and on flop, turn, and river. Any pointers on scripting this handy software would be much appreciated. Until next time,

CHEERS

PLO RUSH

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

So, have not blogged in a long time due to laziness and the boring fact that I do not live a lifestyle that constantly provides baller stories of the rich and luxurious. In the last few months a lot has been going on, particularly making the life change that is moving out of your high school days into your new college setting. So, right now it is 7 A.M. after the first night and I'm awake due to a severe lack of comfort provided by freshman dorm beds. Luckily, yesterday (our move-in day) we did manage to construct a pretty solid beer pong table out of one desk and a sliding closet door laid vertically on top. (picture soon). Classes start Monday so to time for the freshman grind.

Now onto poker. For the most part my biggest flaw in poker is lack of volume. I've done solid, win rate wise, but only over 30k hands or so over the last 3 months. I've transitioned from NL to PLO because I believe the games are softer (could be horribly wrong). So now I'm grinding 10 PLO rush (BR Nit) and have been for about to weeks with decent success. I don't know to much on the matter (rush PLO that is) and was wondering if anyone on CR might want to chat a bit about some +ev ways to go about crushing this game. : ) If so, PM me and I'd be very appreciative. Until next time.

CHEERS,

Andrew

Over 7500 hands.

I believe I am playing fairly well and winning at 10.3bb/100 over very small sample. One massive leak that must be plugged is my non-showdown winnings. They are simply pitiful. I would very much appreciate any suggestions or tendencies/standard leaks I can look for so I can maximize my win rate and stop the non-showdown bleeding.

Been Awhile

So after self-imploding, my bankroll whithered away and a break was in order. I took said break and have gotten the interest in the game back which I'm excited about.

Not much has changed since my break. I got accepted into college for drama which is always nice. Senior ball is on the 22nd followed by graduation in June. Our senior camping trip, which isn't really camping as much as an outdoor party, is now in order. I'm totally stoked to kick back and get very drunk with all the friends I won't be seeing so much next year. I have yet to decide my summer plans. The only thing set in stone is that I will be grinding my small stakes ass off and try to get back to 50NL by October. I have been and hopefully will continue to watch and take notes on many of the solid SSNL videos. Sidenote: The "brain fail" series is incredibly interesting. I've put in a few thousand hands at the micros in the last few days with some positive results. Time to peel that rust back and get into the zone. I'm sad to see Cole is leaving the community but am glad to see everyone else is getting on swimmingly. Will update after I log 10,000 hands or so.

Who was that peculiar woman I'd seen?

The quaint lady dressed in green,

Her words were ones of grace,

And her lips painted various shades of gray,

Who was the woman that I'd seen?

The pretty lady dressed in green.

CHEERS,

Andrew

25 RUSH NL

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

Well, I am officially getting owned by lady luck at this game. In the last hour I've lost 3 BIs to 4,3,2 outters on the river and 2 were runnerrunner. I really can't help but getting mad because I'm shot taking at 25NL and "should" be winning. Sorry this is a whining post but I have to clear my head so I dont busto.

10 BI session. Thank You Rush

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

So, I finished watching Verneer and Vitheltone's video on rush due to Vith's sick 2+2 graph. It proved to be very enlightening. With the combo of Sixpeppers aggro strategy and V & V's solid words of wisdom, I've found a very nice medium. I think I have a solid rush game that has proved to be very, very profitable. Today I logged on and dropped 2 BIs due to set over set coolers but maintain calmness and put on some good music. I got to work and I got into a good mental flow of positive 3-bets, reads, and bluff catching. 9/10 river bets I called off light with a read he was bluffing, I was right which was awesome. I really put my mind into the game and didn't let the cards decide my fate every time. So after the - 2, I stormed back and crushed to game for 10 BIs in 2 hours. I was super satisfied with the session the whole way through. Question though, I've been on a trend of re-sitting at tables when I'm at 300bb. It just makes me think more when I'm deep and while in 100bb mode I can play easier rush poker. Any thoughts on this?

Just a few nice hands:

- Idk if I missed value or whatever but I mean wow. An example of the hands people go with, ha

http://www.thehandconverter.com/hands/496641
- Curious to see what anyone thinks about my fold on the end. I had a gut feeling about that one. Am I wrong?

http://www.thehandconverter.com/hands/496642
- A nice free bee. Not interesting, just nice.

http://www.thehandconverter.com/hands/496644
- Just a big pot. Plays itself. Nice to not sweat a river : )

http://www.thehandconverter.com/hands/496645
- Craziness, I guess he thought bottom pair was the nutters

http://www.thehandconverter.com/hands/496647
- Cooler in my favor.

http://www.thehandconverter.com/hands/496649
- Does anyone advocate his play? If so, why?

Well thats all I got, I will keep up the hard work and watch to see if any trends shift in these rush games. Until next time, CHEERS

2 Solid Sessions...

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

So, I've been playing what seems to be +ev rush poker games. I realized for myself 3 tabling is the perfect pace where I can focus, take notes, and not time out. Yesterday I booked a 90 minute, 1200 hand, +4 BI session and today I played a morning session where I started off super hot up 4 BIs but then some coolers ended up at even. Then I just finished a 1 hour, 900 hand, +5 BI session playing very straightforward and bluffing in very profitable spots. My only leak I've managed to notice is I'm raising post flop with flush draws too often and getting shipped on. I've been folding mostly and the one time I called I hit so that was nice. But other then that these games have been very soft. Six Peppers vid was a nice clarifying tool. Pretty much I saw that I was playing far too tight and needed to increase pfr in pos. and increase pf 3-bets. I've installed these into my game and it's proven to be very profitable. Well, I will be playing again tomorrow so I'll probably blog about it. Thanks for reading. Until next time, CHEERS

Rush Poker Is...

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

Just the things a person with a broken HM needs. Honestly I thought it was kind of a whacky idea when I first started hearing about this interesting spin on poker. So I played about 800 hands in an hour which is also nice for a person who struggles to put in volume. I picked up 3 BI during this time. I toyed around with my pre-flop strategy a bit in first 100 or so hands and I believe I'm catching onto a +ev system. Also, from what I witnessed, people at my tables were playing super nitty but I guess it only seems that way because you are technically folding pf more then you usually would. So as of rite now, I'm for this system as an Alternate means to play, not the best.

Never Been So Trashed...

Blog by : perf3ctgreen

So as the title foreshadows, yesterday ended with me being more intoxicated then ever before. I can usually put away 10 drinks and keep my dinner down but yesterday I had a few more and didnt drink any water, recipe for disaster. I was at the point where I was seeing doubles of everything and couldn't rub my eyes to make it go away. At that moment I knew I was at the point of no return. Long story short, I threw up a lot and was pretty damn hung over in the morning. Ironically we watched the Hang Over this morning. So I spent today recovering and watching football and iRock's new video. I picked up a few BIs yesterday on FT thanks to the worst PLO player I've seen in a while. Well, I think I'm going to log some hands before I go to bed. I will prob. post about it tomorrow. Until next time, CHEERS
