So the other day I played a real gay session. Was up ~$1400 at one point and finished down ~$1k. No biggie, but it was pretty gay considering it was basically a 6BI downer at 400nl. I was playing 4 tables of 400nl and 2 tables of 600nl. Today I used some points to buy into a few tournies on UB and was reminded just how gay tournaments can be sometimes. Luckily, after I busted all the tables I opened up 3 400nl and 1 600nl table and finished up ~$1300. I am up about $300 on the month now. Hopefully can log a lot more hands and keep things going in the right direction.

Just got my free camera from PS. I don't play on PS anymore but i had a bunch of points leftover after getting my Xbox from there so I got a camera. I had to email them to upgrade me to SilverStar and they did it almost instantly. I took a few pictures of my new apartment, so here we go:

Ok its been awhile but I'm pleased to inform you that I am in fact alive. Actually I'm lucky I'm not in jail right now. I got yet another fucking ticket the other night. It was the first weekend after we moved into our new apartment and it was my buddies bday so obviously we had to throw down. Got a keg and mixed up some pj for the ladies and had a pretty badass party. Later on that night there was about 10-12 people left at like 3:30 in the morning just hangin out still drinking when a cop rolls over. One of my dumbass friends let the cop in and he came straight to my room because everyone decided to run in there when they saw him. I ended up getting a "hosting a nuisance party" ticket which I thought was just a fine but turns out to be a fuckin misdemeanor. So now I have a pending underage drinking ticket, fake id ticket, and hosting a nuisance party ticket. FML!

August was a crazy month. I really did not get to play that much at all due to being homeless for a few weeks, moving into the the apt, school starting up, going on benders, etc. I think I managed to play about 4-5k hands (lowest month ever I believe) but still won ~4.5k and with rakeback I almost reached my goal of 5k for the month. I definitely plan on playing more in September giving I'm all moved in and school is going well. I've already played 2.5k hands in Sept and LOL at the swongs. I'm up 3 BI's at 400nl and down 3 Bi's at 200nl. I have been game selecting 400nl very well lately (hence my nearly 1\\$/hand August) and my game has been ok lately. I haven't watched many videos in awhile so I'm going to get back on top of that so I can really sharpen my game.

Ok so here's to blogging A LOT more and getting back into poker mode.

Where to start? I guess I'll start back Wednesday evening. A few days prior some friends and I were a little intoxicated and decided to buy SnoopDogg/311 tickets as the amphitheatre is only 4 miles from here. So were all pumped up and ready to go Wednesday afternoon. We all slug a few beers and a few shots. Were not wasted or anything but were not sober either. There is 4 of us going and one of my friends GFs drops us off when we hit traffic near parking. We have a few beers with us to drink on the way in (oh yea, we all have fake IDs). When we get to the parking lot we look for portajohns but can't find any so we venture into the wooded area close by to relieve ourselves. Were regrouping outside the woods when we get bumrushed by three ALE (Alcohol Law Enforcement) officers asking for IDs. They go for the one guy carrying all the beer first and I casually start walking away but one spots me. In the end all 4 of us got underage drinking tickets and 3 of us got fake ID tickets. WEAK. This obviously is an instant buzz kill as we're getting our tickets. The officers claimed the only reason they nabbed us is because they thought we were smoking weed in the woods which obv wasn't the case. You could literally smell bud as the guy was writing the ticket and he stated "mmm, thats some good shit." We were all like damnit go get them instead of us. Oh well. He told me I'm pretty much guaranteed to get the charges (2 misdemeanors) dropped if I get a lawyer. It's just a hassle and extra money I gotta spend.

As of right now I'm sleeping in a blowup mattress in my room. I have to be completely moved out by the 31st (thursday) but the only time my parents could come get most of my stuff was Sunday. So I have my mattress and one monitor and some food. I feel semihomeless. Today was my last day of classes which is a relief. I only have one actual exam Thursday and a take home exam due Monday. Neither should be too difficult. I also applied for a job today. YIKES! No poker is going fine and I met my goal this month, I just need a little resume booster and experience. For some reason I kind of want to be a teacher/professor in the future so I applied to be a tutor for the college athletes. If anything else I'll be able to meet a) some hot chicks that play sports or b) some basketball/football players that might hook their tutor up with some nasty seats. I also think I'm going to be a TA for my Computer Science professor. She's a pretty cool woman and asked me if I'd like to. I've had her for 2 classes now and it wouldn't be that bad, other than having to get up a little bit earlier on T/Th next semester.

As far as poker goes, I really haven't put the volume I would have liked in this month except for the past 3 or 4 days. Yesterday I played a marathon HU session against this wild and crazy guy. He plays 43/42 with a 3bet% of 41. I would simply minraise or psraise every button and be forced to call his 3bet. He was fairly easy to play against though because he autopotted every flop then shut down UI. He sucked out in a few big pots early on and I was stuck like 1.5k to him ( we were 4 tablnig 200NLHU). We ended up playing for about 8 Hours yesterday with only 2 5 minute breaks. Time flew by really and before I knew it it was 3am. In all we played 7.6k Hands and I won ~2.2k off of him which was nice. We played for awhile when THIS hand happened which was LOL. He insta quit the other table he was at with me and that was that. Fortunately today I saw him sitting at a 2/4HU and 1/2HU so I played him again. Today I won ~1k off of him. In all in the past 24 Hours I have played 8.3ish K hands against him and have won 3.2k off of him. SHIP IT HOLLA. I have met my goal this month (my goal is to make 5k/month and 60k/yr) so thats always nice. Might log another session before the month is over so not gonna post any final tallies.

Matt Probability and I have our little prop bet going (not sure if I've blogged about it yet). But pretty much I have to play 10k hands/wk and for every 500 or 1000 that I'm under I give him 75$. Fortunately I have already reached my goal for this week (Fri-Thurs).

I played a ton today and logged a little over 1900 hands at 200NL and won 2.5BIs ($500). I then took a break and went and played some frisbee golf (played well, shot +3 on 18 with a double and a bogey). Came back to wait for a few friends to come over and pregame and loaded 4 tables of 400NL. 142 hands later, I'm down $160 on the day. So Thursday night my brother got into town and we decided to go out with a bunch of friends. We decided on a club I've never been to but is apparently decently straight. We pregamed before hand so we wouldn't spend as much at the bar then headed out. We ended up getting the gayest fuckin taxi driver ever and charged us 4$/person to go like 4 miles. Being a little drunk and beligerent i berated the fuck out of him and if there wasn't a cop close by when we got out I definitely would have stiffed him. Thats not my style or anything but he deserved it. Fucking asshole. Once we got there we were the only ones in line so me and my bro didn't want to use our fakes. We look exactly alike and he has an altered ID while mine is someone from Floridas, so itd be obvious if we did try n get in. So we went in under figuring we'd get drinks from our friends and be straight. Well once we got inside it was pretty lame and there was about 18 bouncers posted up everywhere so there was no sneaking drinks. Me and my bro said fuck this and just left, planning on going to the first bar we came to. We ended up finding this sketchy as bar called Dive Bar with all of 2 people in it. We walked in, sat at the bar, and acted like we owned the place. The bartender could obviously tell our IDs were fake, but didn't say anything because we were the only ones there haha. Spent entirely too much money there.

The next day, we drank at the pool all day then people start showing up for my party. I planned on having it BYOB but my friends talked me into getting a keg. So a friend of ours that is 21 went and got it filled for us and I'm pretty sure everyone had fun (I would too for free; I didn't make anyone pay as it was only $80). I had a bunch of friends from my home town and a bunch from around here. I'd say there was like 50 people in my apartment (not that big) at the climax and 75-100 in and out all night, which isn't bad. Overall things went well: No cops, nothing stolen, nothing broken, no holes, keg floated, lots of girls, mad fun. Only a few beats: lots of food was eaten, think my roomates hate me considering I didn't tell them about it haha (but im moving out in 2 weeks and theyre random anyways), kitchen was disgusting, mad trash. Last night we kinda just took it easy and drank a little. Today I decided to play some poker. I played 2 sessions, one solid, one not so much. The first one was me playing 6 tables of 1/2. I was down like 4 BIs early but managed to come back and win ~2BIs. The second session was me playing 2 tables of 1/2 HU. I was doing ok, about break even until this hand:

I'm still doing well for the month and I hope me and Probability can get out bet going soon. I haven't logged the hands I need to in the past week due to some school stuff and partying and internet problems. This week I plan on logging a ton. My goal is to make $5k/month ($60k/yr holla) every month and after last months setback I'm still on pace. Hopefully I can finish this month strong.

Oh yea, saw The Dark Knight Tonight. A+. BADASS movie and would definitely recommend it.

So it's been awhile since I blogged. Most of this comes from my lack of internet at my apartment. My connection is all fked up and goes in and out all the time (majority of the time its out). Due to this, when I do have internet I focus on playing moreso than blogging. So because it's been awhile I'm gonna summarize with a bunch of bullets:

• So I ended up breaking even in live poker in NY. I was down a little over a K going into the last day when Jaymes and I pulled a marathon session and I got back to even. Didn't even play any memorable hands that were big. My best hand of the day was when I called a 2x pot bet on the river with 3rd pair and won.
• Hoboken/NYC was the shit. Mark is an awesome dude and it was fun just hanging out, talking poker, drinking, etc. We went to a show called FuerzaBruta which was fuckin awesome. I'd never been to anything like it and it was just a sick experience altogether. The last night we went out with Mark's roomate to a rooftop bar overlooking the city which was tight for a semi-country boy. I only got carded once in NY and we drank a decent amount. Luckily I have a fake that says I'm 24.
• After I got back on the 3rd, I went straight to Wilmington for the 4th. We woke up at 630am, got a taxi to the ocean at 8am, from there got picked up by a water taxi and taken to an island. We started drinking around 830am and didn't quit until around 7. Needless to say it was a shitshow, but after that we proceeded to go out that night.
• After the 4th, it was back to reality. Right before I left if you remember, my car broke down. I went home in search of a new one and luckily my parents had found a really good deal on a Honda. It was only $13,000 with only 33k miles on it, which is a steal for the price Hondas are going for these days. Here is a stock photo, mine is the same exact style and color: 2004 Honda Civic LX. It's 5 speed and get 32/38MPG which is a lot better than my old BMW. I'm pleased with my purchase. I paid $6k straight up and got a $8k loan which I plan on paying off in <6 months.
• I have been playing poker sporadically lately, mainly due to my internet problems. In fact the other night I was so ready to play I went to the only spot on campus that was open with internet 24hrs, a fucking dorm lobby haha. June was my first losing month EVER. This is kind of depressing yet promising at the same time. Luckily I had my best month ever in May so it didn't hurt too bad, but it still sucks losing.
• July is off to a promising start. The other night (in the dorm lobby) I dropped 3 BIs at 2/4 which was gay, but oh well. I cashed out a BUNCH of my roll due to the recent UB scandals and speculations that funds might get frozen. I still have plenty to play 1/2 and 2/4 but ill probably be playing more 1/2 than 2/4.
• I just finished a session of HU. I've been playing more and more HU when the 6 max games are blah. It's a nice change of pace and I've been doing well. I was playing this guy at 1/2 and running well. I finally sucked out QQ>KK aipf when he got pissed off and said he wouldn't play me anymore. He told me to come to his 5/10 table so I did and took a BI off him there. Holla
• I'm having a party at my apartment tomorrow. My brother was coming into town (on his way right now actually) so I decided to invite a bunch of friends from home and around here over tomorrow. We're gonna hit the pool all day then party here. Should be loads of fun, just hope the cops don't show up. I'll try and get some pictures if I can

New York so far has been the shit. It has been quite an adventure though. I guess I will start from the beginning, but I'm warning you, this could get long. So my plane from Raleigh to Laguardia left at 6:00am on Friday morning. Obviously I just stayed up all night and left at like 4:30 for the airport. While I was hanging out waiting to leave, I get a call at around 4 from US Air saying my flight from Laguardia to Syracuse will be delayed 100 minutes. Great. I got to the airport, caught the shuttle from the extended parking, and waited around for a few minutes and we were off. It was pretty cool to see the sun rise from 30,000 feet in the air. We touched down in Laguardia about an hour later. Laguardia is one of the shittiest airports I've ever been to, but I haven't been to that many. It's just old and kind of run down imo. It was only about 7:30 and my plane was supposed to leave at 8:30 originally but now was scheduled to leave at 10:10. I wander around for a little bit before getting some Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. I post up at a table and attempt to watch Seabeast's new vid on LP. I fell asleep for about 5 minutes in the middle, but still a very good vid. After this I did some more wandering, sitting, observing, etc. I finally sat in a seat facing the runway and fell asleep for about 45 mins. I woke up at 10 all ready to go but noooo. We didn't even board our plane until 11. Oh yea the plane. It was a shitty old ass like 20 person plane. The damn thing had 2 props. I don't think I've ever ridden in a commercial plane with props. We get on and the pilots like "by the way, the lavatory is not working so could you please relieve yourself before we take off." Sweet. We sit in this old, hot plane for like an hour before we finally take off at noon. I slept for most of the flight and we arrived in Syracuse around 1.

Jaymes (JaymesBond) picked me up at the airport. From here we went straight to TurningStone Resort, but not to play poker yet. Jaymes and a few of his friends worked at the course last summer so they knew everyone there and managed to get 4 of us on one of the courses for free. Ship it. It was probably one of the nicest courses I have ever played as well. Traveling kind of light, I did not have any golf supplies. I played with Jaymes' dads clubs and wore boat shoes (which lead to me slipping a few times). I played ok considering the clubs I was using and the difficulty of the course. The back side I played much better than the front. I ended up making 2 birdies and playing a decent 8 holes until the 18th lol. After golf, we changed clothes and headed to the casino.

The $350 qualifier started at 8pm and Jamyes and I both registered. The event was kind of a joke with 6k starting stacks, 25/50 blinds, and 20 minute levels. I didn't really even play a hand until it was push fold. 98 people started so 19 won a $1600 seat and 20th made $660. At my first table I'm not even sure if I played a hand, definitely nothing significant. There was this decent looking kid wearing headphones to my right that I reshipped against a few times. He started getting pissed and saying "Everytime I raise man, everytime. If you just raise I call, but you gotta push huh?" I thought it was pretty funny. My next table was a complete joke. 3 or 4 people would limp, I'd shove with little to no FE and everyone would fold. I would literally more than double up without seeing a flop. I did this for awhile, hanging right around 9-13BBs and picking my spots well. Eventually Jaymes gets moved to my table and has about 11BBs as well. There are 28 people left and he shoves in EP. Unfortunartely, I look down at AA and have to reship. I felt pretty bad but what can you do? At this point I have about 25BBs and I'm in great shape. I steal some pots here and there and eventually win a seat. At this point it was pretty late and I hadn't slept for a good 36 hours so Jaymes, his friend and I head back to Jaymes' place, about 30 mins away. I pass out as soon as I hit the bed.

The $1600 ME started at 10am. I woke up around 9, showered, and we left at around 9:30. We made it as soon as they were starting this cheesy ass video welcoming everyone to the mainevent. The structure overall wasn't bad, with 10k stacks, 25/50 blinds and 1 hour levels. My table draw wasn't bad overall. There were a few jokers and a few decent players. This one lady at my table was such a fucking joke. She had silver leopard print on every piece of clothing she had on. Her shirt, pants, glasses, and cane (yes her fucking cane) was al covered in this print. Needless to say, she was a joke. I didn't play any significant pots early on. At 50/100 I have close to my 10k stack when a dude raised to 300, button calls, I call from bb w/55. 985 flop checks around. Can't remember turn and river but I value bet both and calls and mucks. Dwindle down a little bit when I get KK. Old lady limps, I make it 425 she flats. The flop is kind of meh JT7 all diamonds, but I have the K of diamonds. She leads for 1/2 pot. I really wanted to raise, but I didn't want to raise and commit myself. I guess this is kind of weak, but oh well. The turn is a blank and she fires 1/2 pot again. I just flat again. River is another blank, she check calls my bet with QdJx. She said she would have stacked off if a diamond hit, so thats kind of unfortunate. I didn't play any more big hands for awhile. Then Pete "TheBeat" Giordianno (sp?) got moved to my right. He was a pretty funny guy but played pretty tight while I was there. I finally pick up QQ utg and make it 450 at 75/150. Tightish dude in mp makes if 1400. This is kind of a meh spot, but I just flat. Flop rolls off A43. I check and he bets 2k. I put this dudes range on TT+, AQs+. I ended up c/ring to 5k and he instashipped his stack before I even had the chip in the pot lol. I fold and have like 5k. Antes kick in and I dwindle to 4k at 100/200 25 ante. I get AQs in mp and open to 600. Donkey that just moved to the table flats on the button. The BB was playing this weird style with a lot of small raises and reraises. He asks me how much I have left and raises to 2k. I felt like I might have some FE and this was a decent spot for him to squeeze. I guess looking back it's not really a great spot for me toshove but oh well. I shove he ships QQ. KTx flop gives me some hope, but I brick out. GG me. It was pretty fun playing in such a big (for me) buyin tourney. I can definitely see why these tournies are profitable with the amount of donks. 250 people started, first pays 100k. The final table is today so we're gonna go watch the later on probably.

After I busted the ME, I went down to the poker room and got my name on the 5/5 500max and 2/5 300 max waiting lists. They opened a new table and made it 2/5 so I just sat in that. My table was nice and donkey filled except for this one young Canadian girl named Kristen. She was pretty cool (and hot) and played well. I ended up playing the table for about 12 hours, so I'm sure I'll miss some hands. The first significant hand I played I limped Q7hh otb behind 4 or 5 others. The SB makes it 15 and ofcourse the entire table calls, as do I. Flop is KK5hh. He leads for like $20 and a bunch of people call including me. Turn is an Ah, giving me the nut flush but it kind of worries me. Everyone checks to me and I bet like $75, obviously commiting myself (i'm never folding a flush here anyways, even if I'm not commited because we're only 60BBs deep at the time). The pfr pushes, I snap. Flopped Quads>NF. There's 300 gone, so I reload another 300. I play my standard live style, limping behind with any 2 sooooted cards, raising in LP with broadway cards, etc. To be honest I forget a lot of the hands but the biggest one of the night was pretty funny. Middleaged dude limps like he had been doing a lot, crazy Indian guy (and by crazy I mean crazy) makes it $20, I flat A3s oop, middle aged dude calls as well. Flop is Q24. I check, MA dude checks, CI bets 30. All 3 of us had over 100BBs at the time and were kind of deep (lol not really, but for the game it was deep) so I flat with a gutty, over, and bdfd. MA dude calls as well. Turn is a perfect 5. I c, MA dude checks, CI fires $100. I raise to $200. MA man thinks for awhile then just flats? WTF does he have? CI thinks for awhile and (VERY surprisingly) folds. Unfortunately the river is an Ace and I shove the last like $200 in the pot and the MA guy curses me about my lucky river catch and folds KK face up. ;lsajg;lajfk. He said he would have called any other river. He then goes on and on and on about how bad of a play my call was and how I was only an 8% favorite to win. I said "sir, I guarantee I had a higher chance of winning the hand." He argued, "the hell you did. You had 4 outs son." "4 outs huh? I'm pretty sure 4 5's, 3 Aces, and a backdoor flush draw is more than 4 outs." "He thought that fact that I thought about the BDFD was the funniest thing he'd ever heard. I just shook my head and laughed as it was quite comical.

Later on an old guidoish dude sits down and raises to $15 (obv way to small). Table calls, I flat 83s from BB. Perfect little 885 flop. I c/c the flop. turn x, I c/r small leaving myself less than psb behind. River x, I shove, he tanks and calls. I flip 83 and the table is like WTF!?!?!? Ship it. I'm now sitting on about $800 which is probably a little above table average. Ok it's been a few days since I started typing this so some of the hands are a little vague. Eventually ActionJeff Garza and a few of his online buddies sit down. It was pretty cool to sit with these kids that are basically millionaires. So one hand I limp A7cc and it folds to Garza in the sb who completes. Now the dealer is this bitch who is loud and annoying. Flop is A34ss. Garza leads for like 25$. I have a stack of chips in my hand just shuffling them and set them on the table past my cards to peak at them, but the dealer is like "Im sorry honey I have to consider this a raise." I was like uhhh what the fuck? Are you kidding me? The entire table was like no its cool we know he wasn't actually raising. Its not like my chips were even passed the little circle thing either. The cunt makes the chips stay in the pot, garza pushes, I lose like $60 for no reason. This puts me on semi tilt so I get up and leave for awhile. Then I come back and look down at 22. Garza limps, one of his friends (who chopped a tourney the day before for 14k) raises to 20 so I call and garza calls. Perfect little 234dd flop, I c/r, he pushes I call. He flips 68dd and it's basically a flip (haven't run the numbers but Im sure its close). Turn Td, river bricks, I lose about $400ish. So now I'm sitting on a $300 stack when this retarted Indian dude limps, I raised AQss, he pushes all in. I mean 60BBs deep and the fact that he's limped reraised all in probably 12 times since I've been sitting at the table really makes me want to call, so I do and lose to his AK.

I ended up losing about $700 in the cash games and $350 for the Tourney, so not off to a great start. I'm actually At Mark (Malfaire's) place in Hoboken (right next to NY City) and will update the 2nd day of cash games later on.

Today was like so many in the past few days: frustrating. I feel like I'm playing great poker and the results just aren't there. I'll slowly build up some stacks then just run into the gayest spots. Tonight I was up 2.5-3 BIs then lost AKTHIS didn't help either. a;dfjsa;ksdf. Despite all the gay suckouts, coolers, etc, still only lost like a BI on the day. But I did reach ICON status on UB which will allow me to get UB Points quicker which is cool.

Life Beat: My car is pretty much donezo. I went over a speed bump and broke the front left strut. Unfortunately I had to drive 120 miles home on it. In doing so, I destroyed the mount and housing. The fix is ~$1200 which just isn't worth it. my car is a 1990 BMW with 229k miles on it thats probably only worth ~$2K if that, so it's pretty pointless to fix at this point. I always said I was gonna drive it into the ground then buy another, so I guess its that time. I'm gonna drive my moms car (most of the time it will be in extended parking at the airport) until I get back from NY then I will start car hunting. I'm probably gonna get a decent Honda with gas prices these days. I'll probably have to drop 5-$8K, but hopefully it will last me awhile.

So I finally managed to get FusionWare for my laptop so I can play UB. I installed UB and HM and logged some hands over the weekend. Saturday was the shit. I was playing some 1/2 when I saw a soft 2/4 table so I opened it up. There was a guy that was literally pot/pot/pot/potting every single hand, losing a stack, and rebuying full. He probably dumped about 4k at the table. I won 1k off of him which was sweet. When he left the stacks were 1500(me), 3k, 1.2k, 80 (fuckin Patishh diagf), and 1.6k. It was funny, as soon as he left, the entire table broke. I played a bunch tonight and dropped like $120 over 1700ish hands. Lost some pretty gay pots, I won't bore you. I'm starting to make a comeback and can hopefully do some more damage in the next couple of days before I head to NY.

So I've been on a little poker hiatus which I think I needed for sure. Last Thursday night I headed down to Wilmington to chill with my bro(s) for the weekend. We went downtown Thursday which was an adventure to say the least. Friday we made a liquor keg which was pretty badass and went down pretty quick. Saturday we went to a sketchy party but it was still fun. Sunday we chilled and watched Tiger Woods all day. We get really into sports when were watching it and we definitely got into watching the US Open. I drove back to Raleigh after it was finished (beat: missed the Boston/LA game).

I am officially going to NY though. I will be flying out at 6am on Friday the 27th and heading up to Syracuse. I will chill there for a few days with poker friend JaymesBond (LeggoPoker Blog). He lives close to Turning Stone and there is a Heartland Poker Tour event going down while I'm there. We're gonna go try and rape some live donks even though it will probably be a bunch of underage online kids (like us) haha. Should be fun though. I'm talking to him now and looks like we might go play golf one day too which I'm stoked about.

Then I will either be taking a bus or train (yea I know, wtf?) from Syracuse to Newark. A plane ticket from Syracuse to Newark costs more than my flight to Syracuse and my flight home from Newark combined, which makes ZERO since. I will meet malfaire (Mark) in Newark and chill there until July 3rd when I'll fly out. If all goes well, I hope to be back in time for the Dave Mathews concert in Raleigh on the 3rd. I'm pretty pumped about my mini vacation. Now I just gotta start winning again to cover all these travel expenses!
