Still alive atleast

Sorry about yesterdays "not so very constructiev post". I made it just after I quit the tables, took me like an hour to chill down but then I felt fine again. Slept good the whole night aswell ;)

Was ofc back on the tables today again. After two minutes I got it in with QQ vs AK and lost my first bi. Also managed to lose AK vs A7, KK vs JJ, 99 vs KJ on a T high flop and some other random stuff. Won't bother with HHs since it was pretty standard stuff. Two pair vs mr. fishys set and so on. -$300 for the day.

For the first time in a long while I'm down to 25 BIs in my roll, sucks a bit. Will keep on fighing tho, I'm sure I can beat this limit, just give me the time. Goal is still to be a reg at NL200 before end of the year.

Will try to put in atleast 6h of grind tomorrow. Expect an update.

Turning the tide

Todays first session was SICK. Once again I'm really happy with my play, except for one hand where I bluffed away a buyin but other than that... good. After ~1.5k hands I'm up $340 !

Solid stats aswell, except for my AF that was only 2.6, but the tables I was playing were so agressive that I rarely had to do any betting at all. Below is the graph for the session, really swingy as usual. I can't say I ran bad today, but there were some spots where I wish I had lady luck on my side.

#1 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910388">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910388">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910388
I haven't been one-outed in quite a while. I guess it was about time.

#2 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910150">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910150">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910150
Quite an agressive FI, felt like a very good board to cb against my range of hands so I decided to go for a float. Then once the turn hits I just wanted to get money in, figured he would keep bluffing into me so I just called. The river.. well... I could have gotten away from the hand maybe if it weren't for that damn one ace.

#3 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910395">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910395">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910395
Flushdraws are pretty much my nemesis #1 atm.

#4 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910399">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910399">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910399
I hate flushes :(

#5 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910402">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910402">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910402
Biggest hand won this YEAR!!!

#6 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910403">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910403">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910403
I get some revenge for that one-outer I suffered.

#7 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910408">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910408">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910408
Expert play obviously.

#8 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910411">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910411">http://www.pokerhand.org/?2910411
This is pretty much the sickest hand I have won this year

Hopefully I get to play more later on, this day seems to be going my way!

UPDATE!
Played some more.. was up to +$520, but ended at $330... $350 under EV for the day. Look at this goddamned hand:

+$150 over 1.4k hands and 3 hours. This is the first session for the day and it was a terrible one.

Swings and swongs. I played really good poker today aswell, only one hand I think I played really really bad. I'll go trough some of the hands:

#1 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2905651
Sick sick sick. I had been battling with FI just two hands ago, where I 3bet him, he flattet and c/f the flop. What can you do?

#2 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2905635
FI was a huge passive fish, so I gave him lots of respect when he donked out. However I can never see myself folding TPTK to those kinds of small bets.

#3 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2905626
80% to win on the flop, but ofc he spikes his 4-outer. I was ready to fold to a riverbet, fortunaly I didn't have to.

#4 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2905628
Weirdest hand of the day. I figured he would not call me without atleast some weird overpair or the straight. I was wrong. Don't know if I like my play here, but FI had some very aggro tendencies. Later I found out he was a station.

#5 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2905632
Flushdraws are the nuts.

#6 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2905623
For once I manage to keep the potsize down with aces. Think I played this one perfectly.

Now I'm off to the gym and then it's time for Guitar Hero Swedish National Championship Qualifiers!

Cheers!

100k pageviews!

Blog by : omgbanana

100 000 pageviews! I was planning on doing something fun for my readers to celebrate this milestone for the blog. Unfortunaly I have been running really bad so I haven't been able to find the motivation just yet :( Anyway, I was thinking about recording a session of me playing 4 tables of NL100 and putting it up here for you guys to see. It would ofc not be like watching Sbrugby own NL2k, but atleast you could get some laughs out of it :)

On the more positive side of poker, I have started to be really good at coping with losses at NL100. Usually I became a bit upset and a bit grumpy after a >2bi losing session, but now I feel completely fine with it. Even tho I'm stuck by alot (my means) I can still keep my game running without tilt.

Today I'll try to get ~6h of grinding, then I'm heading to O'Learys to watch my good friend compete in Guitar Hero 3 Swedish Championship Qualifier. He's a really great player, nailing five stars on almost all songs on expert level. Unfortunaly he is by no means swedens best player, but still fun to see him compete :)

I'll post my (and his) results tomorrow. Cheers guys!

Five words: Setups, suckouts and failed flips. -$350 ($250 under EV) and a busted confidence. Nothing worked today. I will not even post the terrible hands I have experienced today. Can't even remember a day that was this horrible. The good thing is that I don't care THAT much, guess I'm getting used to losses which is good.

My roll is down to $3k, from a ATH of $4.2k.

I'll make a descent update any day now, atm I just can't pull myself togheter to do anything :(

Bad day again

Blog by : omgbanana

Just as I got confidence back in my game, I get an awful day. -$300, and I ran like shit. Didn't hit a single draw, got owned by fishes chasing backdoor flushes TWICE (both full BIs ofc) and had a generally worthless day. 1.2k hands was all I could take. Atleast I got ITM in a donkament for a net win of $40 or so.

What started out as an amazing month turned out to be not quite so good. So far I'm stuck $100 over 14k hands, running approx $800 under EV. Anyway, my luck is due to change sometime atleast. Just hope I can keep alive at NL100. 8 more buyins and I will have to drop down and get back to the god-awful NL50-grind again :(

As you can see I'm not in a very positive mode, so I will stop wasting your time right here.

Stupid mondays

Today I broke even. I guess I should be happy about it, since I was down almost $200 at one point, but I was also up a wooping $350... I wish it was the other way ;) I put in 1.5k hands over 4.5 hours which is great, considering I also had 8 hours of work today.

I also did another thing today which I'm really really proud of myself for doing... I did 1h of cardio before breakfast! I woke up, brushed my teeth and went straight to the gym where I spend all the time on an excercise bike! I'll try to do it tomorrow aswell, but good knows if I have the energy.

Regardless of the results today, I'm happy with my play. I can't think of any play in a big pot that I regret doing. Well, maybe one. I flopped TP with an OESD and got it all in vs a huge fish. Not a very good move, since he flopped top two and I didn't suck out. 40% equity isn't that terrible tho. Also got it in with twopair vs another huge fish, which happend to have hit an amazing straight. Not a full BI tho. Some hands I won (and one that I lost):

#1 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2892730
Fishiest play of the day. That's what I call overestimating your hand.

#2 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2892737
Check-calling three streets with TPTK, not always a good idea.

#3 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2892743
Ofc he HAD to have one of the very few possible hands I'm behiind, but I still had 25% equity.

Tomorrow it's another 8 hours of work. My employee have made some severe scheduling errors, meaning that I have worked ~30% more than I'm supposed to. Guess that means I'll get some extra free time in the future, and that means even more grinding :) Maybe I can reach NL200 before summer ends...

Sleep tight.

A day in the green!!! +$225 !

Feels great to finally have a day in the green. Today have been one of my biggest grinding days ever, over a span of 7 hours I put in 3000 hands. Really happy with it, unfortunaly I didn't run very good but hey, I'm in the green, what more can I ask for?

Would have been nice to end at +$400, but I decided that I should keep going.

#1 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2888141
If I could only have a day where I could avoid things like these...

#2 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2888145
Worst play of the day (by me). I knew I was beat once he reraised the turn, so why didn't I fold? Sometimes I fall in love with my "super fish"-notes. I post this hand just because it's embarassing for me, so I hopefully can avoid mistakes like these in the future ;)

#3 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2888153
Getting away from these kinds of hands is really something I have to work on

#4 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2888160
Same goes for this. Folding the river here feels pretty much impossible.

#5 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2888168
When someone calls my flop bet I never expect them to have air, and if that's the case the ace should not have hit him. But then ofc I should have folded the river.

I have alot of semi-interesting hand, but atm I feel I don't have the energy to post them. Tomorrow it's back to work again. I'll see if I can hit the gym before, but most likely I'll be too tired to do anything :( Really need to work on my shape. The long time plan is to hit the gym for one hour before work to do cardio atleat three times per week. Starting up something like this is always the hardest, but once I have done it a few times it shouldn't feel so hard.

Problem is I LOVE to sleep in the mornings.

Anyway, sorry for the poor quailty of the updates lately. I'll try to do better.

Things are still going pretty damn bad. Today I managed to breakeven atleast.

#1 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2881399
FI is pretty much THE worst fish I have ever seen. As you can see on his play.

#2 http://www.pokerhand.org/?2881392
Yes, he is really really good. I just scream and tiltcall the river.

Right now I hate this. 7 straight losing days.
