Record losing session.

Blog by : navila

Every time I go into a session playing when I do not feel like doing it, just to put in hands I get a massive losing session. I don't what the deal is with poker but playing to put in hands always equates to record losses every single time. If it was just odds by now I would have had atleast one winning session break even session or moderate losing, but no each time it isground breaking loses.

Anyone else think like this?

Watching top players in these games take 50 buyin swings has really gotten me on edge when it comes to playing online poker. When I buy into a game, I feel like its putting 50xtimes the buyin on table that I am, then putting it all in preflop for a coin flip just by the single act of choosing to play the game.

I like playing against standard TagFishes.

Blog by : navila

TagFishes are a steady stream of blinds, good times. I enjoy grinding them down round and round and never playing when they finally get a hand and want to play, zero action for you Tag fish. I went down about two buyins earlier in my session getting cooller and sucked out on by the bad wild players. Then I end at a table with a hand full of nits and it was a nice smooth eazy ride grinding away their blinds, with the occasional three bet out of the blinds to keep the fear in them of taking stabs at my blinds on the button. Keep them folding around the table so i don't have to pay or play my blinds and I keep taking theirs. I like the Bad tight players more than the Bad wild players. No varience and steady free monies.

Losing my ass online.

Blog by : navila

Online poker is sick. Ten minutes later you can be down 3-8 buyins before you even have time to get confortable sitting down at the computer. Took a 7 buyin dive earlier and got back to being only down 3 buyins. I swear, I feel like I am loosing my ass when this happens. The reality is that is just how poker is online with all the raising and reraising preflop getting it in light and flipping so often, not to mention getting it on on draws and other guys getting it in on draws the game is a flip feast. I looked up the guy who had the highest winnrate at 5/10 he was at a little over 5ptbb/100 with a 150K hand sample.. In the last 12k hands he is down TWENTY-FIVE BUYINS!?! With 12 of them in the last 2.5k hands.

Well, I have played 8.9k hands at 1/2 so far and an at 3 ptbb/100 but i swear it feels like I am losing my ass with all sick swings every session is up and down many buyins.

Getting back after it.

Blog by : navila

I haven't played online for a month or so. I have been playing live though mostly 1/3, 2/5 when game is running and a bit of 5/10 but I don't like driving that far to get to that game an hour drive compared to the 8 minute drive to get to the 1/3 which sometimes has the 2/5. Long drives tend to put my on tilt before i even arrive at the cardroom so i generally do not do it.

Live, like everyone knows is so much easier than online. Yes, live players play way worse in technique but also the game is some much easier when you can look at a person and size them up and watch how they behave. Live reads on some players can be so dead on its like there hand might aswell be face up on the table.

Anyways, I want to get back to working my way the online ladder by beating each limit from the bottom up decently for a decent hand size before going up. The thing is though, playing online is like driving a car while having to wear a blind fold to me. I swear, i feel more confortable with 1k on the table live then 100 dollars on the table online. With online play my imagination tends to run wild when it comes to labling my opponents are doing and who they are. BT or was it GP, not sure which but anways he was talking to Ezra, "you are worried about monsters under the bed"" like thinking as if your oppenent was always making the perfect play against you everytime.

My plan is to starting playing this upcoming monday and log a good amount of hands in 1/2 6max to close out the rest of the month of june. I have also alot of poker situtation that i would should be doing more study and research on, but for some reason I just havent' done it yet.

Standard, down 8 buyin in 800 hands.

I swear it is so sick how fast buyin can disappear. Fortunally this time in the next 1200 hands went back up the 8 buyins. I just can't get used to how ultra fast buyins can just dissapear. Kinda wierd, I am a winner this month so far in nonshowdown winnings and a Loser in Showdowns.

The Value Bluff

Blog by : navila
0

Been a while since I have blogged. My computer broke down so it mailed it to where i bought it online since it was still under warrenty. Took two weeks for me to get my computer back. Mean while I started playing live during that time and has carried on for a while.

The Value bluff. I had 77 and raised preflop and was called by one person in the blinds and one of the limpers. The flop came down KQQ two tone and the flop gets check too me. I bet about half the pot. One caller in the blinds, now we are heads up on the turn. One the turn the blind guy leads into to me for 15 dollars into a 100 dollar pot. The card is a total blank. I think, there is a straight draw and a flush draw their why is he donk leading into so weak giving anyone odds to call on any type of draw.. Is he hoping to keep the pot small so he can draw cheap or get his K down to show done cheap? So raise to 75 thinking, i would fold out a bigger pocket pair or a weak king.. while he would probable still call on his straight draws and flush draws cause the guy like to draw.
Anways he calls then checks a blank river to me so i check behing and he shows up with Qd3d..

Well that is the type of nonsense live games have... wierd though, still kinda like my raise though just so wierd for him to show up with Q3 in the small blind for a 6x raise prelfop, then not even protect his hand at all with straights+flush draw boards..

In other news, I am starting to play 1-2 nl online a little bit after having won about 40 stacks at .50-1 over the first couple months . Haven't played much online for a while cause live is just so easy along with being pretty relaxing. I enjoy playing live, the socializing, having food brought to you and TV to watch. Online is still very unconfortable for me though I believe playing online is the best way to get better fast along with learning much more about the game. I plan in hitting may and june again in the online games and hopefully win, continue to get better and put myself in good position for taking on 2-4 duing the summer.

I almost never, bluff all-in but when I do, I get snap called by the nuts every single time. I haved played 70k hands and this limited shoved bluffed like 6 times and all on them result in snap calls by boats flushes, straights.. its so sick.. I swear, i like never never bluff and the second I do anything I get owned. My value shoves all in rarely get payed but if its the 1 out of 100 that is a bluff SNAP CALL.
