First blog ever!!!

On Monday of this past week I took down an $11 buy in $30k guananteed on stars for just about $5K so seeing that I now have a pretty descent roll online I figured I would start a poker blog for funs. Before the tourny my bankroll hovered around $1k and i had been trying to grind out some hands at 25nl. But of course i'm way to much of a degen to stick with that and kept playing 5-10 or 10-20 limit hold'em games seeing as how i learned to play poker playing limit and consider myself to be a much better limit player than no limit as i'm still learning the game. Its kinda funny that after one of these sessions i thought to myself how cool it would be if there was some way to restrict the size of game you play. I've been a winner at all the microstakes over a decent sample of hands, i just kept getting tired of grinding for hours and making $5 an hour or whatever. Of course after losing close to half of my 1.2k roll one day in a 10-20 limit game i stumbled across the restrict table limit option on stars (fuck me).

So after I shipped the 5k my bankroll was up to 5.6K. I withrew 1.4k to buy a new monitor since cascading 9-12 tables on my 15" laptop was getting a little annoying and to have some extra money in the bank. I decided with my 4.2k roll i would stick with 50nl to work on my game and hopefully build up enough of a roll in a month or so to move up to 100nl. Since my current roll actually means something to me now my plan is to be quite nitty. I'm not sure when i'll make the move up but it definitely won't be before my roll is at least over 6k. It will depend on how i feel i'm playing and how comfortably i get with nl.

My plan for this blog is to update how i feel i'm playing and to keep myself accountable for sticking to my br guidelines.

So far today I have played 1740 hands for a profit of a little over +$200. I might put in another session in a bit here but we'll see.
