Alright, I'm a relatively new member to CR and have been watching videos and pretty regularly. I've been trying to get myself to post more in the forums and start a blog for some time now but I am just getting around to doing it. I've been playing internet poker for about 3 years now off and on. I had pretty great success when I started but haven't been living up to expectations lately.
Right now I'm in the process of building back my online bankroll which seems to be dwindling down to nothing over the past couple of months. Looking back on it , I can't even beleive how bad I was playing, one of those hindsight is 20/20 kind of things i guess. I'm now playing 5 dollar sit n' goes at full tilt. I've only played around 100 or so in the past week, but it seems like i'm doing pretty well at them, cashing around 50%. I've also peppered in some plo at the 10$ max tables. These are rediculously light and am kind of embarresed even playing them. But my bankroll is also embarrassing so I think I should just swallow my pride and grind it out.
My live poker game has been excellent in the past couple months. I've built my bankroll up to around 1100 and been regularly beating the 1/3 game around San Diego. I've always liked my game live better than online. It seems like I get less frustrated in live play, I take time to cool off and end up going on tilt much less. Anyway hopefully I continue on my hot streak at the live games because i'm going to L.A. for the weekend to visit college friends. I'm sure i'll play at the casinos plenty of times this trip.
Anyways my goals for this spring/ summer are to start improve on my online cash game. I want to be profficient at the .5/1 tables by the end of the summer. This will take a lot of work but it's something i believe I can accomplish. I would like to be playing 100 6max and 100 full ring NL, and some 50 plo by the end of summer. This would require a much bigger bankroll than i currently have but nothing too rediculous I think.
Currently I am also in the process of finding a new poker room. My full tilt account doesn't have rakeback and if I am going to be putting in the hours it takes to improve at online poker there isn't any reason I shouldn't have a rakeback account. I am leaning toward cake poker, one of my friends suggested it and said it was pretty soft, It also has a pretty nice rakeback. Of course I might just "teach" my sister how to play on full tilt. Who knows. Well anyway hope this blog wasn't too unreadable, thanks for reading, good luck at the tables.
