Back from the first CR happy hour, which was super fun. We had a nice mix of members and instructors, including Taylor, Wiggins, Stinger, p3achy, LearnedFromTV and [vital]Myth. Matt Matros even stopped by on his dinner break from the PLHE WSOP event. Dan from Pokerati made an appearance, along with some other poker media and personalities (oh hi, change100 and Kara Scott). Huge shout out to Joe, Noah and Justin for helping out at the door and handing out gear.

We'll be throwing another happy hour next week, same time, same place. Come out to Stripburger next Thursday, June 10th, from 5-8pm. It's across the street from the Wynn (technically in the Fashion Show Mall). Drink and eat for free with CR members and instructors and we'll be giving away more gear, including brand new CR t-shirts.

Stripburger set up a room for us to watch the NBA finals in last minute, but I was running around and didn't get to watch much of the game. Bummed to see Celtics lost, I'm a huge Rondo fan and really hoping they take the series. The party lasted until almost 9 (weeeeeeeeeee), and then a bunch of us headed over to the Venetian to rail Alex/nomo4life who final tabled his first big live tourney, the $550 from yesterday. He chopped for $20k, so sick!

After that I stopped by the Pokerati game at the Hard Rock which is half PLO half NLHE. I played PLO for the first time ever live, and won some monies. I won a huge hand early where I turned the nuts but had to dodge flush and boat outs. I agreed to run it twice before we turned the cards over, not really sure what's right, but I faded a ton of outs to scoop. I played another hour but was falling asleep so came back to my home away from home, the Gold Coast. <3 GC!

Playing my first event tomorrow, a $1,500 NLHE. Right now I'm mainly planning to play WSOP events, but I may try to mix in some Venetians. Off to bed before I fall asleep at the keyboard. Def need to get myself on West Coast time, I was wide awake at 6:30am this morning and now I'm barely staying up past midnight. :(
