Fancy Play Syndrome Out the Door

0

Is it just me that suffer from Fancy Play Syndrome? Oh well, I think I have tamed the beast.

So, if you are following the blog I have had bankroll problems and I am making my way into the low stakes. I started the year playing NL25 and after a successful start, I moved to NL50.

That's when the down fall started. I started thinking people were making moves on me, and moved away from what had worked at NL25. I know we need to adjust a little bit, but I did way too much and I became very spewey. But I couldn't move down even after one incredible 7bi down swing. I manage to grind it up a bit again, but I was suffering from FPS - Fancy Play Syndrome. It is amazing that while trying to establish myself at NL50, I managed to start playing incorrectly. It took a friend looking over a session of mine and point out a few things that I was doing wrong for me to get back to running the way I should.

You can see that I managed to lose about 15 buyins in the process. Greatfully I have been able to recover and now I believe I am playing my A-game once again. Enjoy this graph which has my last 5.5k hands.

So to round up this middle of the month update, I want to say I am up about $900 this month including 2 bonus (100 ironmen store and 175 end of year bonus) and rakeback (27%). I haven't counted the $400 I get to write a column for another pokerblog and also $60 for 2 lessons I gave to a micro-limit student.

That's all for now.
