Crazy break even the last few days. I cant win a preflop all in right now. My dominating hands are losing to three outers and my kings are getting run down by AK and aces going busto to queens. Hopefully this straightens itself back out soon.

I am making a new start with poker today. I am going to start trying to play within my bankroll a lot more, and try to focus on cash games. I will play some tourneys from time to time but I am really going to try to focus on some $25 NL cash tables and see how long it will take me to move up. I just started reading Harrington on cash games Vol. 1 and will go for two next. I have already changed my game up quite a bit and can tell a big difference. I am losing a lot less on losing hands and winning more on winning hands. I have really been going through PT alot more after my sessions and checking to see what I was doing best in my good hands and what was going wrong with my losers. Hopefully the books will help a lot. I have read Harrington's tourney books and will probably revisit those again fairly soon and read Theory of Poker. Still need to get through Super System 1 and 2. If you know of any other great books that have helped you out, PLEASE, let me know. I really want to focus on becoming a student of the game and becoming a great player. My tourneys for a period are going to focus on the steps tournies on Stars to try to get into the 2010 PCA.

I have been on a terrible downswing lately. Jumped in the $28,000 guarantee on FT last night and happened to play amazingly for a second place finish. I would have liked to win my second mtt but I will take a second because the money is still good. Starting to feel like I know what I am doing again.

I have been on one of the worst downswings I have ever been on lately. I am getting very frustrated because I am getting my money in so good and the other players seem to be hitting three outers on me on the river so often in the last month. I am going to make one more deposit tomorrow and see what happens from there. Might just give it up.

Well I definitely havent posted a blog in a while. I kind of feel like being a jerk and gloating though. I didnt get a first place but I got a second place in a stud hi MTT on FT tonight. Would have been nice to pick up win number two but I will take second because the extra money will help and it will boost my confidence after some of the crazy beats that I have been taking for the last two months. Other than playing tonight, I have been working about sixty hours a week, and come home to my girlfriend and dog so I dont have much time to play, They are out of town for the weekend and on night one of them being gone I had a decent finish so we will see what happens tomorrow. I feel like everything is finally starting to come together for me. I think I have put in the time and effort to really better myself at the poker table. I have read books, watched the shows, listened to what the pros have to say, and finally did the really smart thing and joined Card Runners. I have finally been showing a good profit for the last week and a half. I have mainly been playing heads up sit n gos because I feel pretty confident in my heads up game after watching a lot of the HU videos. I am up about $1600 since August 19. I know that isnt much to some, but it is a good chunk of change for me. So hopefully I have put most of the bad play behind me and can keep doing what I am doing.

Hey everyone. First off, I would like to say I think it is awesome that Lee is on board running the Card Runners team now. From that point, I have not been playing that much lately because I just started a new job last week. I am pretty much a salesman but I dont know how well I will do since I have a degree in financial planning. Anyways put some money in the other night and I am up a bit since that deposit. I almost cancelled my account the other day but I am going to stick with it now. I have orientation at work for a week and a half starting Monday so I will be at orientation during the day and playing poker at night in my hotel room. Good luck at the tables everyone.

Well, since the start of April, I have been doing well at the 50 NL tables on Stars and done pretty well with a couple of sit n gos. It is also finally warm enough in Michigan to go golfing again. I played nine holes on Saturday and hit 8 over, which is good for me because I just started playing last summer. I am going out tomorrow morning to which is why I wont be playing too much tonight. I will be posting a couple of interesting hands in the forums if anyone wants to go check them out. One of them I got bluffed out of a pretty sizeable pot and the other I had an overpair against another overpair to the board but it was smaller than mine. Good luck at the tables everyone.

I donked off my entire bankroll again. I dont know why I insist on playing when I am drunk and pissed off at my life and my GF. Every other time I play during the week things are fine. Anyways, drunk and pissed is not the way to play because then you have to find money to play. Good luck asking your pissed girlfriend. She will probably tell you to fuck off and go watch Anchorman or Arrested Development because that is what you would rather do most of the time anyways. So in retrospect, if you are thinking about having a "date night" with your girlfriend, tell her you have already won a satellite seat into a tourney so that you dont have to deal with the nonsense of having to go to bed at a certain time or watching Atonement with her. You can stay up and play cards until your eyes are bleeding and then watch High Stakes Poker on DVR for another 4 hours until she wakes up to say why didnt you come to bed. Then you say "Oh, I fell asleep out here right after you went to bed." That is the only way to keep them happy. Good luck gentlemen...
