Tells

I had a blast playing live last night for about 5 hours. The game is so different from online! Overall I was up 1 1/2 buy-ins. I played very well except in one pot when I check behind on the turn when I should have bet my boat. I was hoping the other guy would catch up as I didn't think he had much. Turns out he had an overpair and I missed out on a bunch of value!

I even played HU against one guy who called me out. I couldn't believe he wanted to play HU because he is such a nit and always complains when the game gets short handed. I was game because I think I had a pretty big edge on him even though I haven't played much HU lately. It didn't last too long as other people joined the table but I think I was up ~$100 on him.

Later I played 6 handed with one of the better players on my immediate left. He is a good LAG so I wasn't thrilled about having him on my left but there were two weaker players to my right. I have only played with the LAG once before. I am psyched that I picked up some pretty big tells on him unfortunately I did have any big pots against him. I am looking forward to playing with him again to try and take advantage of these tells. Anytime he played a big pot with a big hand or the nuts his breathing rate rate went way up and he got the scissor leg going. Twice I think I saw him run some big bluffs and he got that frozen look but I didn't get to see his cards. It will be great to keep watching and confirm these reads as he is a real action player.
