TR - DC, NYC, Vegas, San Diego

DC and NYC

Poker aside, my time here in the USA has been amazing. After looking around DC for 2 days by myself, I linked up with 2 friends in NYC and relived the unforgettable week that I had there in January 2010. Whereas last time we spent most of our nights in the Village and Lower East Side, this time we found ourselves gravitating towards Meatpacking and East Village. All are great bar-hopping areas if you're ever in town. It was also great to see Central Park in summer; last time it was winter and the place just didn't do itself justice.

Vegas

After NYC I spent 20 nights in Vegas, the highlight of which was after the Main Event when all my friends arrived and we had a bender of a week. For my birthday celebrations we went to XS on the Saturday and Encore Beach Club on the Sunday. An epic 24 hours it was, ending with one drunken friend in hospital with 10 stitches in his head after slipping on the pool deck. Vegas baby!

San Diego

Next we were off to San Diego. We stayed at the most perfect location on Pacific Beach and had a jam-packed 4 days: beach, baseball, zoo, Balboa Park, old town, downtown and, of course, lots of partying. We discovered 2 for 1 at Cabo Cantina and re-met up with these friends that we met at PCA 2010. One of those cool circumstances where you think you'll never see each other again but then actually do.

At the moment I'm in LA and will be here for another few days. LA sucks. More on that another day. Next I'm off to San Francisco and after that I will finally be back in Europe! Woo!
