It was alway going to happen

Well last night i had the downswing from hell over about 2K hands, and the worst bit was that i started playing 25NL when it started and got out down 4 BI's at cash, and $25 at tournies. I had a quick look through PT and there were about $250 in pots where i was sucked out in, it was so demorizing to setup a move on an opponent, get it in when you def have him beaten, then the inevitable suckout. Crazy times. :-(

As for the tournies, well i really enjoy having a tournie table or two open at the same time as playing cash, and i have had a couple of $1500 cashes in the past, but last night the bad beats where just mirrored big time in these tournies as well.

Anyway, i could go on indefinately, but on the positive it is back to grinding 10NL till i get back up to $200 again...hopefully i will catch a sick heater to make the whole trannie a little easier to swallow.

Big shout outs to my main man eddie just pulling down a win in a $5 MTT for $1370. This is his biggest cash by far and for someone who has only played the game for approx 6 months he shows such a good grasp of reading people and putting them on hands. GOGOGOGOGOGO eddie, luv ya bruva ;-)

Cruising through the micro limits...again

Blog by : jacbmw

Start: $45, +$158 = $202.50

Well in the last 4 days I have logged about 5K hands at 5NL and 10NL. I surpose I have been running slightly hot, but the standard of play at these limits is just plain rediculous. I am forever surprised the stupid bluffs people make with ZERO fold equity, or in spots that make no logical sense...I have to say, some of these players are boarderline retarded...

I also played one SNG in this time of the $3 45 man variety which I was lucky enough to win. It is so easy to run over the FT of these when the blinds are above 300/600 and just steal, steal, steal.

I am going to start mixing in a couple of tables of $25NL now my roll is over $200 and get nicely cemented at $25NL until my roll is at $750, where I am going to take very small stabs at 50NL again.

I am going to try and play 7K hands a week until this is completed, and if I run at 5ptbb/100 this should take about 24 days...

So here we go then, on the 14th of february I want to be making the transition to 50NL which would be like 1.5 months before my new year resolution schedule.

Current Roll: $46

Well as mentioned i have recently been away camping/surfing, which was sick fun and the rest was definately needed.

Since my return (which i have to admit i was looking forward to been able to get back on the tables) i have played a little poker (about 1500 hands). In this time i have been very naughty, whereby employing silly BRM and dabbling a little in 10NL with about 5 BI's.

I know this is silly and i am at about -$13 over 500 hands at 10NL, but i find it very difficult force myself to play a certain limit. This is something i am going to work on very strictly, and tonight when i play, i am going to force myself to play 5NL. This pill will be able to be swolled a little easier due to the fact that i will be 8 tabling with my 9 BI's, so atleast i will be kept interested.

As a reward, i will have a 2 BI shot at 10NL when i get to $80, so that really shouldnt be all that far away as will be putting in 1000 hands tonight...

Nice little build day

Start: $28, +$14.5 = $42.5.

Well my conquest of the micro limits continues as i make the journey back into Mid Limit Stardom...

Put in a nice session last night of approx 1000 hands and made about 3.5 BI's at 5NL. I currently only have 8.5 buyins for this limit, but i am forced to play underrolled for the first little while because of my bank roll, and the ease of play at these limits.

It is obv. pretty difficult to find any interesting hands grinding these limits, but the only hand that comes close from last nights session is the following:

I am not going to hit up the tables now for another couple of days as i am off camping and surfing. I have been really looking forward to this trip with my brother and his GF and her family...so until i get back, gl and smack em in the face lol

New Beginnings

Blog by : jacbmw

Start: $6, +$22 = $28.

Ok so here we go....I surpose you cannot come from more humble beginnings, but i feel that chronicaling my metoric rise in to Middle Limit NL stardom is going allow me to keep mega focused. Not just focused on my game, but focused on my goals and correct BRM.

So to begin. Massive shout outs to my main man Eddie for the now famous $6 stars transfer. I am going to run this up crazy style a la my June 2007 effort ($2 --> $5K in 4 weeks until i had to redraw to pay for a new motor in my BMW).

Last night i began, playing 600 hands at 2NL and 5NL. I made approx $22 and now have a roll of $28. I am loading pokertracker up hopefully tonight (once i get a new registration code) and will then be able to give some proper stats.

Please note i am using aggressive BRM for the lower limits as follows:

<$80 = 2NL and 5NL

$80 to $320 = 10NL

...

Till next micro limit installment, smake em in the face...
