Hey

I've decided to give the brain fail experiment of not looking at my results for a week a go and see how it goes. I will be updating on here daily for anyone who is interested.

Wish me luck!

March poker and a bit of life stuff

Blog by : imadonkey

March results:

Decided to play 12 tables of 9 max this month at 25nl with some 6 max thrown in and between 6-8 tables at 50nl 6max and between 4-6 tables at 100nl 6 max with only 1 table of 200nl 9max .

25nl, 25,000 hands/32.47hours = +$448.30 + $120.86rb = +$568.68 running at 7.17 bb/100

50nl 4,884 hands/10.04 hours = +$256.44 + $37.49rb = +$293.93 running at 10.50 bb/100

100nl 2,744 hands/11.59 hours = -$213.17 + $33.54rb = -$179.63 running at -7.77 bb/100

200nl 111 hands/2.23hours = +$276.15 + $2.17rb = +$278.32 running at 124.39 bb/100

Total Profit = $961.30 = $17.07/hr

Poor volume yet again, but it is always going to be tough around this time of year whilst i'm at Uni.

It may seem strange to some that i have such a contrast in levels but i have recently moved money to Full Tilt to grind playing 12 tables starting at 25nl so that my learning curve for so many tables is still profitable whilst playing more sophisticated thinking poker on the Ipoker network to keep up the learning curve.

Right now that stuff is out the way, life outside of poker has been good (apart from uni work), been hitting the gym hard and life with the gf (of 3 years now) is going great. She just celebrated her birthday so it was nice to get drunk and have a laugh after the strict routine and diet i've been on recently. I'm really considering becoming a personal trainer/poker player when i finish uni and therefore need to be in good shape as no-one wants a fat guy training them! If anyone reading this has any knowledge or advice please give me a shout as i would really appreciate anything you have to offer (for those of you that get this far into my blog lol as i doubt many do!).

Ok well i'm sure that i've bored those of you that have got this far enough, so til next time take care all and good luck at the tables and in life.

Later

February cash game results plus tourny win

Blog by : imadonkey

Hi all

Late review of February's results.

Had a very lazy month as far as poker goes due to a massive uni work load. Fortunately i managed to bag an MTT donkament which i decided to play whilst i was doing an assignment. The assignment ended up taking a lot longer than i expected due to my deep run. +Ev for poker, def -Ev for assignment mark!! Results are as follows:

25nl = +$600
50nl = +$460
1 MTT win = +$1117, plus 2 other cashes in the 4 i entered left me pretty much even on buy-ins.

Overall = +$2177

So February went well all considering. I would usually write about my March aims now, but for obvious reasons that would kinda suck, so i will just do a March update in my next entry.

From now until the end of my exams i'm going to just try grind out some solid results in the small amount of playing time i'm going to be able to put in and then hopefully work on playing 50nl and 100nl and some 200nl depending on results throughout the summer. Summer is going to be an important time for me, as it's a time when i really get to grind out some good hours and see where i can actually go with this game (gona take a lot of dedication too as i love the sun and here in the UK we only really see it in the summer months lol!).

Till next time

2nd entry - January evaluation

Blog by : imadonkey

Hey all that bother to read this! :)

Hope you all had a good start to the year. And for those that didn't, it's all about making this month better :)

My January finished with +$961 in 25nl(6max) over 65597 hands and +$156 in 100nl(HU) over 448 hands.

So overall not bad, but i can do better. I started looking at my hands after every session the last week of the month and i've found some leaks in my game which i'm going to be working on eradicating throughout February.

Also trying really hard to organise my time well as trying to grind and study poker to the levels i want gets in the way of uni work. But my philosophy on it is that everyone has the same 24 hours in the day as i do, so i have no excuses to not use that time well and be as successful as the next guy.

Right talking of TIME, it's time for me to hit the sack as i need to get up early and grind for a few hours, then work on my assignment for a few hours, before i have to play footy in the afternoon for my uni!

Take care everyone and gl at the tables

First blog entry for a donkey wannabe pro

Blog by : imadonkey

Hi all

Just signed up to cardrunners as i am looking to work hard and improve my game to a standard that will enable me to go pro when i finish uni in the summer of 2011.

Ok so my poker career so far. On the 20th of November 2009 i deposited $600 on FT and have been playing 25nl 6max til now. Started with 8 tables, then 9 and currently playing 12 for roughly 2 hours per day. my current roll with the rakeback i'm due next month so far stands just over the $3k mark. I will posts my graph when i figure out how. Tried to add an image before and it said invalid for server or something....

Anyways, my plan is to grind up to $20k+ by the summer of 2011 and then go pro... not sure if this is a sufficient roll to go pro, but i'm figuring it should be ok?

Hopefully i will achieve this and also get to know and become friends with some fellow cardrunners members along the way too. Oh and obviously improve my game too!

Til next time
