Horrible Day

I just had a horrible day dropping 8 buy-ins at 100 nl and plo. I was just murdered every hand I was a favorite in. I have no confidence in poker right now and I used Full Tilt's self exclusion for 3 days.

I don't know why I am running so bad or how I can change it. I hope to figure it out soon.

This game makes no sense sometimes. Seems like those who run good get all the money and no one really has an edge. At least for me my edge can never be big enough it seems to counteract how bad I run!

Warming up?

After dropping 10k last month I saw no forseable future in poker. However, I just love the game too much to give up on it yet. So, I purchased around 20 books and signed up for cardrunners. I took 2 weeks off and studied a whole lot. My biggest leaks were tilt and bankroll management and I believe I patched both up quite a bit. The easiest way to fix tilt I found is to never chat at the tables. The bankroll leak is an obvious fix.

So, today I made my comeback starting at $100 nl 6 max and hu with a $2000 roll. I ended up about 5 buyins and feel like I played near perfect poker. The break I took really cleared my mind and how bad I was playing/running the past few months. I hit so many draws today it was insane. I really feel like if you have a positive mindset the luck comes along with it!

My plan is to move up when I have 40 buyins for the next level. I am being very conservative but with what has happened in the past I think it is the only way.

I just want to thank all of you at this site for motivation and knowledge. Good luck!
