I have to admit...I am one of those players that thinks you should be able to win against anyone over a period of time at a good winrate...today I was reminded on how important table selection is. Since I moved up to 50nl about a month ago I stopped being picky about table selection after the first week. Then came the break even streak. But the last couple of days I have been table selecting and being a stickler about it and it is definitely paying off. I think I am going to be moving up to 100nl in the next week...at least taking a shot at it. Don't know how it is going to differ from 50nl but interested in finding out. I would like to have 25 Buy Ins before taking a shot, but if I have my coach sweating me I am fine if I have a little less then that. I have two days or so to make the 25 buy ins happen...just need one more day like today and I am good. Well that is all for now...

I had a snowboard accident the other day and I am unable to put any pressure on my left leg. So I am sitting down all day working and playing some poker. I have just realized the importance of taking good notes on regs to find out their tendencies and how to exploit them...I have stacked quite a few of them recently and my ability to play 50nl profitably is soaring. I added in some 3Bing into my game in position and it is going well...I am trying to stay to 6 tables pay attention to game flow and switch modes when I think my opponent has had enough. Been an interesting week I lost 10 Buy-ins trying this new strategy...but in hind site I was not playing in position which is VERY IMPORTANT then I have now won my 10 Buy-ins back and am ready to continue cracking heads. I feel even more confident that I can crush 50nl, just have to make sure I stick to 6 tables for now. Until next time....

If it wasn't for television...I would have a hard time coping with this weeks results so far...I hope tonight and tomorrow get a hell of a lot better. But I have to say I have made some pretty dumb plays lately...like going all in pre-flop with K7 because I got 3B by a regular who I thought was 3B light but really wasn't....sometimes I just have to remember I am playing 50nl and to play straight forward...that is the best way to win. That said I have a meeting with my coach tomorrow night...get to tell him all about my week and review the video with me playing crazy against the regulars.

I think I made some huge strides in poker over the last month or so...and what seems to happen when I get on a roll is that I am then hit by a semi truck where I lose focus for long periods of time, go into auto pilot mode and start to play break even poker at best...I am committing myself for the rest of this week to if I ever go into a place of complacency and get into auto pilot I will do something else with my time rather than play poker. I think that will be the best thing for me and my winnings...If you are at my table WATCH OUT I am coming for your stack...taking notes and money FOCUSED!

I just wrote yesterday about being on Cloud 9...then withing 30 minutes of my session I hit my 2 Buy In Stop Loss...I wasn't mad though didn't play the hands that bad...guess it is time to watch Californication...so far it has been a good Season 1, and now on to Season 2...will be back at the felt tomorrow. Gonna do my messing with the regs video I think...

I am on cloud 9...I think that is the saying. I just finished my coaching session with Damnringer and he thinks I can move up to $100nl and start taking some shots soon which is freakin awesome!!! My goal for the end of the year is to be at the 200nl limit with a win rate of 5BB/100. I am feeling more and more confident that I can do as I go through my coaching sessions. I have already won back all the money I paid to CR for the coaching in one week...and have killed it at the tables. Looking forward to my HW assignment too...45 minutes of messing with the regulars...LOL that should be fun. Until next time.

Me and Poker have a love hate relationship...I love it when the cards are running good and the fish are paying me off, but boy do I hate it when they suck out...then I go on tilt and lose not just the money I won but what I buy in for and then sum...TILT I HATE YOU !!! I will overcome you and become one of the greats...I promise you that! Mother-Fer....DANG!

Well, this is my first blog...don't know how to really work the whole blogging thing. But today I have officially finished my first couple of weeks at my new 50nl level. It seems like it has taken me forever to get from $100 to being bankrolled for this level and I want to move up levels a whole lot quicker moving into this new year. My goal is to be a reg at the 200nl by the end of the year with a minimum Bankroll of $10k. I think that is very dueable...just really focusing on keeping my winrate up to 5+BB/100 on each level.

I just went to the casino and played some live poker...and boy is it frustrating when you get it all in with the best hand and BAM the card you don't wanna see comes up. I have aboout 90BB UTG and I straddled. Everyone Folds to the SB and he makes it $16 the BB calls and I bump it to $55 w/ TT. SB folds and BB pushes AI w/ 200+BB. Now the BB has seen me make some good plays and thinks I am making a move...I think for a bit and stack off. The BB shows 33...the flop 3Q8 son of a BITC#....Then lost another 50BB a couple hands after that after getting it in even money on the flop, turn I became the favorite and river became the dog...after that I called it quits...this game is so funny some days. I have to say even though I lost 150BB at the 200nl I felt I played focused and best and I never put my $ in bad the 3 hands I did play...LOL
