I like Full Tilt

Blog by : flashniak

So I have my rakeback deal on Full Tilt and I started to play with 750 $ roll there. Sometimes shit happens and I lost 6 buy ins very quickly , so I had only about 600 $ after two days on Full Tilt. Because of the nice bonus I didn't like to drop to NL10 and I made the decision to deposit 150 $ of my money and try to start again. It worked, I played ok and booked some wins. Because of the bonus and rakeback my bankroll grows very fast and I want to play at least 40k hands at NL25. At the point of 1250 $ I made a cash out of 200$ and bought the holdem manager, which is very very nice! I want to cash out my hole bonus and move up to NL50 with a roll of 1500$ . I hope I can achieve this by the end of this year. My roll is 1145 $ now and I cleared about 120 $ of my bonus.

I think my poker game is getting better now. Watching the microstakes series by verneer helped a lot. One big mistake was to cbet too many flops. I like the delayed cbet on the turn and I try to implement it into my game. It works very fine. I try to identify good and bad flops for cbet.

Second thing and more important thing is table selection. If you do it right poker becomes so easy. There are a lot of really bad players on Full Tilt and it is so easy to take their money. I like to switch a lot between tables, because I don't want to mess with regs or "good" players. It's not necessary. The money comes from the fish.

good luck at the tables

I’m still struggle with the micros

The graph tells everything about the last two month of poker. I played a lot, but with bad results.

Something must and will change in the future. Here is a list with things I want to change or work on it:

  1. Bankroll: I will stop playing on Pacific Poker. There is no reason for me to play on this site anymore. The games aren't so soft and the rake is killing me. In 30k hands I lost 200$ playing NL25 and payed about 560$ rake. WTF? I will transfer the money to Full Tilt, where I have a rakeback deal now.
  1. Mindset: I must work on my mindset. Sometimes I make stupid moves. I don't really know why I do that, but I do. Fancy play syndrom kills my winrate. If I play poker, my ego should be quiet. I will read the book "The poker mindset". Maybe it will help me with this problem.
  1. Game skills: In the past I was playing always four tables. I want to change this. I will play sessions with two or four tables. I want to be a thinking player. If I will play two tables I want to focus on new things. For every hand I play they must be a good reason for the move I make. There are a lot of things, which I can do better or implement into my game.
  1. Life and poker: I love poker, but I need to care about other things in life and do other things. Poker is not life!In the next time I want to play short sessions of about 300 - 500 hands for the day and post two or three interesting hands on the forums. My goal is also to study 2 - 4 vids during the week. It's really hard to find the right balance between poker and life.

One step back

Blog by : flashniak

July was a terribel month for me. Lost about 300 $ at NL25 in just 20K hands. For August and maybe Semptember I will play only NL10. I'm playing bad at the moment and I'm tilting too much. During the next week I will review some hands and will post them here and in the forum. Poker sucks, but life is good! In 4 week I will go to San Diego for a scientific conference and vacation. It will be a lot of fun.

I can win!

Blog by : flashniak

After a very bad start in July losing 250 $ (10 buy ins) I forced myself to be more focused and tried to avoid marginal situation. This weekend I had only one spot where I tilted 2 buy ins against a 80/17 player. One pair was not enough. In these situations I must be more professional, lay down my hand and wait for a better spot.

Here are my stats for the weekend:

Current Bankrolls:

Pacific Poker: 931.38 $

Poker Stars: 670.17 $

Absolute Poker: 221.42 $

Total:1822.97 $

Hey Cardrunners!

I want to be honest to you and to myself: I suck at poker. The only positive thing is that there is a lot of space for improvement and this is the reason why I joined cardrunners. I think to blog about my progress will help my game. My current level is NL25 (6max) on Stars and Pacific and I play sometimes on AP NL10. The fact is: I cant beat these games! I played about 50k hands at NL25 and I'm running like 2BB/100.

My plan for the future is to study more and improve my game. The results will hopefully follow.
