FTOPS Event1 and other tournies

It's kinda late but I wanted to post some about my experience with FTOPS Event 1 and the other 6 or 7 tournies I decided to play that day. Quite frankly, I played pretty poorly and ran into some hands in most of these tournies that aren't worth discussing too much; i.e. (KK vs AA), (46 vs J7 on a 235J flop and I was Short stacked) and other hands of the like. Thankfully, I ended up cashing into a satellite that I had already won a seat to so that covered pretty much all the tournament expenses and gave me a little profit to show for the day. Oh yea, the way I busted in the FTOPS was I was in the SB with 77 and roughly 8 or 9BB. One behind the Cutoff limps and I decide to push with 77 hoping to capture the blinds to build my stack and I get snapped called by KQs for half of the limpers stack. Flop K46 with 2 of his suit :( GG me. Anyways, I just won a seat to FTOPS Events 8 and 9 so hopefully I can make something happen there!! Lets do it!

Intro and a Story

Well, I figured all the time that i spent reading other blogs I might as well create my own Cardrunner Blog! Anyways, my name is Frank and I currently go to school full time and play low-stakes online on Full Tilt and PokerStars. My career in poker first started while watching many episodes of ESPN's World Series of Poker and becoming more and more interested in the game of poker. I first deposited money in Ultimate Bet and ran my $100 deposit up to $1,600 before tilt and poor bankroll management sent me spirialing down and eventually busto. After a few failed deposits at Pokerstars, I decided to give up online poker for a period of time to concentrate on my education. However, one faithful day, I decided to make a deposit on Full Tilt for $100 and ran hot; final tabling a Stud and Holdem tournament, and with some good cash game success ran it up to what it currently is: around $1400. I currently seek to hopefully take advantage of some deposit bonuses out there and cash out some of my profits so i can maximize my winnings and get rakeback(forgot to sign up for it at Full Tilt&Pokerstars) so if anyone knows of a good poker site that offers a good deposit bonus, let me know please!

Anyways, recently I played in a satellite tourney for FTOPS Event 1 and came across a strange circumstance. It was near the bubble and one player was severly shortstacked and was literally typing into the chatbox begging people to time out and to fold to his BB. Some of the players agreed to this and me, being a big stack at the time, didn't really care to join this because i felt this was a little bit of collusion and didn't want any part of it. This wasn't fair to the other tables that didn't have an edge like this and I didn't outwardly oppose it but it seemed pretty unethical in some part. Anyways, I ended up busting this player on the bubble when his AK
