Good month

Blog by : fbg1919

It's been a while since I've updated this and this morning I decided I seriously needed to write more since I am up early and no games are really available.

It's been a good month so far, although I haven't got off to a huge start (only 11k hands played so far) I'm up quite a bit and I hope I can double this by the end of the month at least :) I've been sick for 1/2 this period due to me being overly aggressive with my workout schedule so I had to quit the gym for a few days until I figure out what's going on. I haven't been in a week to the gym and I think today I'm gonna go do at least 1hr of workout since I feel I am in need of it ...badly.

As far as poker I'll let my graph talk about it , a lot if interesting hands going on but don't really have the stamina to write them all on here. I've taken a shot at 1/2 again with a couple of huge fish on 1 table only, and as you might've expect , it's been swingy as hell. (graph will prolly show it best :)

I'm slowly recovering to a full running schedule of playing/working so I am trying to play at least double the amount for the last weeks of March so I can get at least 35k hands in. If I'm looking good for March I'm deffinitely stepping it up to 1/2 and see if I'm going to be comfortable again with 200NL (prolly just 2 tabling at start).

In other news I'm kinda working again, and not because feel like I can't make it on poker alone but it is 110% related to poker and I have fun plus the money is good (or hopefully is ). I'm gonna do a 1month trial and see what that will net me at the end. Basically I'm cutting off my poker time in the evenings , 4-6 days a week , Sundays off (3-6 depending on the customers) for making around 1-1.5 BI(in terms of 100NL) certain. What i'm doing you may ask ? Well I will run a local poker club :) (yeh I know dream job) and deal cards at FT of the regular mtt's we got going and the ocasional small (200NL /500NL euro) and big (2KNL -5KNL euro) cash games we offer too. I get a basic sallary + tips for the FT dealing plus 1/2 tips from the cash games. It might even add to more than $100 a day but I'll be reserved and say it's ok for now untill I see different> (in case you're wondering if is little or much , for Romania this is pretty big for basically working less than 30hrs/wk , since the avg. paycheck monthly is around $1000 :) for your avg. skilled worker). As promissed here is graph overall and a graph for the 1/2 mini-shot - to better give you an ideea of why it was so swingy and had to be really careful : at one point we were playing 3 handed , fish in the middle , tough regular on my left, all having 300BB+ stacks, fish having at the time 450BB... yah.. I know... deeeeeep mini shot)

Swongs of our life

Blog by : fbg1919

Yes, it's been like that for the second half of February.. in short, I did play a more laggy style but also noticed that I don't have the discipline to play a good profitable LAG style yet (this translates to " I can't fold when I'm suppose to fold" ) so I will tighten up a bit in two aspects of my lag game: 3betting OOP and paying off river. Not many details can go into this entry because I'm already fed up myself with all the beats and / or wins I got over the last 10k hands, but I will post agraph to just give a small ex. of how it's been :)

As far as life, spring is here that means tennis and football(soccer) meets with my buds come in order and also I need to train more at the gym. I'm white as a frickinn napkin and some tanning is due also (I have very good pigment and can get darker than your average chocolate during summer etc :) ).

Overall I will have yet another break even month but I have a feeling with the adjustments I'm making , March will be one of my most profitable months , bad runs and what not included.

As promissed here's a graph for 1 (one day) alone :

Terrible break

Blog by : fbg1919

and follow-up session... didn't play for about 2-3 days and just roamed around , playing some Mtt's etc, yesterday had a good win in a 3k euro freeroll from a smaller site where 3K were given to the top 50 of last month's promotion, that counted in for 900 euros..felt good too :)

But today, decided to fire up 6 tables of 100NL...and OMG...1 table sickened the fuck out of me...-$300 on that table , nothing went my way, every 3 bet pot i lost, didn't win any showdowns...TERRIBLE..and I donked some $150 too in between...

900 hands overall, -$270 and mainly because I coudn't focus properly on 6 tables due to heavy action on most of them and because of the damn table-from-hell .... pissed me off terribly although I didn't tilt much, I just had to quit following some pro advice and my own advice also... who knows what kind of tilt I would've ran into had I stayed longer

I'll chill for a bit , play the League on FTP then fire up this time 4 tables only to see where I'm standing, judging by the fact that only one table messed with me I guess I can't call it the start of a much feared downswing, so I'll embrace my donkiness and chalk it up as mORE donk play and try and get a nice profit tonite; we'll go for the ole' 4table/2hrs session that always seems to work well for me.

Shots gone wrong :)

Blog by : fbg1919

quick entry :

I've kinda toned it down a bit after playing 4tables and about 10k hands in 7 days at NL 100, finally had losing session (about 3BI) followed by a quick up and down session, which ended in about a 1/2BI +.
And then I decided to take a 1/2 shot...which went terribly wrong: -2.5BI ...AA ran into 444 for a BI, then 44 ran into AA vs a very aggro player (or so I thought , damn PT stats showed me a 30/24/inf when the dude was a regular at 1/2 but a 17/12/3 one...) for 3/4 BI when I tried to take a 3bet pot away on a 356r flop ..and then some more ownage postflop...

All that lead me to believe I'm definitelly not ready for 1/2 yet, mainly because of my BR (35BI at NL100) and because I have to have the BR backing me up to support my aggro 1/2 style which was so succesfull when 2 tabling 1/2 last summer.

All in all, had some great fun relaxing and playing some mtt's/qualifiers/sngs on Stars , which overall gave me the opportunity to build a roll again for sng's/mtt's on stars, from $50 to $600 . The most fun was in the 10FPP+R for this sunday's 2million TT, in which going all in every hand till you build a roll is very relieving of any bad energy and not to mention "good poker" :D (/sarcasm off).

Today I'm going to play a few more hands to see if I learned anythign from the tough hands I had the last days in my losing sessions in which being a CS at the river hurt me quite some (and of course my BR). If I fix that , shooting up the ranks should be easy baring no downswing occurs.

That's it for now , I will mention in my next entry some of the recently added pressure ..which surprisingly comes from my personal life...and that's the last thing I needed in my path to building a successfull BR and poker career.

Cheers :)

A new step on the poker skills ladder

Blog by : fbg1919
0

So after 9 days of February and 5 effective days of NL play combined with SNGing (new word :D) on Stars, I've played 6k hands at 100NL while multi 4/5 tbling and playing 1-2 2/4LHE tables for grinding the MPP's down. good results so far but being the damn perfectionist I've always been (not that this is very positive for me) I'm not fully content.

Why ? Because instead of being up $1k in NL and down 40 big bets in limit, I could be up $1500+ in NL and prolly 20-30BB in limit. how come? Well I'll tell you in a second ... DUMB moves(calls especially) in specific OBVIOUS WB situations (way behind). Ok , you could probably find arguments for not folding but trust me, folding is better in most of those spots.

At the end of this entry I'll gladly put these hands here for all to see and for me to ponder upon when I will ask myself why I don't have a 200NL BR by mid March...(yes that is my goal among others).

I don't know if this is due to lack of concentration or , maybe, due to TOO much concentration ( I tend to over work myself to pay a hell lot of attn when playing 4-6 tables to pick up 1,2 or any reads for that matter even when multitabling), but I have these moments where my judgement says "Fold, his play makes sense and you're way behind or somewhat behind but no chance of improving" and somewhat my god **** finger still finds the stupid call button.

Anyhow, you get the point, and it's obvious that this IS actually one of my biggest leaks for my winrate. And i have those words, from the very well written WR article on the forums, right in front of my eyes every time I make a bad play like this.

In other news, my friend is going through some tough times with his poker life and I'm clueless as to what to do to help him since we're kinda far from each other and being on Skype alone doesn't help much since he is about as stubborn as I am (though I think I've learned a lot in the past months and deal with BRM and tilt a lot better now - well see when downswong comes). I feel terrible seeing him lose every all in where he is way in front or see him miss most of his huge draws , or getting rivered every time he has the nutz on flop/turn etc... god forbid what would've happened to my BR if those bad plays I've mentioned had happen during a bad downswing in my poker game.... ...

In other news, I play SNG's like a god and run veyr hot latelly so I will try some MTT's these days too, maybe I can hit some miracle pot of gold at the end of a newly foudn rainbow...

As mentioned, here are the hands that I absolutely hate when I reviewed my PT sessions and I'm still amazed at the level of dumbness I can reach in those moments :

www.pokerhand.org/ villain in this is a LAP donk 40/5/1

www.pokerhand.org/ villain in this is a good TAG regular from 50NL that I know well and was a bit drunk that nite

www.pokerhand.org/ villain in this hand is a Tigth Pas random dude with 1 AF on all streets

www.pokerhand.org/ villain in this hand JUST SAT AT THE DAMN TABLE !!!!!!!!!

www.pokerhand.org/ villain in this hand is a very good 100NL regular, TAG sometimes LAG that I have respect for

www.pokerhand.org/ villain here is known to me from 200NL veyr good aggro regular, wtf I HAZ TOP PAIR !!!!!

www.pokerhand.org/ villain here is a passive loose CS monkey ..way to spew.... mr Hero...

www.pokerhand.org/ and last villain here is a total passive nit, 9/5/1 who I hd some history just a few hands earlier on that table and sees me as a LAG monkey .... I HAS KK .... DAMN TARD THINK HE CAN MAKE ME FOLD KK ?? I TRAP-RAAAAAISEEE JOOO !!!

OH YA almost forgot to add this one...silly me.... INSTA CALLLL : www.pokerhand.org/

Blog revival :)

Blog by : fbg1919

Yes yes I know, consistency is key and so is balance.. well, the past week I had quite a few to write about but didn't feel llike it. I had quite a few things happen in between the 26th and 4th of Feb, so I'll sum it up the best I can.

January ended up not so great as far as poker, I broke even for the month in 50NL, 100NL FR and 2/4LHE across 29k hands. I almost reached my goal of playing 30k hands over the month but I guess a bad schedule and bad time management along with my new challenge of multitabling 6 to 8 tables had something to do with the end results. A lot of this shitty result had to do with a few sessions during January where I either played like a monkey or was too tired to asses situations properly and thus tilting/'playing bad as a result. The biggest losing session came right on the last day of the month, it was a -$510 day...eeckk....

How'd that happen ? Easy: I 4-6 tabled 50NL and had some huge variance swings, going from +$160 to -$200 to ending in -$130. Then I 4 tabled NL100 FR while also playing two tables of 2/4 Limit to finish my MPP race for getting the $500 bonus from Crypto. (needless to say I felt like shit when I cleared the bonus - which also ended my play for the day/week- knowing I've lost $10 more than the bonus amount I was going for in 1 day.) Well 100NL started off quite "nice", after 30min into the session on four boring tables with no action these two hands came one after another, on same table, thus me steaming across the board including some sick coolers on the river on the limit tables :
www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ End result : -$285 at NL, -$95 at Limit..

I then procedeed in taking the weekend of from cash game play, did a few tournaments , got a lot of sleep in, some reviewing of the PT , some video watching, browsing forums, going out , bowling watching some movies, eating good...all that weekend fun stuff. January was up after all though , due to being +$160 at 50NL, the $500 bonus and some hefty rakeback..ended up bout $800 plus and some great experience and lots learned regarding game selection, tilt and BRM.

Anyway, the whole last week of Jan. was kinda grim with the exception of two finer moments in my poker schedule : winning the last event of the Cardrunners MTT League and on Saturday qualifying my good poker bud for a $1700 (1100 euros) buy-in Live event he's been wanting to play in, for a total package of $2100.

The CR MTT league win brought though the most enjoyment I had in a while from poker since this was such a good field of players with some really good and some really bad but overall a tough-ish turney. I've played in two leagues so far from CR, one in the past summer at Pokerstars where I think I came in top 10, and this past one, staying every Tuesday up till 4:30AM to just play in these. Finally my dedication paid off and on the 29th I won it fair and square, with some sucking out during the FT, but taking out 2 CR Pros in the process, namely SixPeppers (actionDJ on FTP) and none other than Andrew Wiggins (yawningboy on FTP) at the HU match, started being a 3:1 underdog in chips (my 39k to his 119k).

Best hand during that HU match came after I doubled up with JJ in a sick good run , JJ holding up against AJ on a AKJ board. www.pokerhand.org/ This next hand was fun and by Andrew's comment "wow wtf ?? " when I shoved river I assume he might want to know what I held although I don't think it's that hard (p.s. I don't think he had a K there, like he said before he folded, because I definetelly think a K is a call there given the odds): www.pokerhand.org/. The whole thing ended up a lil later, when my A9o held up against his QTo. Thank you CR and Jeff , that was a lot of fun :)

As far as the qualifier for my friend, it was a 110 Euro entry freezeout, 3k chips to start and 20min levels, I was playing on my friend's account since he was out on a mandatory presence. It went ok at the beginning, but I crippled to around 1600 in chips with 50/100 blinds and then just push boted the whole way to the FT , never being called (somewhat easy field cause all the good tough players were on the other table at first and 80% busted there) and finally doubling up form 3500 to 7200 in one hand in BvB war. From there on I hat it kinda easy, knocking out 2 of the 8 remaining at that time on the FT, and entered the 3 way bubble time with CL to my left, 39k, a LAGtard to my right with 15k and me in the middle with 18k. Took 1and1/2 hours before the CL busted the lagtard with TT holding against A4o and boom baby :) .

This month I started on a new schedule and some different goals : I moved to 100NL with 30BI, a new bonus to clear for February and with some very nice MTT's/qualifiers to look forward to. Basically I either have to clear 25k points during February AND March to qualify for the Bi-yearly Riga Freezeout package that Betsafe started running last year, or clear 7500 points the same period of time to qualify into a smaller MTT satellite for the same package. On a side note this is a dear challenge to me since both events held last year (albeit the fields were the same, about 50 each time, the buying has doubled this year, from $500 to $1000) were won outright by my friend (the same one I mentioned above) and this is now a pride matter to step up and challenge the champion :)

Other great MTT's are going to take place during this period of 60 days and some great satellites are to be won : Feb 14th , a 7k GTd with 1st being worht $4k - a trip for 2 for weekend to Paris - yummy , 100points(freeroll) buying, Feb 29th : leap year 30k gtd with added chips, buyin $109 4k to start and 15min blinds (rather deep if you're familiar with Crypto structures); March Maddness 200k Gtd on 0th of March , buyin $430 deep structure.

Other than that I found some excellent articles lately on CR and 2+2 , finally ordered the books I mentioned in January related to the psychology aspect of poker, starting working out today at the gym, refitted my schedule to rest better etc... Yesterday session had me quite to a good start, I 4 tabled only because I'm thinking of a new strategy since I think I can sustain a way better winrate 4 tabling: 4tbling from 3k to 5k, then 6tbling from 5k to 7k and then move up to 200NL.. hope it won't take longer than February and March... First Feb. session was in green as it shows below:

Some of the interesting hands were me winning some "easy" $$:www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ , losing some interesting hands and coolers: www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ www.pokerhand.org/ , and unexplicably donking off in a hand where I had seen the guy use the same pattern with QQ (nonetheless I think river, if not earlier, is a clear fold to that villain): www.pokerhand.org/ . On a side note, I'm still amazed of how I still have the temporarily losses of sanity and basic logic and still stack off to certain passive donks with TPGK (something I will completelly eradicate before I move to 200NL multitabling). Also , did you notice how he starts the hand with $97.50 and ends up stacking me off for $100 ? $2.50 bonus ? I guess must have something to do with reloading to $100 while he was dealt the hand? I dunno...weird though...

Ok, I much appreciated if you got all the way to here and props to you for showing such patience :) Thank you and will be updating this a lot more often :) Cheers...

Poker and life

Blog by : fbg1919

Sorry for the delay for those interested in my blog, but I had a weird time the past days and I think my "dedication" got to me; to better explain, please think of all those blogs/thread where people claim they have the obsesive personality and can't get away from the PC/poker in itself, for hours - heck - even days on end... well that's me too...

For the first 3 weeks in Jan and almost the whole month of December I did that and it finally caught up to me....dead tired the past days, unwanting to play and put in even 1 hr a day etc..the days I played ..well, they sucked..up down didn't matter too much, I just didn't feel like playing or focusing on the game..

I ended up doing basically nothing, just hanging, went outside for just a little bit, etc.. (glad it''s worming up can't wait to go for bike runs which is something I've been wanting to for a long time now to get back in shape).. and eventually a down swing came too , in the form of some BI minus on this euro site that has/had a lot of fish and where me and my friend did some ravaging :) and also on Crypto where I normally grind, nothing wouldn't play out, or coolers at the end are there...

Truth be told, it's not a real downswing but it felt like one mostly psychologically and I don't even wanna think about how I would be if it were a real 10-20 BI downswing...yuck...*chills up my spine*...

...anyhow what I think I tried my best to do, was to enable a tilt / mood control at the tables, even in the worse situations possible...at first I sucked at it but I'll show you the hands and telling you that I had some beef with the villain (who actually is the biggest loser on that site and everyone knows it) you'll prolly understand.

this came first : www.pokerhand.org/

and tilted teh fuck out of me, the second came a few hands later...and that really blew me away :

www.pokerhand.org/

Well after that episode I said fuck it, enough with this time killing at this site where there are barely 2 tables at any given time and decent action, and decided to withdraw it all and focus on my grind at BS, after all I DO want to get to 200NL multitabling by summer ... and that will happen... even if it means I go bold/blind and develop lung problems...(yeah I do smoke, can you imagine the drama ? :) )

SOOOOO......finally..I took some time off the last 2 days, didnt play a single hand of poker, watched the great tennis matches at the Australian Open (dreaming about spring for some tennis soon ) yada yada, played some PC games (oldies but goldies) got out for some fresh air etc... and today BOOM:

I realized that the minuses all come from this hard schedule that I imposed on my body and mind...and yah, surprise... I can't cope with it.... DUHHH...so I felt eager and able at about 8pm and fired up 6 tables 50NL, put in 1700 hands and felt really good about my play although it was most of it ABC with just some 3bet/4bet spunk /bluffs at the end of the session and came out -$23.50...half BI...hadn't been for two of the last hands where I gave back $30 and respectivelly $56, I would've been up about $60, so the actual loss is not very realistic.

And then some more after a 1/2 hr break, some 700 hands for about 1.5hrs at 6tables of 100NL FR...bingo...+$310 :) Yah that sums it up for this great day and frankly, I needed one of these days. Not necesarily for my BR but for my game and especially for the mindset.

Reminder: amazon the 3 books I always wanted to read and never got around to it: Psychology of Poker, The poker mindset and Tommy Angelo's book. Everyone has rave reviews of the last 2 and needless to say , everyone knows how good the 1st one is.

Now for some pokah... here are some interesting and some of the big winners, a few will be up for discussion on the forums and also in my group forums:

first , the most fun hand of the nite, I almost fell out of my chair at this guy's call :

www.pokerhand.org/

don't like this one too much, but against this specific villain with a lot of history, I think it's only unfortunate he had jack shit:

www.pokerhand.org/

when you start bluffin a donkey, you should finish what you started : www.pokerhand.org/

also, don't c/r super drawy boards against TAG villains that raise UTG .... zero credit.. : www.pokerhand.org/

again, std against nits ..this is almost ALWAYS with this villain 55 or KJs, and some chance AKo, after all ..she is a 10/6/2 over 3k hands....... www.pokerhand.org/

one of the funny hands of the nite, this guy sat not too long ago, only had about 75 hands on him, but he seemed to have some nice betting patterns and I caught up a lil too late in this pot (ended up getting bout $50 off of him b4 he left)..what is important in this hand is his WTSD ..which was 3 !!! at the time, yes 3%..why ? cause he was always minbetting with draws...Duhh.. so I said "check, heck he don't chase, lets exercise pot control" ..riiiiight....www.pokerhand.org/

free $$ from me...I actually thought long and hard and decided draws are a good portion of his range there, fairly new at the table and been donking it off quite often..so I call....wroooong...I need a 2 outer... www.pokerhand.org/

and, the daily 50NL specials.... one at the begining of this session , the later at the end of the session:

in first one I knew villain in SB fairly well, and knew he was a chasing uber donk, so I didn't give him much credit on either street, so on turn I shoved with the intention of getting some money back since I was pretty much committed but damn sure I was behind to the MP limper... wrong on both counts... what I really enjoyed though , came only 2hrs later, when I ended up with most of my oney back from the SB donkey and also, cleaned him out of his last $30 myself :)

www.pokerhand.org/

the second hand, this was a new villain at the tables (by new I mean I haven't seem him before) and ended up having some fun and deciding at the end of the session that he wasn't that great...

well we've been at each other quite often throughout the session , on several tables, lots of 3 betting, less 4 betting but some ocasionally, never gotten to a showdown with him either so I didn't really know where to put him , but I timed pretty well my own 3 bets, semi bluffs, c bet etc.. except for this last hand where I was actually on the heater on that table and needless to say heater ended with a BOOM, a misclick and $60 minus...after the flop call I knew he either has JJ or AJ and was mearly hoping that I can suckout by the river . Either way I was priced in on turn so shove was only natural (or so I think , please comment on this , I will add it on the forums) www.pokerhand.org/

Oh yah, this villain was playing around 25/20/4 or somethign along those lines, over some 600 hands.

Now those were all from 50NL, below I'll add some of the interesting hands from 100NL fr, where I definitelly got outplayed I think in some spots; not much history just pure hands :

villain brand new at the table, so I said fuck it , if he has set I can suckout by river.. (I did on turn, but wasn't necesary:)

www.pokerhand.org/

this is against a 24/1/1 guy , no results since it will be up for discussion: www.pokerhand.org/

unfortunate ? www.pokerhand.org/

Now, two hands both involving 99, in which I must admit I was kinda puzzled at their play , more details on forums.

Hand 1 I almost called, but I thought I can find a better spot although this screamed bluff to me, just couldn't put him on underpair or straight air, didn't feel rite: www.pokerhand.org/

Hand2 I had less reasons to call but again I think this is a strange line for the nutz, unless he had 89 or something...anyway I don't think I can call this river ever profitably: www.pokerhand.org/

Oh yeah almost forgot, one more for your pleasure, again I almost called but realized I don't beat much on the turn plus this was a 28/12/2 donk that can push the nutz there a lot and some air/semi bluffs/flush draws so I folded mumbling ( I prolly would've been a lot more eager to call if he had done this reraising stuff on the flop): www.pokerhand.org/

Ok , this is about it, I hope you didn't get too bored and hope you can tell I wasn't writing in a while :D

Cheers and felt the nutz more often :)

Yes indeed, 1500 hands today, up 6 buyins :) back on track, I followed my plan mentioned yesterday and got paid off easily today, I did choke a bit too to spite one player I kinda want to take all his monies past, present and future /evilgrin ...

Here's a cool graph for today :)

Some of the hot hands from today :

www.pokerhand.org/

www.pokerhand.org/

www.pokerhand.org/

www.pokerhand.org/ Nice suckout vs fish :)

www.pokerhand.org/

Now these are the hands with player mentioned earlier..god I hate this greek donk First few hands at the table, first encounter in this session with him :

www.pokerhand.org/

then the next encounter where I mistakenly (and foolishly) get overexcited with busting-his-ass ideea and call his river shove where I know for a fact he's shoving for value againts me and only me :

www.pokerhand.org/

And third and last encounter with him is where he gets the best of me..funny I haven't tilted one bit this session except maybe a couple minutes on the AA hand... the rest I said ok, np, move on etc...:

www.pokerhand.org/

No probelms though, I ended up 3 BI on that table though and ended the session with this :

www.pokerhand.org/

Looks like I'm working well and going up steady 9albeit some nice encounters/nice pockets) when I'm not donking off and getting out of line.. hmm I kind've remember now how it is at 25/50 :D

Cheers

EPT Dortmund baby :)

Blog by : fbg1919

Just wanted somethign spicy to this blog :) First a graph of my runnign kinda bad since the begginning of the year put I want to be pretty open with my results/thinking so I can really get better at poker since I love this game too much :)

Here's the graph :

On another note one of my good friends one of the only two friends that i'm constantly sitting in chat/voice with and sweating each other has just won a EPT Dortmund seat on Sunpoker(cryptologic) , 10k euros package tonite as I was playing my session. I can't be more happy for him since I know he was on big downswong and this is just the thing he needs to spice up his life a bit and stop leaving in fear of the mighty BR going down the drain. He will most likely not play at the event although it would be awesome , and will probably try to get the most part of it in cash , i'm not sure how much but whatever it will be it will be a nice addition to his ever degrading bankroll :) Congrats R34dy :D

Downswong alert....

So I put in today about 2k hands, 6 tbling50NL...started out nice, up like a couple buyins i think (I don't check cashier/PT during play) then on one of the tables..hell broke loose. I managed to loose 5BI overall on the last session after being up two in the previous session. how you may ask...well, I lost 4 1/2 buyins on a table that was full of regulars, amongst them 2 fish , 2 nits, and 1 ok player. I then managed to semi tilt myself for a couple more BI on 2 more tables, while I earned like 1.5 over the other tables..

On the table of doom :the ok player to my immediate left, the fish two spots further, and the nits to my right..nice setup :) Well, first it is 55 on an all flush board, x5x all diamonds, all in at river, he has AJdd for the flopped nuts. ok, shit happens.. next:

nit2 raises in C/O I call with TT OTb, flop xxT, cbet/call, turn J...cbet /raise/AI/call... he flips over JJ for turned set... sheesh....

Next: fish1 limps in UTG (like he always does with any2 ) I isolate him and the BB from SB with QJs, flop comes QJA with 2 hearts, I bet pot, he calls, turn ..K ..yuck / check /call 1/3 pot bet...river.. a brick...I check he shoves... ? May I add that he plays 45/2/2 over some 500 hands... I almost called (tilt combined with the shove weirdness) but I thought again that his shove was actually for value knowing that I can snap call there top 2/set or w/e due to the beats I've taken so far... anyhow I dont think I was ahead of his range there which may very well (from experience) include Jt/At/T9/KQ/KJ etc.. there...anyhow, I go "standard, I'll get you donkey" and move on bitching and chipping up on 2 other tables..

Heh, like I didn't know better , mrs. Variance comes again knocking this time though almost knocked my door down so to say...nit 2 raises in MP, I call with 22 in Sb. HU on flop, 2xx no draws no nada...check/call cbet. ...turn 6 puting a gutshot/str8 out there. I check again knowing he will most likely fire again if he holds somethign ok and knows I'm on monkey snap-call-yo-ass tilt...he shoves BINK !!!! I insta call but enjoy for a milisecond as the damn river brings in the Qof spades to givew him top set....

Needless to say now I really am tilting somewhat decent and fire up the "turbo mode" on ALL tables...in the process I make like 1.5BI in 2 rounds at all tables but still play semi maniacally on the SPANK ME table...couple minutes later I get JJ in the hijack, pump it up, fish2 calls from BB, (40/5/4) flop comes a "harmless" 3TA rainbow, he checks I cbet he insta raises to 4x...I forget all the basics and comon sense of good poker playing and end up snap calling 3 streets and getting a ticket to our dear Value Town when he flips over TT at river......

On the end of the session I bluff miserably a total CS when I raise PF in MP AThh, I get 3bet by the CS I call (??) and call a cbet on a xTx flop with two clubs and a str8 draw with intention of bluff raising his ass on any good turn (club/str8 card) Mrs variance complies and turn brings a nice club(non str8) he leads 1/3 pot I raise him AI for the rest of his sorrys ass $24 , he thinks for almost all the time and calls with KK no club...wtf ? Not rly I think deep down I knew I was getting called by anythign JJ+ club or not...

next session, tomorrow I intend to stack off to noone....unless they river me...no more bluffs unless I know 95% they fold etc, no more squeezes gone bad, and (serious part) a lot less cold calling 3bets...I dunno for some reason I think this is a big leak of mine , including pairs to mine for sets when I don't really have the odds to do it (100BB stacks, $50, cold calling 3bets ALL the time of 16BB I think it's -EV in the long run).

that's it for today , I can't stay up too late tonite (already 1:30am) since I got a lot of stuff to do in the AM . Hopefully mrs.Variance will be gone visiting my villain's by tomorrow so I can get some rest and recup on the 8BI i'm losing since the beginning of the year !

Cheers & nice rivers :)
