owning vegas

Blog by : facefirat

So i wanted to do a trial run to Vegas for a week or so to figure out if i wanted to move out here.I got myself a week long stay at some shit hole over by the hard rock, and here we are.I got into town last Friday night from l.a. and immediately starting grinding the incredibly soft 1-2 games that this town has.The problem with play in live in L.A., where I'm from is the fact that too play in a game that u can buy in for 100BB u have too play 5-10.Other than that its all short stack poker, which i hate.Plus the rake in LA will kill u.

So far with the action and player pool i have seen here in Vegas i believe i can be rolled deep for 2-5 in no time at all.I did take a shot at a little 2-5 the other night at the belagio but the game wasn't the right game and i quickly cashed out after a couple rounds. The action at 1-2 has been great though lots of tourists and business men giving money away faster than they can get it out of there pocket.

Last night at planet Hollywood i got into a game every poker player dreams about.4 fish giving money away with hands such as mid pair, opening too 70 pref lop on tilt, everything we dream of.I was able too capitalize on these donkaments and banged them for about 600 650.This brings my 5 day total playing 1-2 nl too a profit of 2100. hi mother fuck in ya donks.

My plan for moving out here is too split my time between live cash games and online grinding.I will be looking for a place here very soon and try too make the move as soon as possible. The action is just too good.

if anyone has a room for rent or knows of a place looking too fill a room pm me.

good first week

so for the new year i decide too move up a level too 100nl.This move was warranted seeing as with my bankroll, and the proggression of my game it was time.100nl has been good too me so far,had too adjust a bit at the beggining too the more aggressive regular.I think i have made this adjustment well, with more agression in my game.So far i am up almost 8 bi through 12k hands,so things are going pretty well.Hope i can keep up this pace, and be at 200nl in no time.I am strongly contemplating a move too las vegas though soon, have been or some time.Always a dream of mine too live in vegas.I do live in L.A. right now and the games are good here but the blind stuctures are fucked till u get too 5/10 and i think that will be some time. This is why i think a move too vegas will be good for me.Lots of small stakes donk games, cheap housing, and a chance to get together with some other grinders too improve my game.Overall i think it will be a great move for me,and even if it isnt, ill never have it in the back of my mind that i didnt try.

not bad,but not good

Blog by : facefirat

So i started to make my jump back too 100nl yesterday. The first day of this jouney was pretty break even type day.I would run up 2 bis, lose 2 back, and so on and so forth. Now today i felt like i was really gaining some traction, getiing up almost 4 bis, before all hell broke loose.I in no way played bad just ran into some really un fortunate situations, and bad beats.1st one was an pair of aa,where i 3bet pre and a big fish came along.Ace came down on flop (bingo) I checked because i had the deck crushed and i knew he would bet regarless, thats what he did.i called, turn came second club k.I I checked again planing too raise, everything went too plan he bet i shoved, he called with a naked fl draw and hit the river.Oh well thats what fish do,and thats what i want them too do.Im not going too go into the other hands,as i dont want this too be a rant.

Overall i am more than happy with my play and proggression latley.I do believe i am really coming around as a real player and a force at the tables.Ended the day up like 40 bux, It had so much promise though. So far my first 3600 hands at 100 im up about 75 dollars, which im not very happy wth but i cant be too mad.Made more in rake in that time frame,so thats always a plus.I have noticed that the 100 tables are really no differant than 50nl,just more money and a bit more aggression.Hopefully tommorow can be my big breakout day.It is sunday, and we all know the fish like too play on sunday. So thats all for now guys hope all my friends out there are playing and running well.

So tommorow is 2010, oh how the years fuckin fly by.I am probaly one of most who is really looking foward too the new year, and good things too come. The new year means a fresh start, fresh goals in life, and a clear outlook on things.

my poker this week has been red hot.I feel as i am not only red hot, but proggressing and playing the best poker i ever have.since this past sunday,9500 hands,I am up over 900 dollars at 50nl (907) too be exact. My bankroll is almost set too make my run at 100nl again.I could easyly take my shot today, but i want too have a deep br for 100nl this time.I believe a deep bankroll will give me a much better shot at succeeding. So until i run up another 1k i will grind at 50nl,where i feel i have been dominate of late.

new year coming and the goals for it

Blog by : facefirat

So the whole new year thing is giving me a fresh start on life, and what i can make of it.I am very positive on what this new year is going too bring for me,and my overall happyness with everything. This past year has been pretty ruff on me,But im not going too sit here and cry about it.I truly beliave in life what doesnt kill u makes u stronger.I know that is very generic but it is something i truly live by that saying.I just have a really good felling that 2010 is going too be the best year of my life.In 2010 i am going too live my way,and by my rules. Not trying too please others in my life , but truly make myself happy.

Thats where poker comes in.The last 3 months since i lost my job,a job that a fuckin hated by the way, and a job that never gave me any sense of accomplishment, and satisfaction.I have decided that i will give being a poker pro a real shot.I have been grinding a ton of hands over that time, and making real improvments too my game.I took a shot at 100 nl a couple weeks ago but failed mostly due too not being comfortable losing money.I took my shot using the 20 bi rule, but for me, this wasnt the best idea.I was talking too my coach shorly after i took this failed shot. he suggested i go with a 40 bi rule for the next shot so i really dont have too worry about money so much.I tottaly aggreed with him, so that is what i will do this next shot.So far i have recoup the loses i had at 100nl, through my normal game 50.I do have a bit of grinding too do too get too the 40 bi level, but it will come in due time. This will also give me even more hands in which too improve.so i think its a win win.

So this years goals are fairly simple and staight foward. I dontwant too set them too high and add pressure too my life.Pressure is really something i beliave can break a man down, and not really something that i want in my life.

goal 1=since i love too play this game and want too get better and make as much money as possible my first goal this year is too play atleast 555,000k hands this year

goal 2=become a 200nl reg that takes shots at 400 nl

goal 3=spend atleast 1 month of this year in vegas playing both live and online

goal 4= make 50k playing poker

I will keep the goals at that for right now, i think that is a good start.I know this isnt going too be easy or anything but i truly believe i can accomplish these goals and more.

5300 hand session

Blog by : facefirat

So in going too keep this short because i am fuckin tired, but i just put in a monster 5300 hand session.I think overall my play was really good.I wanted too put in some major hands today, so that i can improve, and move up in limits as soon as posssible.I am really happy with my urge too improve, and put in as much volume as possible lately , because that is how i can make the most money.Overall i am very happy with my proggression in hand reading and overall game.
The final results of this monster session were positive 3 and a half bi s, so it was good too win money also.I off too get some sleep and get back too it tonight.Im looking foward too playing the mini main ftops event tommorow. hopefully the card gods can bless me with a whole bunch of run good.

First i would like too take the time too give a shot out too big Mike Zennario.(Elzino)He will be making his first featured cr video soon. I am so happy for my boy mike, because he deservs this.He has helped me so much improve my game and plugg the many leaks i had, and am still working on.I truly believe mike has a wealth of poker knowhow that he is very good at articulating. His videos will be a great offering too this website and its members. I cant wait too see the finished product, and know it is going too be top knotch.

Now i will give a quick update on my play, and my shot at 100nl.IT didnt go so well, but i dont think i played badly after a hh reveiw.I was just gettin pretty unlucky with a few beats and a few coolers.Mabey a few bad plays but no bad stack offs or anything. So for now i will go back to 50nl,get 10 bi back, and get back up there.Oh and xxpanchoxx did help me for a good session at 100nl ty too him for that definatly.

taking shot at 100

Blog by : facefirat

so i am taking my first shot at 100 nl the last 2 days.and things ahve started slow.I feel i have played my A game about 90 percent of this shot with mabey 2 or 3 mistakes in my first 2k hands.I am struggling too find momentum in this shot im taking. I seem too win a nice pot and then lose a big one mostly too coolers and bbad beats.I have set my stop loss at this shot too 5 buy ins.I am down 3 and a half. So tommorow in my next session it is pretty much make or break time for 100nl for now. If the next session goes badly i will go back too 50 grind 10 bis back,
and get right back after them.

goood luck too everyone im not in pot with, Chris

I have been playing poker for some time now, but recently things got a bit more serious for me.I lost my job but i think in the long run this will be the best thing that has ever happened too me. I geuss that most people would consider that strange but for me playing poker for a living has always been my real dream in life. Not saying that i am making enogh money at this game at this point too really call it a living, but now i am truly focused on acheiving my true dream in life.(this game we call poker)
