I know it's been two years. What can I say? This blog is officially closed. However, I have an appeal to the worldwide CardRunners audience.
I'm now a first year MBA student at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I'm in a class called "Building Internet Startups" taught by Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell, aka, the guys behind GroupOn (minus Andrew Mason.)
Our midterm is literally a short-term assignment to create as much value as possible in just a few days. We went through a couple different business proposals and pivots, but have settled on running a 90 minute poker clinic in Downtown Chicago @ Gleacher center. The clinic is taught by myself and WSOP Bracelet Winner David Daneshgar, who is just an absolute tourney beast. Instruction will span from fairly novice to more intermediate, but it should be a good time had by all.
The details are all on SkillShare - http://bit.ly/chipoker
This Wednesday - 2/15/2012 Tickets are $20. All money goes to charity and Google is matching donations 100%, so $20=$40. We love you Google!!! And we love SkillShare too for waiving all fees!!!
I need anyone in Chicago who can come and help us out, either by attending, donating, etc to get involved. If you want to help co-teach, we'd love to have you on board as well. Feel free to shoot me any emails at EGalston @ ChicagoBooth [dot] edu.
Love you all, Ezra
