Its finally starting to really hit me that Im going to be leaving for Vegas in 3 days. I do have to work today, sat, and sunday though; however, Ive pretty much already checked out mentally. Since my Dad and his wife are gonna fly out there for a couple of days I thought it would be cool to go see a show. He is a huge music fan, so I purchased 3 tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show "Love". The show incoporates most of the Beatles music. Ive heard some really good things about it so Im hoping the show turns out to be as good as the ticket prices suggest. Im planning on playing a round or two of golf while out there. Im thinking of playing "the falls". If anyone has suggestions on where to play shoot me a message.

Im pretty much planning on spending the next 3days finishing up errands, packing, getting haircut etc... Im taking my GF, little girl, mother, and sister to see Kung Fu Panda at the IMAX tonight.. It should be a fun time. Well i gotta get back to work so I will talk at you guys later.

Work beat

So last Thursday I was informed that I was going to be dropping a tier on my commission payout. Since Ive hit the top sales yeild level I am supposed to recieve 20% of my total revenue. My total rev for the month was $20,381.74, so I was supposed to get a $4,076.35 commission check; however, I was dropped to 18% and will now only get $3,669.25. I basically had $407 taken out of my pocket. I know that with my $1200/mo salary + commission Im not going to starve or be unable to pay the bills, but its frustrating to work so hard for something and then have a piece of it taken away. I truly believe that the reason for the drop is absurd, but its totally out of my hands so I will just have to suck it up. This just means that Im going to crush the sales that much harder this next month. Maybe I can hit my record from two months ago of $30,150.00 which equated to a nice 6k commission. I will just have to wait and see.

The time is now....

Im going to be heading out for my first trip ever to Vegas in the next 10 days, so I decided what better time to start a blog. Dont know if this will ever get read by anbody, but what the hey.

A quick intro on myself. Im currently 25 and living in Tampa, FL. I work a ful time sales job at a car rental agency. I make a very generous income from this. This in part has caused me to put my degree in Accounting on hold. Hopefully I will get motivated again to finish it.

I am an absolute nut for Tampa Bay sports. My friends and I are truly at the top of the Buccaneer fan chain.Im hoping they can continue their play from last year and make another run into the playoffs. Its very satisfying to finally see the Rays start to reach a level of play where they can contend in the strong AL East. Yesterday was a sad day as the LIghtning fired head coach John Tortello. He was a solid coach and replacing him will not be easy. As far as college goes Ive been a lifetime Gator fan and have always supported the home town Bulls. Also big fan of Magic basketball. Just hope they dont let Dwight Howard go....like they did Shaq. And really any team in Florida I will root for.

Im big into music, salt water aquariums, and oh yea....poker. More to come on the my other hobbies. As far as poker goes. Ive been playing since late 2004. Started with the $2 FL at the local Indian casino and $5-10 home tourines. Decided to give online a shot. Played mostly micro cash and stts. Would take off whatever cash I won and never concerned myself with BR building. In late 2005 I started to play 50max nl online. Did fairly well over decent sample size, but still didnt take building BR seriously. I would just use the extra dough for spending/ bills etc. I would say I started to get serious about LEARING the game in 2006. I took down a $100 tourney and chopped a $50 rebuy at my local casino. I then vowed that this was going to be my money for poker. If I lost it I would be done. I havnt looked back since. Florida finally got nl cash games going in July 2007. Ive been crushing these since. Ive been a winner at 100max nl over large sample size since then as well. Now Im mostly playing $2/5nl Live and 4 tabling 100max online. I play the occasional stt and mtt. Just recently had a very nice score on bodog in a sunday mtt.

Im going to Vegas from the 16th-26th. This may be extended should I make a nice cash out there. Im going to be def playing in Event #36($1500nl) and will be playing up to 3 others. I def want to check out the Venetian Deep stacks/ Cesears Mega Stacks tournies while there. I while of course be also grinding some cash out there too. This is getting a little long, so I while be back soon with updates..
