Hey,

I did it! 3 people didn't show up for the game and all i had to do was wait for 1 person to get out to make it official and i didnt have to wait long.

So it feels great and i can't wait for the end of Jan for it all to happen. I finished the league with 165 points and 2nd only had 148 points i didnt even need to play last game i already had 151 points.

Not much to say about the game but i will definitely be doing this league again next year I cant wait to dominate again!

Coaching
Well had my first session with Kush my tables were a bit boring :( so didnt get into many spots but with Kush on Mikogo and Skype he quickly pointed out a couple of things

The lesson was delayed mainly because i was trying to use Skype with the Mikogo add on which didn't really work so i had to quickly download Mikogo itself and set up.

Overall the lesson was great and anyone who needs a coach for full ring Kush is definitely recommended

I can't wait to work with Kush more and I have another lesson soon.

Another thing after 30k hands things are starting to be more positive starting to have some winning session but haven't had time to put in any decent volume which is one of goals

One game left
Next Saturday is the very last game of our league i can't wait!
I am 18 points ahead of 2nd place and for me to secure a ticket i need to survive the next game for 18th place if i do this i will be playing Aussie Millions 2010 no matter what happens with the others the only way i can lose my main event seat is i need to finish before 18th and the next 3 who are 2nd, 3rd and 4th have to come in the top 3 so what are the chances?
Very low and my worst finish is 16th so i will let you know next week.

Grinding
Blah, so bad i am down 5 buyins after 31k hands :( i am just finding it so hard right now but when i drop down real quick everything is too easy. I am finding it hard to put any significant volume in or play consecutive days just so brutal right now losing almost every session i hope it turns around really soon the last time it was like this it when on for about 40k hands.

I guess its good timing i am getting Kush who has done a few videos on cardrunners as a coach my lessons start Thursday i can't wait to learn from him especially during this period ill let you know how the lessons go

Aussie Mils - i am the only player to score double digits in every game so far i have a 17 point lead on 2nd and still a 20 point lead on 2nd so pretty much it is still a game in hand with 2 games to go. I cant freakin wait by November 27th i could declare a Aussie Mils ME seat fingers crossed

I didnt play to great i extracted a a lot of value on my good hands but on one hand i thought i had the best and and the guy was sweating with the 2nd nuts hmmm that kinda pissed me off
It was a limped pot i was on the button with 22 4 way pot flop comes AcQh9c checked around turn brings a 2c the HJ who i haven't played with much bets a little over half pot i decide at this point he either has a small flush which is rare because i saw some hands he played and he would lead draws so he might have KQ, QJ something like that dont forget we are playing live they dont raise unless they are really strong so i am thinking just something marginal im not to sure what he will do with 99 which is prob the top of his range on this board but he didnt bet the flop with a pretty wet board? it was weird overall
So i min raise coz i didnt want to blow him away from his gay hands and the two players on my left started talking about their hands after the fold so i picked up club blah blah guessing the K of clubs should i disclose this info if i over heard? So this got me really thinking what does this guy have? he calls my minraise i am thinking ok i got you just dont bring a club river a blank and i make a half pot bet coz he will prob pay me off with his marginal hand he goes this is sick my jaw literally dropped i was like wtf? he does have 99 he tanks and calls he has the QcTc i was like are you freakin serious in my head and when i saw his hand i guess he thought he was going to C/R me since i my steal the pot in position

Update - i made iron man which is a big achievement for myself played over 21000 hands and won over $2500 for the month which was due to running good but i hope my downswing wont be too bad last month was just great.
So my roll is just under $6300 and i am going to continue playing 100NL till prob end of December i want to put some serious hours in after my exams and hopefully play 200NL by January

Also i am getting a coach Kush whos done a few videos i just want to fix some of my leaks and i just really want to learn i want to learn all the things i miss when i watch a video. If it works out well i wouldnt mind ahving Kush as a long term coach who can help me with higher stakes but will just see after my first package

Uni - well i got finals next week really gay schedule I have 2 exams on Monday 9am-12pm and 6pm-9am other than that i am really stressed about it hopefully ill put some good study sessions in

I came 9th which is a good result

Morris whos coming second closed the gap to only 14 points difference between us which is fine as top 3 get tickets and 3rd place i have a 30 point lead now. With 3 more games left with the next in two week I am pumped and ready to take me Aussie Millions Main Event ticket down.

I am just waiting to declare my ticket just need a good finish next match and it could possible get one depending on how the next 6 players go

During the game nothing really interesting but i had a calling station on my left so it was hard to steal every time even though he would call in certain spots he would give me lots of credit.

Funny thing is the two on my left started realising i love playing my button i just seemed to raise it every time but the good thing was at showdown i had monsters so it was good but they were still very curious about it all

Other things

Well uni is okay got some work to do and exams are right around the corner but i cant wait for it all to be finished for the semester just so i can do some serious grinding

Poker

My bankroll is growing i am now at $4500 playing 100NL not getting near as many hands i would like i got in probably 16000 hands last month which is very low volume

I plan to get a coach as i will have tonnes of free time after my exams so really looking into improving my game which i hope will bring my best game possible for the aussie millions

Okay i suck at blogging as you can tell i haven't done this since April.
Aussie Millions League has gone very well i took the lead in game 4 and haven't slowed down since. i am just leaving my competition behind so my results after game 6 is just huge and very unexpected from my competitors i would say. Pretty much i need to get out first in game 7 and 2nd place must win and we pretty much tie for 1st or i might be slightly in front don't forget top 3 get a main event seat oh yeah and 3rd place well i need to get out first int he next 2 games for them to overtake me around that mark. 4 more games left looking for a good result in game 7 and hopefully i will be able to g'tee a seat looking very promising right now.

Why do i think i am doing so well in the league?
First of all i play tight and ever since i took the lead i play freakin tight.
Second my opponents first are way too loose and very unbalanced which makes them predictable
Third i am super patient
Forth well i have been running good and i guess it is fortunate that i was able to get deep and take such a commanding lead from everyone but this has altered my strategy right now i am trying to maximise my position and pull away from people who could threaten me
Fifth don't think i really have anything else except for i wonder if my opponents realise why i am doing well? i am very sure some of them realise i might be the tightest or one of but do they realise why?

My game plan is to get as deep as possible and definitely cement my lead asap i want to experiment and loosen up a bit once i can comfortable say i have a ticket. For now i will be playing freakin tight and it reminds me of Taylors latest video about live tourneys and these guys just keep giving me chips.

My bankroll i have had a 20k break even stretch but the good part is my bankroll is almost 2700 so time to move up very soon.
I got a new computer with a 30" monitor it is just the nuts makes grinding very comfortable

Goals:
Play 10k hands a week
Wake up when my alarm goes off
Get my uni work done
Get deep in the next aussie mils game

One more thing i plan to go to South Korea in December so i pretty much want to g'tee myself a seat so i can leave for Korea in early December last game is in December which i am hoping to miss so i can enjoy my holidays relax, enjoy my time with my friends no poker then come back and prepare for Aussie Millions

I haven't blogged in a while and it is all to do with losing. Started of the month I just kept on losing for that week either got sucked out or just running into a bigger hand. Also did some dumb things which I guess is normal when you're losing. I started the month with 1800 and lost about 6.5 buy ins and got it all back plus a little bit more. I have just over $2k now which means I am going to be able to move up soon but not until another month at the very least because I have some exams coming up and I want to focus a bit more on them. I only put in about 5k worth of hands which is very small but hopefully with a bit more discipline and running good I will be putting a lot more volume. If I run bad though I expect it will be another low volume month.

For my league game I rocked up late due to some traffic and the formula one being on only 20mins in which is okay. I got things moving right away by making some good value bets and getting paid off each time I never got my money in bad until I got knocked out. I pretty much knew where everyone was in the hand and no one gave me any trouble for a while. Nothing really interesting came up for me I was just able to be a bull today and really thought I could win if not top 3 or something, I was never short stacked and just felt too comfortable. My best pairs were AA, JJ, TT, 55, 77, 33 I lost money on all pairs except AA where I reraised and he folded. I am going to ask a few people but I think I am rarely going to reraise with AA as long as I know not many people are going to come in the pot during later stages of the tournament because I had about 40k and only the chip leader had a little more than me on my table and with the blinds at 500-1000 ante 100 with plenty of 20k and shorter stakes around me it can't be that bad right? Well I am not sure but I will go ask some people

Final two tables my table 5 handed and the chip leader got moved to our table. Blinds are 500-1000 ante 100 chip leader starts off raising a lot of hands making it 5000 each time wow how stupid this reminds me everyone on my table was raising massive I was raising 2500 and it still did the same job and no one picked up on it? lol.

Back to 500-1000 ante 100 the chip leader Chris raising a tonne of pots and having the goods in most occasions but taking it down pre-flop. Folded to Chris OTB he raises 5k haha sb fold I am bb I look down at AcTc before I saw my hand I was something semi decent I am going to pump him. I ask him how much he has and looks to me about 50k with change I have about 40k I think about my raise size and I think I made a mistake on my size but I realize it didn't matter because he snap calls my reraise and then asks how much it is what the? I make it 14300, so he didn't really care about how much this raise was so I had him on something marginal like a middle to low pair maybe AQ, AJ I give him JJ at best but before I could analyse everything the board comes 8c7c3h I move all in he pretty much calls and he has 77 omg! Worst pre-flop call ever and he spikes a 2 outer which is the only thing that makes him call what else was he hoping for 654r after I was like he didn't even care about how much it was anyways he was just calling to see a 7 which is obviously bad.

Other than that I came 11th which is a decent result, I knew I played well even the AcTc hand if he didn't spike that 2 outer I would of taken a 30k pot and everyone was finished after maybe. I hope to get a good table next time and finish top 5 or so I don't really need to win but a win will make my situation a lot better.

Quick summery of everything first, 24 players AU$260 a month over 10 months includes flights accommodation, top 3 get main event valued at $10500, 4th-10th get a super satellite seat valued at $1150 around that and the rest get a sub satellite seat valued at $250. You keep 70% of your winnings and 30% gets divided into other players.

Structure is 15k stacks and blinds are almost like the aussie millions structure except we added 25-50 and 30min blinds

So I came 5th I got lucky twice, lost a crucial pot which crippled me, hardly played a big pot, didn't connect much found it tough in the beginning until the antes came in.

Natan isn't playing this year because he is going overseas to Europe and having surgery which g'tees him missing two games oh well. Natan was just telling me what people were like from his experience and one of my first responses was do people 3 bet pre and it was a no unless they have premiums.

So my first thought I am going to just play how I play online pretty much with the light 3 bets. How many times did I 3 bet? None very disappointing I had many opportunities to do it and when ire ally thought about doing it I turn a flush on board. The only thing that worked was exploiting limpers but I was very disappointed in my play for not 3 betting in position and sometimes in the SB or BB. When I saw most of these hands at showdown I just went I am an idiot a 3 bet would have worked. I mean 3 betting with marginal hands

So the start I had a loose table with 2 players on my right who were probably the tightest and more straightforward players and the two on my left omg probably the loosest. The very first hand I played 250-50 blinds I have 88 MP raise to 150 and called by SB Tara I don't have many reads as I haven't played with anyone before. Flop comes Q75r I was like this is mine she checks I bet she calls wtf? Turn a T check check river J check check I should of double barreled as the ten doesn't change much because I think she C/R a lot with top pair in these situation after my read. She showed my AK lol. My table couple things in common loose and check raise river with big hands but maybe only once I saw.

I get pretty good starting hands ill bring it in MP with KQ 4 callers bad flop no cbet but it's okay someone flopped a straight just more bs like that the only pot I remember taking down in the early parts of the game was when I raised J4s in CO BB called flop AKx I cbet and take it down now I am like finally normal poker.

I was down 2k until the antes came in at 100-200 - 25 ante so here and the next blind level 150 - 300 I just ran over the table pretty much only stealing though and the play was 6 handed I might of seen a flop a couple of times but other than that no one wanted to give me action which was frustrating when I picked up a decent hand so by the end I started changing people for 25 and 100 the best hand I got so far was AKo in the beginning and ATs during antes and small pairs. The next blind level 200-400 I only won 1 hand I couldn't stop seeing a 2 or 3 I had nothing to work with blinds were finally 300-600 and we were final 2 tables I think my stack needed work and I only had over 10k or so very disappointing my stack would definitely be bigger if I 3 bet. I stole some blinds didn't see a flop just kept me a live a few people got knocked out. Jonny was at my table but he was opposite me so he didn't give me hell. I got doubled up 7 handed I raise UTG+1 KsJc blinds 400-800 I made it 2100 BB defends with KcTh flop comes down all clubs and just by looking at him I know he has a big club so decided not to jam so the board is Qc7c3c turn comes K he leads about 2/3 I have about 10k and the only thing I was really worried about was a flush but in his range he would only have something like Jc8c stuff like that but I had the Jc but my read was Big club so I jammed he thinks and calls and I double up to 23k. just before this I knocked out one guy my only one he got crippled and he didn't even have 1 BB left I think just enough for a small he was in MP push his couple of chips in I looked down at A7s and jammed over the top of the rest so I pretty much free rolled and won.

Folded around to the button I had 97s good hand standard raise BB calls this player is very tight so I was like give me a something to work with JT8 lol he jams I insta call he has AJ he has a bit over half my stack turn Q river K lol I took it very good though and what a blow to my stack I thought I was over I grinded till I finally saw something connected I only had 4-5bb but it was my lucky hand 65 all in Jonny BB has to call he has K7o flop 67x river 6 double up. A couple hands later UTG I have 78s I was like damn it I get this now too good to pass I Jam about 15k got called by JJ 88x double me up

During this time I lost at least 6k and 6k to my stack is a lot. Blind vs. blind against Morris Jonny say this player is unpredictable his one of the older guys. But he won all 5 pot b vs. b I didn't connect in pot and whatever I tried to do he just double barreled or C/R me and one time I almost made a move on him he had JJ but he was connecting a tonne but wasn't sure on b vs. b.

Final table I have about 25k and a lot of work to do I won a lot without showdown I put my stack at risk a few times I 3 bet twice winning a decent size pot with 77 and AJs so I risk my chips now! My stack was quickly to about 35k and then the waiting game continues I was the only person that raised small a lot of people did a minimum 3x I pretty much raised just under the pot each time 7k in the pot I raise to 6500. I lost couple of post down to like 15k and kept on grinding nothing to work with jammed all in for 9k with KT 3.5 the blinds roughly Jonny calls 66 I win next hand A8s 5 handed I had over 20k now all in Jonny moves all in I am never racing here he has 99 out in 5th

Overall disappointed I didn't 3 bet as much as I should of I had JJ and KK with no action.

Looking forward to the next game just looking for a solid finish and a win would be nice
