I just finished up a session of rush poker, that game is crazy addictive and with my addictive personality im not sure how im going to go back to normal 6 max.

Played 4 tables for 80 minutes and got in just over 1500 hands.

I was even until this monster pot happend. Dont like his play with QQ, i would call the 4bet and try hit the set.
Im never calling a 5bet shove with JJ or Ak.

I'm off to a good start in November, and am hitting a ton of big hands which is nice after a bad few months. I guess variance does even out in the long run.

www.pokerhand.org/- This is a pretty unusual spot for me, opener was obviously pretty tight, and i wanted to re iso the fish, once I get 4bet, i know I'm pretty much crushed by his range. Sometimes he can have QQ, but even then its a flip. So i decide to pitch it which I'm happy about.


www.pokerhand.org/- this was a complete miss read, i was focusing on a hand on another table and thought that trisstyle had called and only had $30 in his stack. I dunno how i thought that. But guess i need to pay attention. This player was more aggro, but if i knew it was a cold 4bet i think i would of found a fold here. I'm not involve with Ak like i used to be.


www.pokerhand.org/ - here i dunno if i should of folded to min raise, i opted to call and try and Bink the nut flush. Thought he was bad enough to pay me off it i hit. And getting like 5:1.

www.pokerhand.org/- I'm not sure if i could of played this any differently. I know his limp calling range includes a ton of suited cards, expected him to raise turn some amount with a flush. If i check on river, he is most likely shoving his flushes and checking behind all his one pair hands that also had the FD. I'm not to worried about the higher straight, so thought his range was two pairs, sets as i see fish limp call low pp. So i decided to bet river to squeeze value out of these hands, it does suck when he raises me but don't think i can fold with those odds, given he can prob ship sets two pairs etc etc.

www.pokerhand.org/- I took a different line in this spot, my usual is just to cbet to collect dead money. Here i decide to check back and hit a pretty good card. The turn is where it gets interesting, i thought he would lead nearly his entire range here as it looked like i was just giving up on the pot on the flop, I put in a raise which is pretty small. I river the nuts and the rest is history, i don't think i would be check raising this river with Aq.


www.pokerhand.org/ - Deep hand where i flat on a relatively drawy flop, i dunno what range he puts me on the turn. But I raise big as want to get stacks in by river and before another spade peels off and he shuts down. Guess he thought i would raise flop with set. Happy with how i played this.

October turned out to be a good month for me and i feel like I'm back on track, after a rough few months it was a relief to play & run well. First month in the last 5 that i have ran above EV. And i wasn't running into top of peoples ranges every hand.

I finished up around 15 buy ins over 10k hands, which is obviously a tiny sample. Hopefully i will be able to get in 20k hands this month and move back to 100nl, currently need around 12 buy ins.

November started well for me, I played 2200 hands yesterday and finished up 5 buy ins. It is safe to say I ran pretty hot as i hit a two outer with an over pair v a flopped set, and stacked someone with set over set.


I will try and post more hands in the blogs as have been pretty lazy lately, which is evident by only putting in 10k hands. I do think i was a lot more focused while playing which would of impacted the winrate significantly.

This is my graph for the last 3 months, i have no idea what i have done to run so bad. Obviously i have played bad at times, but it would be next to impossible not to play bad when running so terrible. I have taken long brakes, watched tons of vids on 3 different training sites- reviewed hands. Read and studied but every time i come back i still end up getting sucked out on.

Here is a hand from my first session back that sums everything up. I have lost all confidence in the game and dont enjoy paying cause i just cant seem to win no matter what i do.

So i have just shattered all my previous records for down swings-

I am down 30 @ 100nl over 53,000 hands while playing around 18/14. (13 buy ins bellow ev).
I am down 6 buy ins at 50nl over 7,500 hands while playing 19/14 (6 buy ins below ev)

That means im on a total down swing of 36 buy ins while running 19 buy ins below ev- This doesnt account
for all the times i seem to hit top of peoples ranges.

This game is pretty sick at times- I cant believe how some players can win 23/25 sessions etc. I dont under stand
how u manage not to get coolerd. I seem to get coolerd and set up at last twice a session for stacks. Here is a few just form the last two sessions i played at 50nl.

So i set a goal of playing 1500 hands last night after work and ended up playing like 1490, im happy with that. I have no idea how i did overall but think i finished in the green. I had to check my results halfway through the session as i thought i was getting close to my stop loss but wasnt quite there.

www.pokerhand.org/- I have been experementing with check riasing the turn, i think alot of players are floating so many flops, with bottom pairs, middle pairs, Gutters and just overcards. This guy was pretty agressive so i thought he would fire the turn with a massive range- which he did, i think I should of made my check riase a little bit bigger?? On the river, i think this is a fold. I didnt no how many 7s were in his range, only i guess 67 & 78. I guess the bet sizing shuld of given it away cause it looked like value- Although i kind of talked myself into calling cause he was agro and i thought he was capeable of turning a one pair hand into a bluff.

I thought he could be doing it with Flush draws, pure air (he was agro) and maybe even some small pocket pairs. I did decide to flat this time and hit gin on the turn, im obviously never folding this as i have the nuts apart from 3s and 4s, which is also a small part of his range- When i start running well again i will be able to doge the 9 outs.

- i dont slow play often, but this time it worked out. I figured if either of them had a king they would prob riase me on the turn or river any way, plus i give them a chance to hit something. Lucky for me this guy hits a boat on the river and i stack him.

I am having a prob bet so that i can become less results orentated which should be massively + ev for my game. Im not going to be checking cashier or the results tab in holdem manager. The only time i will check is if i think im getting close to my stop loss.

I have just finsihed my first session and i was extremly happy with the way i played, i was alot more focused on the games and found my concentration alot higher.

I played just under 600 hands at around 19/15/3. After moving back down from 100nl its surprising the amount of differnce in the games, 50nl obviously has alot more fish and the players tend to be more passive. Its alot easier to extract value.

www.pokerhand.org/- I was a bit confused at the time of this, but didnt think he would pot the flopped full or insta pot the turn with the flush, + i have the nut flush re draw- I think players take these lines with over pairs all the time which doesnt make to much sense as they only getting called when they beat. Its pretty bad play so am happy to take his money.

www.pokerhand.org/- Not giving the villan credit, his line didnt make much sense as we he was just snap betting it. I thought he would at least think about it if he had a hand, Im sure im giong to get shown a monster here sometime but will see.


www.pokerhand.org/- Here i was watching another hand and didnt realise i was the PFR of a limper so i was going to check riase, anyway on the turn i bet small cuase thought i was way ahead and didnt think any of them had a king- THe river is pretty funny, the flush gets there and fish hits two pair and thinks two pair is the nuts so ill riase and then call it off.

Played 1400 hands last night and managed to finish evenish, Im taking tongiht off. This month has been so frustrating!!
I havent had a session where i have lost more then 3.5 buy ins, yet im still stuck for the month. This is the longest period where i have run so bad for. I have obviously had down swings in the past, but nothing compared to this. I will complete a review of database as obviously i have leaks, and am playing bad in spots- But i dont believe im playing as bad as my results currently suggest.

I am playing pretty tight and not getting out of line much at all, i think i need to cut back on barrelling, i was intersted to hear that citizenwind doesnt 2 barrell that much, its either 1 or 3.

I feel like a huge month is just round the corner, need to try and regaain some confidence first as im starting to doubt my play alot.

Another thing that is frustrating, is when people complain about running bad over one session where they have just been on a sick run, honestly id like to see how they go when that happens to them session after session after session.
