Well I guess its time to pop my blog cherry. I've been meaning to start this ever since CR put up their blog section but as I seem to do with everything else in life I procrastinated. So since its a new year and the perfect time to make some changes I'm going to finally get this thing going. I don't know what this blog is going to be about but I'm hoping it will be an interesting read for whoever stumbles upon it.
So for my first entry I might as well jump on the band wagon and right about my New Year's resolutions
1. Live my life to the fullest. In the past couple of years I've felt like I've been going through life just passing time, not really having any exciting experiences or making any lasting memories. I'm only 22 but I feel like if I don't do something soon I will never be able to. I want to travel, meet new people, see the world, all the things you hear from people who say they wish they had done when they were younger. Well I don't want to be one of those people who missed out on opportunities because they were to lazy or preoccupied to notice their life passing them by.
2. Get into shape. When I say shape I mean better shape because I don't think I'm out of shape I just could be in a lot better shape. I want to be in as good of shape as I was in high school. I played 3 sports in high school and was never not playing a sport so it was kind of easy to stay in shape. That all changed when I went off to college it was kind of hard to get to the gym when there were bottles in the freezer and 30 racks in the fridge.
3. Improve as a poker player. I've played poker for about 4 years now and am still grinding SSNL in the past I've had some minor success but I guess overall I'm a slightly better than break even player. I need to become a better student of the game by watching videos, takings notes, reviewing sessions and talking with other poker players. These are all things that I've planned on doing in the past but been to lazy to actually put in the effort to do any of them. So hopefully in the new year I will be able to stick to my word.
4. Stop wasting time. I have this problem in that I love to waste time doing stupid things. For an example, I waste so much time on the internet it should be illegal. I mean youtube, espn, facebook, etc.etc.etc... So as a resolution I'm going to cut back on my wasting of time. Do something constructive instead of something pointless.
Well that's good enough for this year.
See ya,
