I am back...

I'm only human, and not every day is a great day and quite honestly I just couldn't find it in me to post.

I don't have a ton of readers, but had built up to a following of about 50 a day, and I guess I let them down.

Let me sum up the last week in this one post.

I had a pretty tough 5 sessions, and I began to get very frustrated. I got unlucky and started to play badly. I began to find myself refusing to believe my own reads, and when you do that you can get yourself into trouble.

For example, you get aces let's say 5 times in one night, and the first 4 times they don't hold up. You don't lose your stack, but it seems like an action card hits every turn completing not only a straight, but a flush as well and then on the board the river pairs, and there is no way your aces are any good. You don't lose your stack, but you do lose 1/2 a stack here, 1/4 a stack there etc.

I finally made it to 100,000 hands in the micro experiment, the official number right now is 100,228

It has taken 281 days of play to get this far, that's an average of 356.68 hands per day, not as many as some people play, but still quite a bit.

I didn't get any hands in Monday, but played 666 hands on Tuesday with a win rate of 14.79/100. I knew if I played some Monday, I would be able to hit 100K by Tuesday, but dammit I'm just about there with 99,688 hands.

Micro Stakes Poker

End Total: $824.04

+/-:+ $40.15

I played 936 hands and as you can see I put in a pretty nice win.

I will break 100,000 hands either Monday, or early Tuesday, depending upon how much time I can spend playing. If I had still been playing 6-max, I would have broken that goal a month ago.

I felt pretty good about my game today, and I found a really juicy table where I made a pretty good chunk of my win today [more]

Honestly it doesn't bother me to lose like I did Thursday night, what bothers me is that I have to drop back down a level. So that 4 buy-in loss, is truly an 8 buy-in loss because I now have to win 8 buy-ins just to get back to even. [more]
