Have you ever felt like you get to a certain bankroll and just get stuck. It's like your feet are in concrete and you just can't take anymore steps. I've felt like that so many times in the past year. Everytime I would break free, not long after I would be pulled back to the exact same spot I started. You just have to stand your ground and keep trying to inch forward. Eventually you will break free from what is holding you back. A couple of months ago, I was talking to one of my friends about this topic. I just c{mosimage}{mosimage}ouldn't get past a four-figure bankroll online. I am happy to say, I finally broke free and have been vaulted forward.
My stats aren't perfect and I don't win at 6BB/100 like some of the good players, but I grind out a profit each month. I have a day job, but the extra $$ are nice to have in PS and FT savings accounts. The more I win, the harder it is to drive to work each day knowing that just by grinding along I can make more sitting at home, but I have a family and need the security of a steady income to know that a bad month at the tables will not take anything away from them.
I know I am not very good at updating this blog, but I am vowing to update it at least three times per week. I think by reviewing my big hands in my blog, it will force me to find the mistakes I am making. Novemeber has been my most profitable month since playing poker 2 years ago. I am adequately rolled to play 5-10NL with the occasional shot at 10-20NL ( if the the right opportunity presents itself, i.e. fish).
I'm always reviewing the top losers and winners each day in pokertracker from datamining and wonder how some people can win at the rates they do, but after a couple of session the past few days I understand.
Monthly graph and stats will be posted tomorrow morning.
