Every poker player has bad days...I had the worst I've ever had. Ran KK, QQ, JJ multiple times into over pairs everytime. Donks calling down with btm pair and rivering two, flush over flush, etc etc. Lost 12% of my roll. No big deal though.

I'm deciding to get back to my roots of sng's. Mostly all HUSNG's. I am just not cut for cash games right now, plus the rake is sickening at low level limit.

Today played 5 HU LH SNG's and won all five. That is more like it. I will get back to cash games in the future no rush.

Had a decent day at 1/2 made about a hundred.

currently running 4.22bb/100 at about 1000 hands. I'm having a lot of problem profitably multitabling 6 max. Obv very low sample. I'm usually 2 tabling.

Anyways, realy good weekend beyond poker. Life is good.

Ran good at 1/2...spewed at 1/2...profit $26.50...3.44 BB/100...3 tabling...$27 in rake WTF!

I'm getting better though...Going over my Poker tracker now.

Kinda dissapointed. Ran too many 3 barrell bluffs...I love that I only try to bluff the maniacs that are showing down K high.

Good run at the 45's

Blog by : carpediem84

I have been laying decent in limit lately. I am def. having a lot of fun. 2 walker way

I am also loving 10-12 tabling the turbo 45 man sng's. I just played a seshion of 12 won 3, 2 other cashes, and two bubbles BLAH, but that is 7 of 12 final tables with 3 wins not bad. Got my ROI back over 100% too. My goal with these is to play 500-1000 3/45's then move up to the 6's or 12's. I've heard this from other players as well, but i run really bad in the 6's and good in the 12's. Weird. Small sampl sizes but never the less.

Anyways, picking up a few LHE books and watching all the vids. I think I will be able to put together a doable schedule for myself with LHE and the 45's.

Not too much play yesterday...I had one session of 10 tabling 3/45's for fun and mad 2, 4, 6 and 7th. I am having troubles getting first places in these. I have the collin Moshman book and I think I might reread that as I see these 45 man turbos lucrative. I am just messing around with the 3/45's getting used to multitabling them and the structure. I am going to put in 500 games (along with focusing on LHE) then move up...as long as I keep my ROI obove 50%.

As far as limit goes. I had a good day on WED. and played some heads up which was easy money. Yesterday I lost 50 or so playing 1/2....some uber sick hands...then some tilt bluffs.

I searched 2+2 and our forums here for books and hand charts. I found both. A GREAT hand chart that I would be glad to share if you message me. Maybe I will post it on the forums.

I would love to be in contact with othe LHE players if you are here. Message me. Lets discuss!

Limit HE

Blog by : carpediem84

After reading some very interesting ideas on the power of limit HE and how it helps in all around game play...which I obviously am looking for...I've decided to go back to my roots of limit HE. A few ups and downs the last few days, but I'm up playing 1/2 limit.

I have some serious leaks I need to fill which are absolutly spewing some big profits...and the fact that I must realize how much I am going to be outdraw playing this game by guys calling down with one overcard. I am quite happy. Lots of hands lots of action.

I will be focusing most my time to this and watching the LE vids on cardrunners, and hopefully pick up a book to read.

Day 2

Blog by : carpediem84

I am currently trying to put together a poker schedule for myself.

I know my goal is to become a well rounded player. But I am lost. Is it best to focus 100% on one game say for instance six max NL cash. Then when you feel you've got the game beat, then move on to mastering your next game. Or should you say I will focus on NL 6max cash Monday and Tuesday, MTT Wed. and Thurs, then say mixed games, PLO, HUSNG, etc on Friday.

I am very interested in this idea and am wondering how other have done with this this. I've heard mixed reviews so far on other forums. I would really appreciate some ideas. Can you private message people on here?

As for poker today. Def the day of suckouts, but to be expect playing 3/45's on Stars. Just about 5 different 2-3 outers, a couple runner runner striaghts/flushes, and plenty of others. The worst I got in with was a coinflip...no big deal though. It def. lets me know my tilt issues are getting cleared up.

Anyways, my roll is just over 1800 and I am planning on grinding the 3/45's, 6/45's, HUSNG's, and 4/180's. Until I reach $2500. At that point I will get back to cash games and start with 50BI and 50nl. So my current goal is the build 700. I honestly think I can do this fairly quickly 10 tabling the 45's.

I'll keep the blog posted with my progress. And as soon as I get there I plan on keeping a much more solid schedule.

First Entry

Blog by : carpediem84

Well this is my first ever blog entry. A bit about myself. I have been playing online for a few years now. Have overall been a winning player, but only began taking in seriously in the last year. Began crushing Party poker SNG's, and 3/6 limit. Cashed out all my winnings constantly and finally went busto. Did the same thing with Full Tilt after Party was closed to U.S. citizens. Then eventually moved to Stars about a year ago.

I got my own apartment, and began taking the game quite seriously. Focusing mostly on HUSNG's, and various other SNG's. Did quite well in the 5 card draw sng's as well.

So i actually built my current roll to about 6k from being down to $5. Unfortuanatly, I cashed out most of it here and there, and I am curently sitting on a $1800 roll.

I am having a lot of trouble sticking to one game. I am all over place all the time, and never taking the time to focus on one game. Im generall a winning player at all of them, but I know if I focus on one game I can do quite well. But I also get very burnt out, especially when I am consistantly winning I start to take it for granted and make stpid plays. Is this commen???

Anyways, my goal for this blog is to keep me accountable for my poker playing/studying. I'm thinking i want to just review my poker day each day and see where I am slipping or doing well.

I am very devoted to becoming a big winner in poker and I feel I have already proven to myself that I can beat the game quite well. I just wish my Bankroll would grow faster. God why did I withdraw that $$$$$$$$$$$. I really want to move up limits.
