Since this is my first blog I will use it to introduce myself, how I started playing poker, and poker goals.
I am a 31 year old married father of two girls living in clarksville TN, I am a currently deployed US soldier. I have been in the Army for about 13 years and have been deployed four times.
I started playing poker around the time that party poker was the biggest thing, how or why I started I cant remember for nothing. All I remember is sitting on the back deck learning to play poker on party. Well since then I have played on stars, FTP, and UB. I have been a slightly losing player or break even player but this will change. With my job I have to deploy alot and never really took poker seriously but I think its about time to prove to myself that I can play and beat the game. My plan is to start using this blog to talk about poker and life in general, hopefully with me talking about poker it will be one thing of alot of things that will help me improve my game.
My poker goals are pretty big (in my mind), right now I have 20BI at the .05 level and plan on playing Rush NL until I have 25 BI for the next level. I would like to get to 30BI for the .50/1.00 level before I redploy in Aug of this year. The hardest part of this i think is that I can only play two tables at a time for about 2-3 hours daily. Another thing that will stop me from doing this is plugging my biggest leak and that is the guy called tilt. To stop tilting I have done a couple of things, first one is i have notes on my monitor that says think before acting and prove that you can play and I will also be taking a break every hour for about 5-10 minutes no matter if I am winning or losing in that session.
Well until next Sunday I will blog every Sunday unless something big happens or I am not able to.
