Another set of tourneys at Ultimate Bet. If you didn't know at Ultimate Bet on saturdays in all their Guarenteed Tourneys if you make it to the final table you get a free entre into the 200k Gaurenteed on Sunday.
Normally I play six or seven of these tournaments all under $20 to make the normal money but then its always nice to come in tenth place and get a $215 ticket on top of it.
Well I only played two today came in 7th in the 12 o'clock $20 buyin and then busted early in the 1 P.M. $10 buyin with aces vs queens preflop. Obviously the flop came qj5 so gg me.
The most interesting thing was the player who actually went on to win the $20 buyin. He tried to play every pot no matter how much you raised preflop with anything that could possibly look good. (77, 56s, a4s, 52s, 47s) You know premium hands for allins preflop.
Well I came into the final table in 3rd place with about 25k in chips. Noticed he limp called an all in without even close to pot odds with 910o and another with QJo. So I realized I just needed to wait for a hand and just double up through him.
I lost one race and got blinded until I had about 17k with a 1600bb. Donk man limped and player to my right limped, I'm on the button with QJs. I decided to shove on account I am basically guarenteed to have the best hand right now and there was sooo much in the pot already, almost 7k. He calls me with 74s and hit the nut 4 on the turn as I watched my open ended straight, flush, and pair draw blank on the river. GG me.
I guess Jamie Gold is now playing $20 buyins who would have thought it. He went on to win the tournament somehow.
Well, tomorrow is the Patriots vs Colts game, and I really hope I can unregister for the tournament tomorrow on account there is no way I am missing this game! GO PATS!!
I messaged UB support and got A+ usual support. You ask a simple question like can I unregister for the tournament and they send me to the promo page that does not answer my question and then ignore me from then on.
If anybody knows the answer can you PM?
