If anyone has comments on these stats feel free. I'm finally running half my tables at 25 nl now, but don't have more than a couple thousand hands yet. Here are some stats from 10 nl.

$25nl super aggro?

Blog by : Bellini4

Just a quick comment. Sat at 1 table of $25nl, and I could not believe the amount of 3-betting. I'm sure it was just the table I was at, because all the instructional videos up to 50nl I have watched do not play like that. Either way, with the right adjustments I'm sure it is quite profitable. Going to wait until my bankroll is bigger though, because I'm sure I'll drop a few buy-in's trying to adjust to the play. I'm used to always being the aggressor at $10nl, and might have to learn to trap more when I move up. Also, need to learn not to play as scared money, as I'll be calling these aggro players down a lot lighter. That move probably won't happen for a month at least. In the meantime, I'm going to try and figure out how to post some interesting hands from my latest sessions.

-This was a weird hand, as I put him on 44 through 99, and since he checked the river to me I couldn't put a flush in his range. Or at least it was a very small portion of his range. I saw a lot of value in jamming the river, but maybe I am wrong. Comments on this hand are welcomed.

Cheers for now,

Blog post numero dos

So I stumbled on my no booze hiatus. In my defense, it was the long weekend and I had already made plans to go out of town. I was having dinner on a patio, on a lake, so it kind of felt right to have a few beers with my meal. On the poker front, I put in a couple hours today and ran really well. It's always good to run like god at micro stakes too because everyone pays you off. The only bad beat was an all-in pre-flop for about 125 BB's. I had KK against 5-7s and got sucked out on. Pretty sick, and it's not like he was 4-bet bluffing me, I 4-bet jammed and he called it off. What are you gonna do though?
I'm happy with my VPIP now getting closer to the PFR. Not sure how to interpret the other stats too well though so if anyone has any comments please feel free. I feel that my winrate is really good, mostly due to winning like 5 buy-ins today though, it should drop over the next couple thousand hands.
I've also been experimenting with meditating before a session, that seems to help me stay off tilt. It's probably also due to the amount of hands I've been getting in, the more I play the better I am at knowing my state of mind and then either controlling it or quitting.
I'm feeling good about jumping up stakes pretty soon, maybe by the end of the month. Although, when I have tried to jump up stakes before I would get intimidated and play too passively at first. Just have to put in the hands and get comftorable with the gameflow I guess.
The last thing I wanted to talk about was people, like myself, who work full-time and try and put a lot of hands in. It seems that I don't have the energy and concentration on weekdays that I do on weekends. I'd really like to be putting in 2-3 hours per day after work, but it's just so hard to stay on point for that long after a day of work. Any suggestions out there? Could also be that I got a new position that requires a lot of thought every day. There is no physical work involved, but I am mentally busy all day. I'm sure I can adjust to it, just have to grind it out until I can move to stakes where I actually make money to spend.

Here are the current stats.

No Booze, no spending.

So, I am officially a Blog noob. Just wrote a whole entry and managed to erase it without saving anything. Here are some stats from my 10NL sessions. I am working on getting to 25NL by the time I hit 25000 hands. I'll post those stats once I make it. I usually run 4 tables, but will probably go with 2 - 25NL and 2 - 10NL once I make the jump. At least until I have 10 buy-in's X 4 tables worth in my bankroll. My winrate right now is lower than I would like but I'm working on making less incorrect hero calls and lowering my VPIP. I'll talk about that more in upcoming posts, as I have erased everything I previously wrote and don't feel like writing much longer. Also, as per the title, I am on a booze and spending hiatus, I'll also talk about that some more in upcoming posts, but I'm 16 days in right now and hope to make it a total of 2 months to start.

Cheers for now,

Bellini
