Well, I've been playing a week again now and so far it's been a disappointment. I've lost out on big hands when I've been called down to the river, an example of which is posted here. This has caused me to question the way that I play hands, particularly when I'm convinced that I'm ahead against a villian's range. I'm starting to question my ability to control a pot size, or even whether I'm playing too tight. Consequently I have no confidence at the table at the moment and this is also having a negative effect on my game. I'm gonna keep plugging away for another week and reviewing my hands and see where I end up next week. This week however I've finished down.
On a side note and with a slightly more positive outlook I played my first live game at a local casino. I feel like I played really well, played tight and aggressively and was no where near as nervous at the table as I thought I was going to be. Had shaky hands for the first pot I entered with pocket Queens, but I took down the pot and that seemed to settle me. Made it to the final two tables from a field of 80 players before getting short stacked and shoving all-in when I flopped a set. Unfortunately got unlucky when a caller hit his flush draw on the river but all in all I was very happy with the way I played. So although I didn't cash I feel happy with the way I played in that environment for the first time.
