Blog by : balleryen

after dropping couple more Ks on 2/4
i cashed out everything in my account but 20k
i'm going to challenge myself to gt 100BIs in 50 days at 1/2
its just a small challenge that i set myself up so that i can be more motivated
and once i reach 40k again
i will start taking 2/4 shot again
i will only allow myself to use 5k shot taking
once i drop more than that
i will move back to 1/2 again

anyways~the challenge will start at my next session
i will try to keep u guys update
people feel free to join the challenge
lets hope we all meet the final goal
thx for the reading and gl on table

How bad and hot can 2/4 regs run.....

Blog by : balleryen

unlimited suckout edition~actually didnt expect this to come this early.....

1. i believe i played this wrong, i shouldve raised on flop and maybe get it in on flop
http://www.pokerhand.org/?3909566

2. had history w/ this reg, know that he likes to chase a lot
http://www.pokerhand.org/?3909568

3.i dont know how to play differently on this hand especially blind vs blind
http://www.pokerhand.org/?3909583

4. standard set over set, but guess what! same guy again that i was playing w/
http://www.pokerhand.org/?3909588

5. very tough spot, he claimed that he got qq afterward....not sure tho
http://www.pokerhand.org/?3909589

all that plus 4 50bb coolers and bad beat and one 100bb kkvsaa
i know this is all variance, but in less than 2k hands,
thats just too much to handle,
for now all i can do is just wait for my coach's video feeback
there must be somehting wrong with my game
this can not continue like this
otherwise, sooner or later i will go busto....
anyways, thx for reading and good luck on the table

offcially playing at 2/4 NL

Blog by : balleryen

although for the past week i had suffered the biggest down swing in my poker career(25-30 buy-ins)
i have realized something: im just another robot like others!
instead of playing 12-16 tabling everyday at 1/2
what i should do right now is to improve as much knowledge as possible so that i can beat the 2/4 and 3/6 by the end of this year.
at this point, i believe im ready for this new challenge
although the swing can be huge, which i have been suffered for the past week
i just still believe that the limit is something i can and will beat within this year
i told myself that my goal is to be on the top 10 list on tablerating for at least few months (pokerstars btw)

so i will try to randomly post some interest hand and my life a week
lets see how i will do for the next few months

good luck on the table

My 1st yr as poker pro

Blog by : balleryen
0

Today was actually the first time that I played in those Sunday tournaments. I played 3 of them and lost them all as I expected.... it's been a very difficult weeks, which i dropped about 2-3k. Instead of complaining and crying about all the bad beats and bad lucks, I decided to pull out the pokertracker and check out the whole stats as I had been throughout this year.

After seeing these stats and the graph, I have realized that it's really been a long way for me to become who I am right now in just one year. Just a year ago, if u told me that I can make 50k in a year, I will laugh at u...very hard! so after i added those tournamnets winnings and the RB, i have made about 75k just from poker alone for the past year. this is just so hard to believe! i alomst felt like crying as im writing this....! i really have to thank CR and 2+2 to help me to the stage as im right now. without all the CR's videos and 2+2 posts, i would not be able to motivate myself to keep grinding and stuff, so ty guys!

as you can see, im not really good and hu, also im a huge nit! although i had some success on 2/4, i somehow just can not cross that mental barrier, 400 on one table just feel like a huge amont of money for me. so right now im looking for ways such as getting a coach to help my game, hit me if u guys have any suggection. coz i believe that by playing 22/15 wont take me far in the future for sure. btw, what is the price range for coaching?? anyone got idea??

and for those who just start playing poker, i think im a great example for all of you. i learn this poker game all by myself. none of my frds play. so i believe by using CR and 2+2 , u all can and will be just like me, although i truely believe many of u will be even better than me. so just keep ur head up and play the game in the rught way, u too can make it as far as you want to be at.

thank you all for reading once again andgl on table.

ps. hopfully somone can help me out w/ the coaching! living in Vancouver BC would be even greater!!

Our deepest fear

Blog by : balleryen
0

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Samuel L. Jackson stars in this inspiring true story of Coach Ken Carter.

Doyle Brunson on what Poker is really all about

Blog by : balleryen
0

Well there's an old saying. The only thing you need to play this game is a chip and a chair.
But to sit down and win against the best, you need a whole lot more.
Poker actually isn't about winning or losing, Poker is about making the right decision.
You've got to know when to call, when to fold, when to push all in.
When luck shuts the door, you've gotta to come in through the window. That's where the skill
comes in. you gotta have the courage to play.

Courage doesn't necessarily mean the absence of fear. But you gotta to swallow that pride and throw that hand away when you know you are beat.

When you are really on your game you can look your opponent in the eye and you know if you have him or he has you.

It doesn't matter how good you are, everything can change when those cards are in the air.
We don't stop playing because we get old; we get old because we stop playing.
That's Poker folks. - from Doyle Brunson

So i try to read this every time before i start my session, i truely believe this would allow me to be more focus in each session.

limit so far: 1/2 6 max and .5/1 heads up

new month, new start, back to grind

Blog by : balleryen
0

Ever since my first 10+ month back in February, the past two months had been disaster. I was only making around 2k during each month, which is terrible. This month, I decide to move back to .5/1 for the full month, at the same time, I will keep playing .25/.50 heads up until I get 3k on my Full Tilt account.

Today, as usual for me, clean up my room and everything at the last day of the month to welcome the new month. Just hope things can all work out the end of this month. I am really looking forward to put up bunch of hands this month (100k hands is my goal). I will keep you guys updated and GL
