I just heard back from Poker Stars about a few questions I asked and I am really stoked about the info I learned. If you are a US player they actually let you carry on your VIP status from 2011 as well as your VPP's earned for the year. That may make the decision to play there a lot easier. I was Supernova and had around 45k VPP's, so that will set me up very nicely for rakeback, especially since I'm planning to play a lot of volume there. Most importantly, it will let me get rakeback immediately and build my bankroll quickly, instead of having to play hundreds of thousands of hands to get back to Supernova. Looks like you may see me at the 100-200NL zoom tables in a month!
Another thing I like about Poker Stars is the fact that it is profitable but you are also playing against the best players for each particular limit. That is the kind of field I want to play against if I want to build my skills.
