There's no magic secret that poker coaches know and you don't which will turn you from a poor or mediocre player to a crusher. It sounds really obvious, but it actually took me a long time to realize that. It's easy to get swept up in the latest strategy that is being spread around and wishfully think that it will turn your results from mediocre to great. I've spent thousands of dollars on various poker coaches, poker training products, and poker training sites, getting a large variety of results ranging from a waste of money to a great investment.
I will show you how to become a better and more successful poker player, but you're going to have to put a fair amount of work into it. I've been successful at making a living over the past two years playing at the small stakes NL games online and I know what it takes to be a winner at the games. I'll challenge your thought process and suggest new strategies for you, but it will be up to you to learn and implement them correctly. I hope you're up for the challenge!
My goal as a poker coach is for you to win more money at the poker tables than the price of the coaching. There are several positive results that will come out of personal coaching with me: you will fix leaks in your game, your confidence as a poker player will be increased, and you will be able to interact and make connections with other players at a similar skill level to you. As your coach, I'll provide a structure and support system for you to accomplish your poker goals.
No Limit Hold'em
I have been making a living playing small stakes NL since August '10; it's definitely my bread and butter game. I've played it all; full stacked, half stacked, big sites, small sites, full ring, and 6-max. I've had success at each variety. I realize that each site and stake has its own unique dynamic and not only can I help you make assumptions about your opponents at each, I can help you figure out where you should play to maximize your success at the tables.
In my mind, there are three components to being successful at No Limit Hold'em: playing the right games, understanding stats plus having the right software setup, and using the right strategies at the tables. The first two are simple and we can knock those out right off the bat to give you a quick increase in your success. We will go over your site selection and table selection and figure out if it is optimal to meet your goals. I will send you some of the HUDs and pop-ups that I have developed that will suit your needs. The bulk of our time will be spent discussing and optimizing your poker strategy.
My goal with NLHE coaching is to make you a better player by working on your thought process with poker hands and developing your gameplan to adopt proven winning strategies. Throughout my experiences as a student of a variety of coaches and training sites, I have been exposed to many different strategies and have picked out the most effective ones. For examples of my strategy and philosophy on poker, look at my strategy blog: http://awesemo.net/blog/.
Cap NL
If you want to make a high VIP level on Poker Stars, Cap is your ticket. Since I have been able to play on Poker Stars again, I have been spending a considerable amount of time learning and playing 20 bb cap NLHE. Cap is all about volume. If you are a dedicated player you can make Supernova Elite through a year of play and make up for the smaller win-rates through the volume you're able to play and a high rakeback percentage. I'm gearing up for a SNE run of my own in 2012 by mixing cap and full stack NL.
The key to making money playing a lot of volume is getting all of your basic strategies perfected and getting your confidence to a level where you can play a large amount of hours effectively. I see a lot of guys who play a sick volume of hands, some of whom even rep their SNE status on the tables, with really obvious leaks that would be easily fixed. In Cap it's a little bit easier to figure out optimal strategies, and I have done so using CardRunners EV. I can show you how to do the same for your own game and also show you the solutions. Similarly, postflop situations are easier to solve using software.
I will help you develop a solid preflop and postflop strategy so that you can reach Supernova or Supernova Elite and start making some serious money. We will develop your basic game-plan in every common scenario so that you are prepared to make a confident decision in a short amount of time.

Booking
When you set up coaching with me, you can expect a coach who is professional, friendly, and interested in helping you achieve your poker goals. To me, being someone's coach is about more than just helping them once weekly or bi-weekly. It's about being there for a student when they need someone to talk to about poker and motivating them to succeed by building confidence and fostering enthusiasm.
My rate is $60 per hour. If you are my student, you are also entitled to time I spend aside from our sessions I spend with you on Skype or email discussing hand histories.
If you book several sessions at once I give a discount. For five hours, you can get a package for $270. For ten hours, you can get a package for $500. For the next week, you can book sessions at an additional 10% off.
To set up a session send me an email at awesemopoker@gmail.com. For more information, check out my website, http://awesemo.net/.
