it's been a fun week. i ran white hot on sunday and won a bunch of money (even tho i did not win a tournament, but i did get 2nd in a big $100 freezeout) and then i also won on monday, tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. that doesn't happen very often! i had the rungoodz.

and then on friday all of my good luck from the previous days came back to bite me on the ass. oh wow i haven't run that bad in a while. literally everything > $50 buyin i just instantly busted, whether getting it in bad or getting beatz. i'm used to sucking out on everyone! so about 3 hours into the session i decided "f it" and un-regged from everything else and then made some questionable plays to liberate myself from the rest of my tourneys. have not tilted that bad in a while. sometimes you just can't help it when you play like 30 tourneys in a day and only manage to build a stack in a $5 freezeout. i was probably just burned out from 4 straight 12 hour sessions in a row. taking today off to make sure that does not happen again.

WCOOP starts on sunday! holy crap that's so exciting! i might end up selling extra action to the 5k main event, though, because busting the WCOOP 5k is a sting rivaled only by busting the WSOP ME. hurts much less to bust a 1k.

i have left chicago. we packed up all of the beatles booty and hit the road at about 10:00 PM. we were home by 12:30 despite 1 lane of traffic for miles. i watched some downloaded episodes of "gangland" on my laptop, so for me, the trip flew right by.

i was back in my hometown, normal, IL! it's not as lame as it sounds. normal is the home of illinois state university as well as a shitload of trees. and don't forget about cornfest! now that i live in the desert, normal's tree-lined streets seem so appealing. not to mention grass. wow, grass is awesome. screw the desert. seriously. unfortunately i'm going back on wednesday, so i won't get to find out how long it would take for the novelty of being surrounded by green plant life to wear off. i will miss it, though, i do know that.

the next day, after a quick visit with my grandpa, i hit the road for the famed peoria, IL. home of world famous big al's, lake peoria, CAT, and the saying "will it play in peoria?" it's also where i spent 4 years of my life directly after high school (but only 2.5 of them actually enrolled full time in college). my best friend still lives here (who, ironically, is also named augie) as well as a few other friends from college.

we hit up a few old haunts and i consumed far more alcohol than my liver could process. at the last bar, augie and i crushed some friends in darts, but got served in two contests of bags. and some townie was giving the performance of his life on the steel wheels for the captive 10 person audience. i wish he had turned the volume down, i hate shouting at someone who is 3 feet away from me!

after an invigorating 4 hours of sleep, we have arrived at the present moment. i am sitting alone, in the dark, on augie's couch, hung over as shit. he really needs to wake up asap so we can get some grub.

still blogging you from beatlefest. i took the train into chicago today just for the heck of it. i wandered around for a couple of hours until i was too sweaty to continue. walked through millennium park and down by the lakefront, and then came back. chicago is super awesome; i totally want to live here when i grow up.

hello ladies and gents, i am blogging you from chicago, IL!!! soon i will be in normal, IL and then peoria, IL. it's the grand tour of illinois! (there's nothing good in southern IL do not worry).

right now i am at beatlefest!!! it brings back so many memories. i came here every year when i was a kid, and it's been at least 10 years since the last time i was here. my dad has the largest collection of beatles memorabilia in the world, and he packs it all into his truck and comes here every year to show it off. apparently this is his 25th year!!

sadly i had to miss the FTOPS 2.5k and i'm going to miss sundays tomorrow. probably worth it; at my current rate of visit, i will only get to see my family about 60 more times in my life so i better make the most of it!

when you don't have much to blog about.

just been playing lots of online poker and going deep in plenty of stuff (like usual) but not winning. so when that happens i lose a lot of money and i become a sad panda. so then, i am forced to go to the slider truck to crush some sliders. that is where i'm going right now.

i went the other day with the great gobboboy, and we ordered 1 of everything (its a short menu) and consumed it rapidly. the one bad thing about the slider truck is that everything is so flippin good, there is always a line!

i've been screwing around with the Hawk Harrelson soundboard lately; i'm trying to figure out how to incorporate soundboards into my videos...there is great potential for hilarity.

it appears that you can rhyme sunday AND monday with the word "funday." that's good now i have at least 2/7 subject lines taken care of.

i was gonna not play poker today and record a video instead, but then i saw that the FTOPS is omaha8 and I can not resist. the tourney will be soft and it will be a good chance at a JERSEY!


edit: oops i lied i'm not playin ftops. i was gonna late-reg but as time passed, and the thought of playing an omaha8 tournament for the next 9 hours lingered in my mind, i wussed out. now i'm going to the gym instead. be back in an hour to re-edit when i wuss out on the gym.

or not! so many deep runs ending in heartbreak today. more big stacks than usual...got a lot of bad beats deep in stuff but i usually dispense plenty of them myself so woteva. just frustrating to not win on one of the biggest days of the year when you have like 6 deep runs.

one guy i've been coaching, galacticos23, made a final table! gooooooo galacticos! sadly he finished 4th. i think i may do a leakfinder with him sometime in the near future.

i'm flying back to normal this weekend. i'm gonna see my mommy and my grandma and augie 2!

i like that word. plus, it sounds like "a blog" which is what this is.

i'm playing PLO tournaments today. i usually skip the weekly saturday ones...i hate PLO tournaments and never do well in them, maybe i suck? i must, since i barely cashed in anything yesterday.
